So i just watched this, absolutly loved it and definitly in my top 5.
However that ending wasn't really satisfying.
Shichika was fucking amazing at the final fights
You made this thread yesterday aswell OP.
Shut the fuck up, it was, suck a cock, and rewatch it.
I recently started re-watching it, I forgot a lot of stuff that happened since its been like a year or so which makes it great to go back through.
THE ENDING FUCKING SUCKED
YES I'M STILL MAD
I don't recall, i just finished the show a hour ago.
SHORT HAIR A SHIT
This series and Bake take place in the same universe correct?
>There are people who didn't get the plot of this anime
>Who still thinks Togame should have lived
>And Hitei Hime should've died
This is why I hate faggots from /v/ unnable to interpret anything except their "deep vidya xD"
Seriously, you guys didn't get shit, and if you by any chance DID get it , which you DIDN'T you're retarded for being unhappy with the ending.
Now read a "Katanagatari Explanation" or something, because you're stupidity is showing too much.
>Any storie with "monogatari" in it is in the same universe
>because "monogatari" doesn't mean "tale/story" in japanese
>it's a word unique to this universe
Short hair is worst hair indeed. One of the things that left a bad after taste in my mouth of this serie.
Then again maby they did it on purpose, would we appreciate the long beautiful hair if it was never cut? We appreciate something way more when it is gone.
Then oh great wizard enlighten us with your ways. It's not that i don't get it, i get what they are trying to play at but i have to like it because it's the plot?
>Nanami cut Togame's hair in front of the Buddha, as in a wedding (with Shichika)
>Her hair was also cut, signifying that she is moving away from her destined self (Yousha Hime) towards Togame, who loves Shichika
Can you guys just... stop posting or something?
>Everything is logical
>Everything is wrapped up
>Everything is ended in a neat fashion
>Objectively worst girl loses
>Objectively best girl wins
>"It's not that i don't get it"
But you don't anon, you don't.
>Both written by the same author
"No, they aren't directly related.
Katanagatari is a 12 episode anime series. The only relation Katanagatari has to Bake and Nise is that all three of these anime are based on light novels written by NisiOisin, but otherwise Katanagatari isn't related to Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari at all."¨
You don't have to be a huge dick about it.
I am just getting tired of seeing the same thread each day.
>OP is someone being too retarded to get the point of the series
>Dislikes the ending
>Other retards flock to the thread, screaming: "MUH TOGAME AND PENGIN ;_;"
>They form this cancer-ball, infecting /a/
Why everyone is making such a huge drama about the ending? It was cool.
I get your point, but next time use some softer words. Also it's not that i dislike the ending, it just left me a bad after taste. Just like bebop.
>just like bebop.
Don't expect me to be friendly, don't expect anyone to respect your opinion. This isn't /v/ or /b/ son, if you want sugarcoating go to any other board.
I know how you feel. I don't think I've seen a decent thread about this show since it aired and it's one of my all time favorites. It seems like every time this thread is made ten more anons pick it up but don't even glance at the lengthy explanations of what happened. Let alone pay any attention to the show; all most of them get out of it is some best girl/worst girl shit like this was a generic harem. The ending wasn't going to be a happy one, you could predict that a mile away. But it seems like every single person is blindsided and incredibly disappointed. I have to wonder if we were even watching the same show because I don't understand how someone can claim to have enjoyed 11 episodes of pure dialogue and then not understand how the ending was thematically consistent. Katanagatari is a story about failure and the threads all continue the tradition.
Now you sound exactly like /v/ /b/. But lets stop this meta discussion.
Here you go again, OP.
What i do not understand is why Yasuri and Hitei became so familiar at the end.
You don't understand why? Because they didn't hate each other. Because there is something called "timeskip" (this means that time passes in the story, but it is just a couple of seconds for the reader/viewer). it would be strange if they WEREN'T familiar.
Now stop bumping thread.
What's with all these threads about Katanagatari in the last 3 days?
But Hitei kind of ordered Togame death. Even tough it was suppose to happen but still how can you be friendly then.
Honestly i want to hear your point of view, don't get upset or anything.
>But Hitei kind of ordered Togame death
and Togame planned to kill Sichika, did Sichika hate Togame?
Not really. Kiki is hte antagonist in this series, not Hitei. She "ordered" Togame's death because of the role she (Hitei) was given by Kiki. Togame was on the other side of the "destiny"-battle, and thus the person called "Hitei Hime" and "Yousha Hime" were destined to kill each other. Togame and Hitei was not. Yousha means "acceptance" so it's natural that she accepts her fate, while Hitei denies it. Just by understanding this, it's clear to see that Togame accepts that she's going to die. Hitei denies it.
There is also the final scene in the castle where Shichika asks Hitei Hime: "Did you hate her?" where she responds with a no. The quarrel was between Togame and Hitei. There was of course the quarrel between Emonzaemon and Shichika, but these two battles are separate.
After the castle, what are two people who're not really meant to exist (Hitei and Shichika were both "made" by Kiki, in an attempt to thwart history) supposed to do? Of course they should travel together.
Now i am confused, she did?
This is what I mean about people don't getting shit.
Please, read an explanation on katanagatari.
Also, she said it straight out (if she were to follow her fate) that she would kill Shichika if she had succeeded in ruining Hitei's plan. Did you even watch Togame's death?
Also, please stop bumping this thread. Just read a fucking explanation.
Thanks, you added a few things wich made think about a few points i missed. Thanks for the patience.
You faggot why have you got to make the same shitty thread twice?
>liking any of the shitty gatari series.
Best girl won.
Hell, she didn't even tell Emonzaemon to kill her, it's an idea he gets on his own under the influence of Kiki, for the purpose of making the complete blade
Not directly, but when she found out who togame's father were she said somethign like "It's a shame that it had to come to this"
Katanagatari fans, minna-san.
I finished it last night. That was one of the better series I've ever seen. OP, the point of the ending was him becoming a functioning person, sticking his finger to Togame's demands, and living on his own terms. You can see how much the dynamic between him and others has changed in the end, he isn't just a tool.
I agree about his character development, but it wasn't so much that he went against Togame's wishes as it was that he didn't need to follow them anymore.
The final episode was great, regardless of how the way the series ended, though I felt that Togame's death speech dragged on longer than it needed to.
That's actually one of my few criticisms of the series - the dialogue feels drawn out and redundant. No I don't have ADHD and I like dialogue-driven shows just as much as action shows. My problem is that they took much longer than they needed to to explain things or banter; it felt like they were padding out the episodes with conversations that took far more than enough time for what they needed to convey. The dialogue wasn't concise.
Best girl wins
It was great, including the ending.
>The ending wasn't really satisfying
It's one of the best endings. Because the bad guy got what she deserved in the end, despite her coming to love Shichika, she knew that she received what she deserved after all the shit she did, also Princess best girl
But that's wrong.
These threads are just as bad as people asking if there is going to be an OVA to show the missing fight. How can people not understand jokes?
Better question is why do people bump dying threads just to whine in them?
holy fucking shit anon. This just made my morning.
tomorrow can't come fast enough.
