>In this world (Kill la Kill's) the single uniquely honest person is Ryuuko.
Ryuuko only good girl in the cast confirmed. Other lying sluts are you even trying?
episode 15 was so good
i wouldn't be surprised if most of the budget was put into it and the rest of the show looked like shit except for the finale
How is Mako not honest? What, cause of the one time she sort of lost her way? Ryuuko lost her way too, in a much more violent manner.
Honesty has nothing to do with losing your way.
Mako's constantly concealing her power level and manipulating Ryuuko by acting retarded. If you didn't pick up on this, you aren't paying attention.
Right, but Mako isn't dishonest.
She's also just about the only sane person in Honnoji.
Trigger will always love their boring mary sue MC, the same way the WWE loves John Cena.
I noticed in the last thread (before it went 404) that someone said that Gama is supposedly "corrupted" by Satsuki. Now,love Gama, but as we could see,he's definitely not perfect. He perfectly went and followed Satsuki on his own accord after being asked by her.He certainly sees something in her way of doing things that appeal to him and he gives her his loyalty.
He's not corrupted or anything. He's not some kid that got caught in the bad crowd by bad luck.
Funny that is sort of related to OP's topic.
But Satsuki is the boring Mary Sue.
Oh, it's his fault just as much as Satsuki's that he's been corrupted, but still, you feel for him. Satsuki was able to save a kid when he was not, so he feels she is more morally righteous.
Ryuuko and Satsuki are both boring mary sues that Trigger is in love with. This is why their fights never really end in a satisfying manner, because their "epic" rivalry can't ever have one of them look bad.
Honest is a weird word in japanese. It can mean the literal "Truth Telling" sense, but it can also mean moral integrity. Like, how likely a person is to steal, or cheat, etc.
Her defining character trait is going on and on and on about whatever's on her mind
How is she not honest?
You can be dishonest without having to lie anon.
Even in that case, I don't see how Ryuuko stands out from Mako. Actually, Ryuuko has always been pretty self-centered to tell the truth. The last arc had her ignoring multiple invasions to get her magical skirt back.
Did you see the fight club episode?
>makofags being this assblasted
Mako's uniform didn't have a banshi/life fibres.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Did you see the episode where Ryuuko turned into an eldritch abomination and needed to be stopped by Mako before she killed Senketsu and herself out of rage?
Yea, but thats no different than how she's always been. Ryuko doesnt care about anyone other than her friends and her personal goals, and she hasnt betrayed that nature since Episode 1
Well, there was that one incident.
I think you're just reading into things a little much. They said Ryuuko was the only "genuinely" good character - even Mako's had her faults, trying to murder her best friend namely.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with honesty.
You mean the episode where Mako held back the entire time?
Maybe Mako does something bad in the second half out of jealously of Senketsu.
>Mako's uniform didn't have a banshi/life fibres.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Yes, it did. Ryuuko just didn't absorb them.
Why the fuck would Satsuki give her a fake uniform?
Mako was confused and torn and it was Ryuuko's fault she was even put in that position in the first place.
But that's a load of bullshit. Mako gave Ryuuko a place to stay, love, and support. Saying Ryuuko is the only "genuine" character is fucking nonsense.
>Ryuuko turned into an eldritch abomination
> eldritch abomination
Lets see that again
> eldritch abomination
And in super slow motion
Holy fuck you are the dumbest fucking piece of shit on the planet. Kill yourself.
Yeah the one where she beat the hell out of her best friend because she was too weak to side with her and against her family even though that as what she really wanted.
Did Ryuuko attempt to murder anyone outside of Nui? Like, genuinely attempt to murder them?
Mako did. She attempted to murder her best friend. That's a black mark that can never be erased.
>not THE master ruseman
She's aware she's in an anime, and the safest role to be in an anime is the comic relief, so long as you keep acting silly you survive.
To test her true strength. Mako is unaware of her strength too, the whole time she thought it was the uniform, in reality it was fake and all the shit she pulled was herself.
But she didn't. She held back the whole time. I think Trigger desperately wants Ryuuko to be more interesting of a character than she is.
Truly a miracle of the universe and a bright spot in the shithole that is Honnoji.
To be fair, Mako didnt really attempt to murder Ryuko at all. She fought Ryuuko hoping she'd run away or something, but she stated she was holding back the whole time, hoping Ryuuko would beat her.
> Mako is unaware of her strength too, the whole time she thought it was the uniform, in reality it was fake and all the shit she pulled was herself.
Yes ; ;
Why wouldn't she?
If they both go all out then Mako dies.
If Ryuuko goes all out with Mako holding back Mako dies.
If Ryuuko holds back and Mako goes all out Ryuuko dies and Mako succumbs to corruption.
No matter the outcome, the victor would be the stronger of the two and be easily manipulated into Satsuki plan.
I'm fully aware the uniform had life fibres, I just think it suits the show and Mako better if punching a crater was simply her own strength.
because she wants to make her family happy and Ryuuko happy but they both wanted different things.
She was only fighting Ryuuko in the first place because Ryuuko decided that the Mankanshoku's were not living their life correctly. She wanted to abuse Satsuki's system to get them rich, dumped all the paper work on to Mako while she just fought people and then decided she didn't like it and wanted to be poor again.
It's like people forget Ryuuko's part in this shit completely and think Satsuki forced them in to doing this club or some shit, it was Ryuuko's idea. Satsuki made them fight to test their friendship and resolve because that's just the type of shit she does.
Not the same dude.
It's true.Mako attempted to murder her, manily in behalf of her family, but deep down she was holding back a lot.
She didn't really wanted to kill her.
They even say Mako was pulling her punches.
Mako's actions in episode 7 are by no means immoral. They're pretty much as moralfag as you can get. She wanted to support her family, and not kill her friend. None of it was for herself.
But she still fought her. She didn't give up immediately like she should have. She didn't realize that friends were more important than the facade she and her family were living in.
Mako's still morally corruptible.
Unless Mako actually is working some sort of angle, I'll just dismiss this tweet as Trigger hyping up Ryuuko.
God knows Ryuuko needs it, the bland cunt.
>yfw they get to Ragyo's office for the final battle, and when her chair spins around it's Mako
Nigga listen to me. Satsuki knows Mako's strength so she gave Mako a fake uniform, make her think she has actual power with it and thus getting her to release her full potential, that way she gets to collect data on Mako.
Shit makes sense yo, just wait and see for the second half of the show.
Why would Satsuki give a fuck at that point? She didn't even start to like Ryuuko until she triumphed over her system.
She wanted them to kill each other, and was pleasantly surprised when they didn't.
I swear the mental gymnastics Makofags have to go through sometimes is mind-boggling.
You mean she didn't just kiss Ryuuko's ass at the first possible moment. Remember, Ryuuko didn't even talk to her first, instead just saying I QUIT LOL
Holy shit, I hope you're trolling.
Mako was incredibly torn during that fight, she loves Ryuuko and she loves her family. I can see being upset at Mako's family because they appeared to turn on to greed so quick but all fucking Mako was doing was trying to make people happy but the people she loved wanted conflicting things.
Not to mention Ryuuko put her in this position in the first place.
>Life fibers doing typical weird life fiber pattern bullshit in the uniform.
Even if it wasnt a real 2 Star Goku uniform, it was still a life fiber uniform
Or rather, it was a two star, but the power didn't come from the two star.
Actions speak louder than words. Mako's actions were morally questionable.
I'm not saying she's Hitler, but she's already sinned. She lied to herself.
This is a given in Kill la Kill threads.
Oh wow, an overpowered MC with a stupid streak of red hair and asspull powers is the only honest person in her world. Am I on deviantart, or fanfiction.net?
It's been 15 episodes and Trigger has not done a single thing to make this character likeable at all.
Fuck you guys, I'm just trying to make this show a little more interesting with baseless speculation.
The show itself is a really letdown, let me spice it a little for fucks sake.
Ryuuko cheated Satsuki's system in an attempt to get richer.
I guess that's not sinning though and Ryuuko is an honest girl, though. Right?
Your speculation is stupid and you're stupid.
"Mako is God" is up there with the Flashback/Rainbow Scissors speculah in terms of absurdity.
Is Trigger actively trying to get people to hate Ryuuko?
I mean between this and the ungrateful shit she said about Mako at the end of Episode 15...fuck.
I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT
>Your speculation is stupid and you're stupid.
So you faggot think you can do better?
>Implying that had anything to do with getting richer
She was trying to smash her way through all of horse face's cronies to get to her while improving her friend's family's way of life. She couldn't care less how much money she had.
You want some baseless speculation?
Ragyo gives a speech about clothing being the original sin. She embellishes that sin by being the head of Revocs.
Nui is the Grand Couturier for Revocs. Now, a Couturier in a clothing company is responsible for overseeing the tailors, the production line, etc. She herself, being a GRAND Couturier probably directly oversees the life fiber production. Now, considering her nature and strange abilities, combined with her position and Ragyo's speech, I speculate that Nui is going to actually be the biblical Eve.
Mako being super strong could be true. Her being God is a bit of a stretch, though that would at least be interesting.
Fuck you, you reminded me of Royal rumble.
I'm still mad.
>goes on a revenge fuels rampage beating her way through multiple schools seeing red
>single uniquely honest person
Sure but it doesn't make her any less of a child.
>I mean between this and the ungrateful shit she said about Mako at the end of Episode 15...fuck.
"Ryuuko, Senketsu isn't your only friend. Remember, you also have me!"
Gama is honest about his love of NB girls.
Also, "Honest" does not automatically mean good, Ryuuko tells the truth, no matter how cruel it is. This doesn't mean she's can't be selfish or mean sometimes but she doesn't lie to anyone.
Because Ryuuko wanted revengence, but somehow that's more noble than trying to provide for one's family.
Yeah, this is better:
>Mako is actually dishonest
>Kamui Kobayashi gets an F1 drive
>Ryuuko confirmed for beta
So she's a transparent character.
So what? It doesn't mean she doesn't have any other flaws.
Right so you'll take liberties for Ryuuko but won't take any for Mako.
Mako fighting Ryuuko and not kissing her ass immediately makes her a bitch and sinful because apparently she shouldn't give a shit about what her family wants or how they can prove for them. If Ryuuko doesn't like something she should get her way.
>Oh but Ryuuko doesn't care about money.
Neither did Mako, dumbshit. Providing for your family actually sounds more honest than the revenge plot Ryuuko had going on at that point.
Mako and Satsuki have done nothing but save that bitches ass for 14 episodes but now we're all supposed to love her because she's honest.
Well, hold on a bit, champs. The new OP is about Ryuuko finding out how the world around her is lies, hence the title "Ambigious"
It very well could be that Mako is actually lying about something
>Nui is going to actually be the biblical Eve.
I hope none of you faggots think this is remotely passable but Mako being powerful without the need of life fibers is stupid?
But that's my point, she was trying to achieve her goal while at the same time helping Mako with her living situation. She can do both, get over it fucktard.
Mako DOES care about money dude.
What happens is that she won't give two shits about it when it really counts.
>she was trying to achieve her goal while at the same time helping Mako with her living situation.
Ryuuko was the one who decided that the Mankanshoku's could be happy with more money, then she didn't like them when they had more money so she wanted them to be poor again. They didn't ask and Ryuuko provided, Ryuuko just went out and did it herself.
All of this ended up doing was tearing Mako apart because she wants her family to be happy and provide for them and she thought they were happy but she also loves Ryuuko and want her to be happy. But Mako is apparently sinful because she didn't immediately bend to Ryuuko's will.
>Mako DOES care about money dude.
That episode wasn't about Mako's love for money, but about the love for her family.
That's why she eventually snapped and yelled at her family for not stopping her, she probably did agree with Ryuuko more than her family, but she also loves her family deeply and wants to provide for them and make them happy.
First, I think you're mistaking me for someone else cause I didn't say anything about Mako's fight with Ryuuko, that has nothing to do with Ryuuko's honesty. Mako has actually lied before though, most of it was silly comedic stuff but she has lied a couple of times.
I'm more than happy to admit that Ryuuko has flaws, she's selfish, brash, arrogant and rude but my point is that she doesn't lie and she does not deceive people to further herself or her goals. Hell she said she was creating that club so she could try to destroy Satsuki right from the beginning. Ryuuko isn't perfect, not by a long shot, but she is honest.
You guys really take Imaishi way too seriously considering he is mostly "style over substance" which is not really a bad thing.
I mean, I've seen threads deeply analyzing TTGL, P&S and LWA, the only show I haven't seen you guys over analyze is Inferno Cop which I think would take you to a whole new level.
Please see my other post here
I never said she was perfect or not selfish, I just said that Ryuuko doesn't lie. I think you are confusing me with another anon you were arguing with.
The only "lie" I can think of it was her saying Ryuuko's breasts were bigger than Satsuki.
>Kill La Kill as a wrestling show
>Ryuuko appears and gets chants of SAME OLD SHIT, SAME OLD SHIT, SAME OLD SHIT
>Crowd always hyped for Mako matches but she's relegated to commentary
>Nui is a heel that gets applause whenever she shows up
Honesty doesn't always mean that someone never lies.>>101121845
Ryuuko tried to cheat Satsuki's already shitty system because she decided the Mankanshoku's would be happier with more money, apparently because she correlated money with happiness.
A system Ryuuko also apparently opposes now.
>WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE MATOI
>EVERYBODY KNOWS MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD
Thats why I said baseless.
Ryuuko did not cheat Satsuki's system, she just used it to try and achieve her goal of destroying Satsuki, she even said as much when Satsuki asked her why. She never broke the rules of the system and she never tried to hide why she was doing it.
What about Mako?
When did Satsuki lie?
Oh she lied that one time to protect Ryuuko from Nui, what a dishonest person.
Please. Mako may be Daniel Bryan, but Ryuuko is CM Punk.
This. That tweet is fucking bullshit unless Mako ends up being the secret CEO of Revocs or something
>All these people equating Dishonesty just with lying.
>Ryuuko did not cheat Satsuki's system
Her club isn't an actual club, it was only approved because Satsuki saw an opportunity to trim the fat and use Ryuuko's power to get rid of unworthy 2 Star uniforms, and also I guess for Senketsu to feast on banchi threads because she's apparently big on making Ryuuko more powerful.
>Ryuuko is CM Punk.
It finally makes sense.
Don't you fucking dare compare Ryuuko to CM Punk. She is John Cena, the underdog that is no underdog at all.
Satsuki is CM Punk.
Mako a shit.
>Her club isn't an actual club
I find that hard to believe when she authorized shit like this.
>Ryuuko is an honest person
>Uses the old "sand in the face" tactic against Satsuki in episode 15.
Truly the best.
I don't know, I just might be on furaffinity.
How is that being dishonest?
She just wanted to give Junketsu a light snack during the fight. It was a friendly gesture, really.
Bitch it would be dishonest if she didn't give it her all to beat Satsuki and that includes blinding the enemy. This is fight to the fucking death not a pansy ass boxing match, you fight to win!
Holy shit, i just realized... Ryuuko basically did the ol' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTAXUYLbFYk
There is a difference between a silly joke club and something that isn't really a club at all.
Ryuuko's fight club is a club that only has Ryuuko in it and will only ever have Ryuuko in it and it only exists so the Mankanshoku's can have more money.
Ryuuko isn't even doing anything special for this club that she wouldn't do anyways. Not even any paperwork, she had Mako do all of it.
I'm surprised someone hasn't changed that to white.
Using the sand in face tactic is considered dishonest in sword fighting. Especially to a society like the japanese.
Yea, unless Mako has some super duper secret that gets revealed in the second half then fuck that tweet
Well Ryuuko uses a scissor so she's not sword fighting is she?
>You fight to win !
>Justifying dishonorable tactics.
You are everything that is wrong with this world. I bet you're a Zenidrone too.
Well that's fucking stupid! I would much prefer a smart protagonist over a stupid one who's always going >muh honor all the fucking time and deliberately giving their opponent the advantage because of it.
Exactly. People need to realize that Ryuuko jumped in the middle of a warzone, and was hellbent on reclaiming Senketsu.
I'd be pissed if she didn't give it her all to beat Satsuki. I want a rival, dammit, not a pussy bitch too afraid to get her hands dirty.
Besides, it's not like Satsuki was the pinnacle of fairness either, but all's fair in love and war.
>Satsuki is a bitch for being dishonorable in a fight.
>But Ryuuko can do it.
They're both bitches.
You know what i just noticed? Satsuki is just like JLB back when he was WWE champion and Cena was gunning for him.
You have a
>Veteran fighter who beats everyone to a pulp and is the villain
>They both have their own plans and both have their group of people filled with FOUR distinctive members each
>both are rich as fuck
And on the other side you have
>A young upstart person with the odds stacked against them from beginning
>They slowly beat the others Group until they work up too the big boss
>Along the way the slowly gain powerup after power up
chivalry is dead
I love dishonest protagonists. Lina Inverse, my favorite protagonist -in ANY medium- is a lying cunt. The issue is that Trigger is playing up Ryuuko's honesty, while ignoring that Mako is as, if not more, honest than she is.
Unless there's a TWEEST with Mako, but I doubt it.
Well if you're going to say that Ryuuko is a honorable and honest person then she should probably actually be both of those things.
In a fight to the death you fight to win, any less is disrespectful to your opponent. Take your honor and shove it up your gay ass!
A scissor in shape of a sword.
Smart or not, its still considered dishonest to the japanese, cuz it violates their idea of bushido.
>Besides, it's not like Satsuki was the pinnacle of fairness either
The thing is though, is that absolutely no one was claiming that.
People keep pointing out things for Ryuuko and all people can say is
>"Wait! Ryuuko, what are you do- ARGHBLGH! It's in my eyes! Ugh!"
>Ryuuko isn't even doing anything special for this club that she wouldn't do anyways. Not even any paperwork, she had Mako do all of it.
Exactly. It wasn't Ryuuko's club - it was Mako's. And it was completely legit.
Why is so best?
I said Ryuuko was honest not honorable you retard! Just because they sound similar doesn't mean they are the same thing.
No, it's considered disHONORABLE not dishonest. Fuck can't anyone here into reading comprehension? Just because two words sound similar doesn't make them the same thing!
Yeah just like it was fair for Satsuki to get help from Nonon and then didn't keep her promise of holding back her forces
Well, as legitimate as stacks of blank paper can be, that is.
Honest does not mean only lying, especially in Japan.>>101121845
Throwing something in someones face to blind them and then stealing their sword would be considered cheating. Was it a smart move by Ryuuko? Sure, but that's still cheating.
Is the next episode going to be delayed again?
It doesn't fucking matter what Satsuki does, you retard. We're discussing Ryuuko.
>Why the fuck would Satsuki give her a fake uniform?
Because her scouter saw Mako's power level.
>In a no holds barred fight to the death
You had better be fucking kidding
>Almost every time you try to discuss something at least one person will try to turn it in to a character battle.
This shit is so fucking annoying.
Of course it's a character battle, Trigger said that the only honest person is Ryuuko when that's clearly not true.
Unless Mako is actually the final boss or some shit
Well Trigger shouldn't fucking call her honest and suck her cock if she well, isn't honest.
Why does the context all of a sudden matter when it comes to Ryuuko but not matter when it comes to literally every other character?
I mean if you try to point out that Ryuuko did something dishonest people will try to say Mako or Satsuki did something worse, that's not the fucking point here.
Why does everyone keep equating honesty as telling the truth. Thats not the only meaning of honesty.
Selling out your friend for oodles of cash and power isn't honest.
It was Ryuuko's fucking idea. She whored herself out.
Between this and the whole "IT WAS ME, AUSTIN!" thing after episode 13, I have come to the conclusion that a large number of people on /a/ are former professional wrestling fans.
I like to imagine they were the sickly dorky kids that stayed in their rooms watching Naruto while their dad got drunk and loudly cheered on John Cena.
Yeah it was Ryuuko's idea to help give her friend a better life. Then Mako and her shit family turned into a bunch of douchebags.
It was Ryuuko's idea in the first place, Mako had no desire to capitalize on Ryuuko's friendship, but Ryuuko was more than fine with using Mako to do all the paperwork.
What's wrong with Mako doing the paperwork while Ryuuko did all the fighting? That's teamwork. But then Mako got greedy.
Ryuko never sold her friend doing it, the Makanshoku's were all the ones who let money change them. Ryuko's responsible but her actions where utterly honest, and her honesty is what snapped Mako out of it.
I just watched episode 7. I'm fucking bummed that Ryuuko didn't fight back, and that Mako pulled her punches. Sure, sure, power of friendship, yada yada, but it would have been nice if they could have hugged it out AFTER beating the piss out of each other
Mako didn't turn in to a douchebag at all, she just wanted the people she loved to be happy.
Deep down she obviously did end up agreeing with Ryuuko but she kept pushing on anyways because her family seemed happy where they were. Damn did you just completely fucking miss all of the parts where Mako continuously said she was going to work hard to keep everyone happy?
I fucking wish. See you next monday night.
No, she thought she wanted everyone to be happy but it was a lie, the glitter of greed or however she phrased it. Those where her own urges. But Mako's a good person, so deep down she was able to defeat her urges.
>and her honesty is what snapped Mako out of it.
No, she agreed with Ryuuko from the start but her family didn't. She eventually had enough and snapped at her family for not telling her to stop.
According to you she shouldn't have thought about her family at all and just kissed her ass immediately.
The ride never ends;_;
Anyways, Trigger needs to stop hyping shit tier talent like Ryuuko and burying GOAT talent like Mako
Monkey is an honest person too.
>she thought she wanted everyone to be happy
No, she wanted everyone wanted to be happy.
Stop trying to make up bullshit so this you can convince yourself this stupid quote is actually true and Ryuuko is the only honest person in the entire show(in fact she isn't even entirely honest)
I'm convinced you either didn't watch the episode or remembering it wrong on purpose because this conversation started when people accused Mako of whoring out her friend when that wasn't the case at all.
If Kill la kill was a WWE show. Gamagoori would be undisputed champion for life.
>needing someone else to tell her to stop beating the shit out her friend
What a weak willed friend.
How many people would hate Ryuuko if she was a boy instead?
Everyone keeps bringing up Mako's 2 Star Adventures to try and show that she's dishonest, but lets look at a slightly more current incident.
>Mako is in Osaka
>Been forced to work in the school raid
>Abandons her post first chance she gets when distracted by delicious foodstuffs
>Realizes she has no money to buy them.
>Coerces a Taka Grunt to shoot money at her.
>Steals said money from Taka Grunt and uses it to live it up Osaka style
>Completely ignores everyone else up until Ryuuko shows up.
How I wish I could end this ride
>implying Sanageyama isn't a blatant liar.
Right. The only reason Ryuuko is shown to be even slightly in the right is because Mako's dipshit family just immediately devolves into debauchrous morons. Mako herself, however, at worst becomes a workaholic.
>mako is a greedy cunt
news at 11.
Remember you're here forever. See you next monday.
There's a difference between lying and being overconfident.
Mako's greed and subsequent corruption as a result of attaining her material desires is something she is quite honest about in recent episodes, mentioning that she gets similar to Ryuuko when Ryuuko's desire to fight causes her to gain a metaphorical hyperfocus (ie. it overtakes other aspects of her life). If anything Mako is aware of her weakness of character and honest about that. The character recognizes balance's value in life.
I'm almost convinced they had her do that so they could tweet this out after the episode, it made no sense.
She asked the guy to shoot at her, and he did. What's dishonest about that?
Makes her a dishonest one too
Satsuki gave her the choice, if she wants to keep all her power put on the uniform and defeat her friend. She knew it was wrong and she was fighting against herself the whole time but she still did it, she wanted the power. How is a quote from Mako's own mouth on the situation not true? She literally says she thought she was doing it for their happiness but it was actually their greed.
She took someone's hard earned cash and used it to supplement her material desires
Its greedy. Which shows a lack of moral integrity. Lacking moral integrity is a form of dishonesty
Which makes the tweet all the more confusing. So let's have the most cynical interpretation of episode 7 possible, and say Mako wasn't well intentioned at all until Ryuuko turned her back... so what? That was then, this is now, and Mako is quite open about her moral failings(which she doesn't even really fucking have TBH)
For Trigger to say Ryuuko is the only honest person when Mako is more in touch with her feeling than Ryuuko is bullshit
I felt so bad for him there. He was so excited to fight.
It was nice drinking the tears of all the people who thought he would be a sword Jesus with his new power though.
>She took someone's hard earned cash
He was shooting it at people, as in throwing it away. If Mako can grab a bunch of it after being shot at at close range that isn't exactly stealing.
They have already admitted to be confused about the popularity of side characters more than the main character and antagonist.
Takarada, Nonon, Monkey. They can't fathom people care more about this characters than Ryuuko and Satsuki.
This tweet is pretty much damage control to keep Ryuuko revelant and make you side with her.
>This tweet is pretty much damage control to keep Ryuuko revelant and make you side with her.
This doesn't really help as it just makes her sound more generic than she already is.
I never said Imaishi & co. are doing it good. I just said they're trying.
>They have already admitted to be confused about the popularity of side characters more than the main character and antagonist.
>Takarada, Nonon, Monkey
I know, I'm just saying that I guess they're out of touch.
I'm convinced Ryuuko only has fans because she's moe at this point.
Imagine a KLK without Ryuuko and Satsuki
Gamagori's english VA is Patrick Warburton
Junketsu is Gilbert Gottfried
Give me some more people.
The difference here being that Ryuuko is less likely to turn to ulterior motives to attain what she desires. She doesn't do stuff like attempt to betray her friends. That could be what they mean.
Some people want Junketsu to be Wakamoto but I don't think it would fit.
It's fucking shit.
Other tweets. Mostly regarding the western fanbase liking Nonon and Takarada.
So a SoL about Mako? I'd watch it.
Fucking creepy ass bitch
Nonon is Christopher Walken
Senketsu is Yuri Lowenthal channeling the persona of Yosuke Hanamura
>Duuudde, her tits. Are my face.
Mako is voiced by whoever voiced Bobobo
Ryuuko is Stephen Blum for no good reason.
I'm not really all that interested in what's happening to Ryuuko's character. Rather I'm interested in what Ryuuko, among other characters might do to Satsuki's character.
Satsuki's character isn't interesting as a whole, but she has the potential to be mindbroken and I want to see that go down. It's pretty much the only reason I'm watching the show still at this point. I'm probably going to be disappointed and nothing will happen, though.
>not watching NXT
get a load of this guy!
Are the elite 4's really gonna have their rematch again? I'd rather REVOCS and their top dogs. We all know the elite 4 is nothing even with their new 3-star uniforms. Ryuko is as powerful as Satsuki now.
Finally some nigga gets it.
there is not any source, there was one tweet where the staff was surprissed that Takarada was so popular in the West, that´s all, in any moment have they said he was more popular than other main characters.
>This tweet is pretty much damage control to keep Ryuuko relevant
Is like you completely know what exactly is inside these people's mind
Stop doing that.
While I agree in general with your post, you can't say for certain something like that and state it as the truth.
They were amusingly just a bit confused about overseas fans fascination with Takarada. That doean't mean they are butthurt about it.
Not really. I don't think there was anything wrong with Mako wanting to have a better life for her and her family, but keep in mind she was willing to dismantle other peoples' lives for it. That's what beating the shit out of other clubs does, it demotes them in society so that the victor can advance. Not exactly what I'd call moralfag.
The show needs to do something interesting with Satsuki and Mako for me to peg it down as good.
Satsuki's going to have a downfall, but it needs to be a hardcore downfall, Madoka levels of suffering.
Something heroic/tragic needs to happen with Mako. She needs to drop the comedy act, if only in her last moments.
Just becuase Mako has been not honest all the time, that doesn´t meant she has been a liar all this time.
Ryuuko's idea, and Ryuuko was going to wreck the two stars anyways. Mako did not proactively choose to prey on the two stars.
I'm not really holding out hope anything is going to happen, this show seems like it's going to end up too happy and not have much suffering.
I actually like Satsuki, but I want to see her fucking break down, I want to see tears. I wanted it from Ryuuko too but it's obviously not happening at this point.
>Satsuki's going to have a downfall, but it needs to be a hardcore downfall, Madoka levels of suffering.
This. I love Satsuki, but she needs to experience some hardcore suffering in order to complete herself as a character, and bring her close to Ryuuko.
I wonder what will go on between her and Raygo at the bathhouse.
It doesn't fucking matter if it was Ryuko's idea, stop using this kindergartener-tier "she did it first!" logic. Mako encouraged and enabled beating the shit out of other clubs so that her family could climb their way up the social ladder.
Does the problem here lie solely within Mako? Fuck no, not by any means, the system itself is what's twisted. But she still was willing to have her luxury at the expense of other peoples' happiness.
>I wonder what will go on between her and Raygo at the bathhouse.
The usual mother and daughter bonding.
I don't think a death is necessary for KLK to have a good story, but you're right in that something BIG has to happen.
Like, Satsuki groveling on the floor curled up clutching her head shaking in a puddle of tears and snot bawling levels of fucked.
Mako double crossing Ryuuko because she's sick of her bullshit and becoming final boss tier levels of fucked.
Nui writhing in pain with a stake through the right side of her head levels of fucked.
Just. fucking something.
The thing with KLK is that the world its so well builded that even if you change the Main Character to any other it still will be interesting, like Monkey and Tsugumu, or Mako and Inumata, because Trigger made characters and their world its so interesting that the fans want to see more about it. It is really a shame that KLK its only 25 episodes long.
You see I don't know if they'll do anything because they had a chance to have Ryuuko suffer a little after Nui ripped apart Senketsu, but Senksetu was there fucking immediately to kiss Ryuuko's booboos all better and she was essentially back to her normal self right away, nothing changed. Couldn't we have seen her mopey for a bit? Some tears? Her working without Senketsu for even just a small amount of time? Nope, he's right there and Ryuuko gets all of him back in one episode.
When will my OTP happen, trigger?
I know Satsuki is going to fall, but I want her bawling like a baby. I want to be disturbed by it.
As for Mako, yeah, she needs to be serious again, or I'll need a flashback showing how she was before Ryuuko.
>Like, Satsuki groveling on the floor curled up clutching her head shaking in a puddle of tears and snot bawling levels of fucked.
A Kamui is fine too.
I'm gonna be pissed if Satsuki ISN'T consumed by Junketsu by the end of this show.
Nui is pretty honest. She's a pretty violent ass bitch, and she is pretty up-front about it
Nui is not human
Nui is a life fiber doll
The thing with KLK is that it isn't a terrible show and the episodes do a pretty decent job of pumping you up and shit, I mean episode 15 wasn't technically bad or anything but when you reflect on it and other episodes you just realize what more it could have done, or what it didn't do at all.
It keeps the status quo way way too much. I hope this changes in the last 8 episodes (I don't expect the BD extra to have a whole lot of plot significance) otherwise it's going to go down as a show that was only ok and could have done a lot better.
Satsuki = Triple H
Ragyo = Stephanie Mcmahon
Gama = Kane
Inu = Dean Ambrose
Nonon = Seth Rollins
Sana = Roman Reigns
Ryuuko = John Cena
Mako = Daniel Bryan
Aikuro = CM Punk
Tsumugu = Bad News Barrett
Nui = Vince
Prove me wrong.
I want to see Satsuki start crying for her mommy
>Gama = Kane
>Mako = Daniel Bryan
>crying for her mother as her mother is killing her
And I want to see Satsuki getting breastfed by Raygou.
Everyone on 4chan is a faggot for thinking this.
She was just talking about the relationship they each had with their clothes, Satsuki probably can't even hear junketsu talk.
Mako's already established Ryuuko's talks with Senkestu are pretty weird, it was her version of, "there she goes again."
No she'd cry for Daddy, which would be sadder because her Daddy is dead.
I'd be surprised if that happened on the show
Would you really?
Poor Satsuki will never again drink her daddies milk.
Well no one has been breast fed so far to the best of my recollection
I think this too.
I wonder who created her.
Not until it's explained what happened to the previous guy who said he would.
Don't want the bitch to go all praying mantis or black widow on me.
Guys. Calm down.
There are several different ways to translate まとも, and "honest" isn't the first one that comes to mind. Some of them would be:
- the only decent person
- the only dependable person
- the only person who has her shit together
The most common usage of it is in the sense of "someone who knows what they're doing" (as compared to others who don't), though. I took it to mean that only Ryuuko has a clear purpose. Which is all kinds of not true.
leaker here, get ready to get mindblown
Is her father really dead? I don't remember him ever being mentioned besides the flashback
Nui was fatal pulse's and Oyster's sadomasochistic love doll that eventually gained sentience and a lust for blood and dicks, but not Monkey's cuz that's shits pathetic.
Don't forget, she has that huge wardrobe of semisentient clothes. We assumed Nui made them for her, but did she?
Never. Sanageyama is already taken.
> best tits
>Ragyo callously killed him off once his "purpose," was done.
>Satsuki has been planning revenge this entire time, conquering schools in order to get closer to mom
>Next episode has bath scene between them, now is the time
It's a faaaaaake!
Dude, you can't cheat in a no holds barred fight. You can do literally anything. That's the fucking definition.
Chair, broken bottle, gun, ornamental sword on top of the bar's faux coat of arms. Whatever.
Which is more or less what I said here: >>101121845
>Accel: I'm impressed you came here.
>Accel: I need to give you a nice welcome.
>SFX: Squeeze squeeze
>SFX: Tighten tighten
I am now moist.
I still don't buy it. Ryuuko went from the most mentally unstable character in the series to "she knows exactly what she's dong" in 2 episodes
>working without Senketsu
What would she even do? It would be like a repeat her first "fight" with the mook boxing club captain.
Thats because Ryuuko was once a Pretty Cure
Ryuuko a futa?
She was doing pretty good up until her fight with Satsuki without him
She's just paying Satsuki back for last time.
This is true.
I remember when the previews of her came out and everyone claimed she was worst girl and even continued the sentiment after her debut. "She's a shitty animu toon! No, she's not a deconstruction faggot, not everything has to be a fucking deconstruction!"
But then came the grandest of ruses, and the rest is history.
I personally see it as Ryuko being the Tsukkomi to everyone elses' deranged Boke.
People sure like to blow evwrything out of proportion.
Will Satsuki ever ascend to having rainbow hair like her mom
Once she accepts sin and becomes teh life threads Hence the 7 stars on Ragyo's back
I'm fucking glad they didn't make a whole arc out of putting Senketsu back together.
>Couldn't we have seen her mopey for a bit?
We had a whole episode of that before, we didn't need two in a row.
Ryuko is a fucking dumb bitch just fucking watch.
Yeah. The last thing we would have needed would have been a Senketsu collect-a-thon. I'm glad we're getting a change of scenery too from Honnouji to the world-at-large.
Hopefully the Devas will stick alongside Satsuki as her world starts to crumble. They're good kids.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if that were the case. I thought the shape of the scars made it obvious.
Not the guy, but... How so?
>no line between Gamagoori and Mako
Who is this towa_ko? Does anyone have scans of this 'otona anime' interview with Nakashima?
I guess the keyword here is "uniquely".
Ryuuko is also upright (though still stumbling and growing) and confrontational. That is another facet of honesty.
What does being self-centered have to do with honesty? It's not like she's pretending in anything she does.
Why should she care about the other invasions? Seeing her knock a hole in Satsuki's raid by merely minding her business and taking back what's hers was some nice execution. By extension, she has seen what Satsuki's ambition has produced and doesn't like it, causing her to butt heads with her again.
Ryuuko did nothing wrong. She was referring to Satsuki's and her own relationship with their Kamui. Mako misunderstood. Another anon further backed up her misunderstanding by pointing out that Mako still thinks Senketsu is just some clothing.
I believe Nakashima is most responsible for KlK, anon. (If you ask me, he is the substance, Imaishi is the style.)
>implying we already have oodles of female MCs kicking ass and being plain fun and human. She might not be a real human, but you get what I mean.
Wouldn't have touched the show. The first key visual art is what drew me. Badass and handsome girls.
「まとも」in this case, matomo doesn't mean 'honest', but 'normal'.
Ryuuko is the only 'normal' person in the whole show. In lother words, all the rest are weirdoes. Then
means 'Ryuuko's disadvantage is too big... i'm worried..!'
Again a thread starting with a losy translation from a non japanese speaker. Does this come from Yaraon again?
>isshin made junketsu
Aww... did somebody not get wat they wanted? Yeah, I'm pretty mad too. At least DB's in Elimination Chamber
"normal" in japanese fandom usually means "having common sense", no?
>At least DB's in Elimination Chamber
>implying haitch wont bury him before that
seriously, how come the main card for the next PPV got decided the day after the last PPV?
that shit wont stick
It's a shame your correction came out this far in the thread.
I'll.bump for your post.
DB will just get buried by Bork Lazer.
"Let me wash your back, Satsuki. Just like old times!"
Hah. I just rewatched that Mako episode and her uniform isn't life fiber in that. Holy shit
>I love Satsuki, but she needs to experience some hardcore suffering in order to complete herself as a character, and bring her close to Ryuuko.
She doesn't need to be brought closer to Ryuuko, that's what /u/ would like. She just needs to be shown that her ideology can be opposed and shattered.
But how bad she fails depends on how closely her real plans align with Ragyo's.
Ragyo's COVERS is supposedly using clothes and life fibers to take over the world. Obviously Satsuki is secretly plotting against her mother but we don't know if she is against the idea of conquering the world for herself. At the very least she doesn't have a very positive opinion of Kamui as sentient beings.
Ultimately it is up to Ryuuko and Senketsu to show the Kyruins and Nudist Beach that clothes and life fibers can be something other than our leashes or enemies.
Or. Or maybe it's just how the fucking story was planned.
>This probably never happened
I honestly can't even imagine Ragyo pregnant. Satsuki's probably just some weird science baby.
Because she wasn't an unimaginable horror that strained another person's mind to perceive. She was just unsightly in her berserk form.
That sounds reasonable. I get the impression we aren't supposed to put our sole focus on Ryuuko, but rather what happens to and around her. Same goes for the other characters.
The mention of Takarada's popularity in the west was in last week's Trigger newsletter. You can search the archives or danbooru for it.
I agree something needs to shake Satsuki. I expect flashbacks of some sorts of abuse and/or neglect.
She didn't take kindly to Takarada saying she'd grown into a babe, her mother casually touches her inappropriately (caressing Junketsu or not), her father's gone, her mother apparently took away her childhood playground and now she might end up in the bath with her crazy mother.
>Like, Satsuki groveling on the floor curled up clutching her head shaking in a puddle of tears and snot bawling levels of fucked.
Just one dose of this will work for the show, even if it's a flashback. It can even be topped off with Nonon being her confidant.
>I honestly can't even imagine Ragyo pregnant. Satsuki's probably just some weird science baby.
>some weird science baby
>Just like Ryuuko might be
Holy hell, they could even be *fake* sisters.
No, she's not, she's deceptive as all fuck.
Artificial test tube babies is too weird a concept to introduce so late in the story and it has nothing to do with clothes.
I could only imagine maybe making Ryuuko one but that would go against the message of her bond to Senketsu.
>implying it didn't happen with Isshin
That could make sense actually. Saying Ryuuko is the only one with common sense.
>and it has nothing to do with clothes
I could, at least with Ryuuko. Her mother could have had a life fiber implanted in her before impregnation and...
Also, it can be quickly mentioned or set up just like the fact that life fibers are made with the will to become clothing. Why can't it work in the opposite direction (life fibers with the will to become/return to being human)?
She didn't really "cheat" the system though.
I bet these are the same people who whined about Cypha "cheating" to beat Signum in Nanoha FORCE
But making Ryuuko part-clothes doesn't contribute to the allegories of clothes controlling mankind and lessens the significance of her bond with Senketsu.
Thematically it works much better if the protagonist, Ryuuko, is a normal human who bonds with one of the inhuman enemy, Senketsu as a representative of clothes/Kamuis.
When making real-world allegories like this it is better to have a purely human protagonist.
It is much simpler to have Senketsu as the strange Kamui than to have Ryuuko as the strange human.
Anon, there's no such thing as being dishonest in a fight to the death.
That's something Musashi himself would have done to win in a sword fight.
Satsuki's rather based considering how egotistical she is, and her ambitions. Multiple times she could have simply ended Ryuuko, yet didn't. And saved her from Nui, I'll never forget that.
However, she's quite misguided in her ideals, and needs to be broken down.
I'll just say this about the whole Ryuuko/Satsuki thing.
In the earliest interviews about the show it was specifically said that:
-Not a yuri relationship
-Theirs is the kind of rivalry that only one will walk away alive from
If Satsuki is to be a victim of her own hubris how will that play out?
Next fight with Ryuuko.
She starts well as usual but quickly starts losing the duel.
The Devas want to help but she rejects them.
She manages to get thru Ryuuko's defenses and attack her but Satsuki's sword shatters against Senketsu because he won't let Ryuuko be stabbed.
Exhausted and angry Satsuki tries to get more power out of Junketsu but she finally loses the battle of wills with her Kamui.
Frankensatsuki happens/Satsuki starts to unravel.
Yes, that's what is to understand by 'normal person'. Your average people with the average sensibility.
Well the only characters who have been big liars till now are Nui and Maiko, so all the 'honesty' duscussion seemed really forced. You bet it was.
I GOTTA FIND OUT WHO KILL MY DAD
Source? Why would they say that? Isn't that giving away that Satsuki dies? Obviously Ryuuko will win.
Well it could mean that Satsuki will be beaten so severely that she has to be carried out of the battlefield either by Ryuuko or a Deva. Finally forced to fall and rely on the goodwill of others.
He said "walk away alive" though, insinuating someone will die.
So if that isn't bullshit then instead of Satsuki breaking down and learning anything Trigger is just going to kill her, more wasted opportunities.
Stan/Senketsu is just perfect, they really look alike.
It's either bullshit or a botched translation. They wouldn't reveal such a plot-critical twist so carelessly.
Since Ryuuko is the protagonist, obviously Satsuki would be the one to die. It's bullshit.
>a fight to the death
they don't want to kill la kill each other
>Since Ryuuko is the protagonist
Do remember this is written by the same guy that wrote Gurren Lagann.
Mako is Nui
And they never had this dual-protagonist bullshit in TTGL. Simon was always the protagonist.
I honestly felt like Simon and Kamina were dual-protagonists, but there were definitely points where the story was shifted onto Simon and not Kamina. Like when Simon sees Kamina smoochin' on Yoko.
I'm just saying, though. I don't think any of us saw Kamina dying. I sure as fuck didn't. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryuuko being killed is still on the table. Maybe Mako steps up and becomes the new Protag. Maybe Satsuki killing Ryuuko causes her to have a pradigm shift and she and the elite four become the new good guys.
Then again, we always get ourselves worked up for each episode, only to have our expectations not met. We were all hoping Takaradical was going to beat monkey and Satsuki, for example.
What the hell is he sending me that the wrapping is more valuable than the actual gift?
What's it wrapped in, Kill la KIll's final episode script?
I honestly doubt they're going to bother killing either Ryuuko or Satsuki unless they go through some kind of significant character development.
Will Satsuki end up falling? Definitely. Will she experience a change of heart and swap sides? Likely. Will she die? Aside from the Nobunaga parallels - all of which have been relatively superficial and referential - it's hard to say.
>We were all hoping Takaradical was going to beat monkey and Satsuki, for example.
Wait, what? I always knew he was going to lose. He's just a two-bit antagonist to make Satsuki's Battlefield Trip more interesting.
Maybe the wrapping is signed.
You are getting your own Kamui scarf!
Only it is the Junketsu "MURDERFUCKDESTROY" type of Kamui rather than the Senketsu "Hey good lookin'" type so don't bleed on him.
>only 44 votes
Just wear it on your arm so it doesn't try and strangle you.
The content is one of those phone cases and/or an artbook.
The wrapping is almost certainly gengas or script to be this goddamn valuable.
It still doesn't make sense what's in the contents that he'd keep the prizes a secret.
Smells of an ARG.
>tfw no one realises that this graph also says that nui kills aikuro
>tfw Nui only kills DADUs
IS YOUR BODY READY?
Now I can't wait for it to get here
WHAT IS THIS ANON? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Oh shit it's Doomfest
I recognize that art anywhere
Don't get too hype. That was just wild speculation based on what I could gather from that screen cap.
Well it is most likely a phone case (which would be great since I need a new one), but the stuff about the wrapping is just a complete mystery.
Why is Raygou so fluffy?
>NUDISTO BEECHU phone case
What does that mean for Mako then?
Yeah, but that whole sticky note thing is what's bothering me.
I'd buy that for a dollar or a thousand.
Reminder that Raygou could have went into the pillow business instead of designing homicidal clothes.
Fluffy Raygou dakis for everyone.
What if Satsuki never gets curbstomped and everything always goes her way even to the very end?
Imma just leave this here
Agreed. Ryuuko has pretty well finally got her shit together while the rest of them are a bunch of fucking maniacs and psychos.
That's be horrible.
And I'm a massive Satsukifag. It'd be like if Griffith beat Guts and finished his conquest unhindered.
As it stands she's a great leader, and capable of some humanity, but she needs a wake-up call ASAP.
While I don't understand all the hate she garners, I can understand why a few people would be frustrated.
if you're suggesting i'm Doomfest
I don't have anything nice to say.
Hey now, they're both pretty shitty characters.
There will be a big KLK feature on next month's Febri magazine with KLK being featured on the cover. The jacket, Mako's family and Mako's bros weird friends are coming back for the next arc.
Still, it was a convincing shoop. But yeah, Trigger wouldn't risk having that shit in there.
Aikurou's probably going to die regardless.
>Guts looks mad
IT'S OGRE MAKO DED
Aikurou is Misato, of course he will die.
>the jacket is back
I think I just shifted the Earth's orbit by about 5 cm.
Speaking of Aikurou and Nudist Bitch, Ryuuko's said to not identify with their point of view totally either.
I'm interested in seeing whatever kind of solution she comes up with.
Ryuuko hearts Senketsu; as far as Nudist Beach is concerned, Senketsu is a danger they're only bearing with to stop the Kiryuuin.
Well you have a very similar artstyle
Let me tell you two useful piece of information
One, that dude is my waifu
Two, see one
They're going to betray her once she stops being useful. She'll fight them when they try to kill Senketsu for her own good. Remember they still have the starch sniper rife round.
I wonder if Ryuuko will have to go 1 vs. 1 with Tsumugu again. Or maybe he and Aikurou will defect from NB and head off with Ryuuko due to their past with Isshin or something.
I think we've fleshed out Satsuki and Honnouji well enough. Now's the time to spend some time with the other sides - Ryuuko and NB, and Satsuki with REVOCS.
I thought that was Mako dressed up as Nonon for a second.
What the fuck?
HOLY SHIT THE PACKAGE JUST GOT HERE
Interesting, Senkentsu didn't absorb anything from it, did he? It didn't transform Mako either, it was pretty much just accessories. The power was inside you all along, Mako.
TELL US THE SECRETS, ANON!
WE HAVE TO KNOW!
Ryuuko is the single character protected by plot armor because they've already said that the final episode is about her and that the ED is foreshadowing to it. Everyone else is fair game.
The first ED?
I'm gonna dump pics, lemmie just gem them on the PC
-From this point on, the show is "Ryuuko's counterattack"
-Up until episode 15, Ryuuko was just being led around by Satsuki. She became part of her system. In episode 15, opened her eyes and is free from Satsuki.
-Now it's the time for Ryuuko to think "what do I want to do" in order to fight back against the world. She has overcome her anger and by giving the sword back she completely betrayed Satsuki's expectations. Ryuuko's true story starts from this point on.
-We don't know yet if Satsuki is able to hear Junketsu's voice, but working together with clothing as equal seems to be a trait unique to Ryuuko.
-Ryuuko is a child, just a high-school student. But now she has to grow-up. Ryuuko won't stay as the "transfer student". Ryuuko journey into the "adult world" is just starting and Satsuki won't be her only enemy any more. Starting from episode 16 we will get a WOW! sort of Ryuuko.
-The ADULT WORLD is represented by Nudist Beach and REVOCS.
-Wolverine (Ryuuko) and Spiderman (Satsuki) references were intended.
-The ED changed from red to blue because it changed from Ryuuko's arteries to Ryuuko's veins. Ryuuko was fueled by burning red (anger), now she is powered by hot blue (passion).
-What the fuck is Nui planning? It's eerie that she disappeared during episodes 14 and 15, right? What would happen if she clashed against Nudist Beach?
-Nudist Beach hasn't lost their relevance at all. Their true purpose, their relation to REVOCS and Aikurou's true motivation will open the door to the second half. (It was implied in the text that Aikurou and Tsumugu have different ideologies...)
-Gamagori is genuinely kind, he likes Mako.
-OP and ED will change, Mako will have a big role in them!
Yes, they said in the audio commentary for the first ED that it was integral to the story and Ryuuko's character and everything was going to be clear in the final episode. "The ED is the final episode!"
>-What the fuck is Nui planning? It's eerie that she disappeared during episodes 14 and 15, right? What would happen if she clashed against Nudist Beach?
>someone is about to dump new shit
>Is at work right now
Whatever,bring them up,man!
Package dumping time, I'll keep it brief.
Dat TRIGGER envelope
why are klk female fans so weird
This is what he wrapped everything in. Now I know what he meant by 'be careful'.
(It's from a Japanese newspaper, which is entertaining in itself)
Send all your fanmail to:
>Implying the rest of the fanbase isn't
how did you get it.
Trigger, I want one too...
Ho shit that's cool
And inside the small package
Tattun ran a small competition on his Twitter
>Satsuki leering at you while unsheathing Bakuzan
Now THAT is how you start your morning.
holy shit, that's great.
Trigger are such bros.
That's a piece of history you got there, son. Keep it safe.
Surprised there wasn't a phone case in there (after he asked me what phone I had) but this is so much better.
Now I can go frame that Satsuki picture.
Anyone fluent in Moon know what the article's about anyway?
>pls love muh Ryuuko-chan
Another reason to fucking despise her shitty character.
I RECOGNIZE THAT KEYRING
>implying any sensible Satsukifag doesn't like Ryuuko
>This spotlight, it was made for me!
I like the jacket.
What if it's not a spotlight, but rather she has the same powers of illumination that Satsuki and Ragyo have.
What a good eye you have
>I didn't read the thread
Now go and find the first blonde with a purple eyepatch you can and stab out her eye!
I'VE GOTTA FIND OUT WHO KILLED MY DAD
Control your rage, anon-kun. You don't have a Mako or Satsuki to protect you.
And Nui don't got no cartoon physics either.
Still, I suspect explaining to the police why you maimed a woman with a toy scissor won't be easy.
I just want to hug Ryuuko, nothing sexual.
As would I
>The ADULT WORLD
How many more hours till the next episode?
Tomorrow at 5PM UTC
Episode 15 made them both look bad.
Episode 15 made Satsuki look like she left with a fat lip and Ryuuko came across like a boss. She also grew up a bit because she realized there are more important things than revenge.
Around 25 more hours then?
>Episode 15 made them both look bad.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Nah. Asians in general are rather pragmatic in the martial arts. The whole "honor and tradition" stuff is more of a western invention.
Why is Mako in a spiral energy powered washing machine?
Also use this site http://gesopls.de/abc/?name=Kill+la+Kill&channel=
Example of a post about wrong interpretations.
>Gainax people can't do anything other than Eva.
>The boring, commercial broadcast variety that excites only a certain crowd is truly stale. The Guren Lagaan-ish design and mood, that is.
>What is meant by a product that can't be made obsolete?
>For an author to transfer his fetishes, internal ideas, and view of life to the characters whether or not it synchronizes with the viewers.
>Even though there are people that admire and empathize with Shinji and Asuka
>these characters (what were their names?) did absolutely nothing to start to move me or make my heart tremble
>They're nothing more than nihilistic robots that strip and fight on campus.
>The foundation of a production is (1) characters and (2) story.
>Becuase Eva had strong characters, even if the story is the same, and even if it's boring the fans will come back.
Thank you so much anonymous
DON'T LOOSE YOOURR WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY OOOHHHHHH
>it doesn't follow muh headcanon so it's wrong!
Sure thing, kid, sure thing.
now you're just resorting to name-calling rather than saying why you thought they both looked bad
>go on google to find a nui image
>spot this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_user_interface
you don't think
So was Ryuuko until she noticed what that turned Mako and her family into. Mako choose to keep living that lie in hopes someone would stop her but Ryuuko choose to believe in Mako's strenght instead hoping her best friend gathers the resolve to snap out of it instead.
Mako was holding back uncounciouslybut Ryuuko conciously refused to offer any sort of resistance. All because she honestly wanted to believe in the good within Mako.
Mako really is a good person but is mroe or less as vulnerable to temptation as most normal people. Ryuuko is also vulnerable to temptation ...but it takes a shitton of pressure to make her turn on her beliefs. So far Nui is the only one who has managed such a feat. Ryuuko's despair after that is due to that same honesty. She's rude to others as much as she is to herself, she felt bad for betraying her own ideals but she felt worse for betraying Senketsu.
Ryuulo lives with an honest heart be for the better or the worse.
And what exactly is this?
A review of a Rebuild movie BD?
You have no idea how jelly I am of you right now.
it's some eleven raging about KLK BD volume 1
Can Nui's half of the scissor blade senishotsu?
I thought that fiber absorption had more to do with a Kamui than it did with the scissor blade. It goes without saying that it can cut life fibers.
How is this related to her aside from the acronym?
Mako a gold-digging shit
Is the first print OST particularly rare? It didn't seem to sell out that fast.
Actually,it sold very well as far as I could observe.
Every woman in Honnouji
Most of them twice
Some of the men, too.
Oh sure, I was just wondering what the size of the run was. I got one from cdjapan a couple of weeks after it released.
>-Gamagori is genuinely kind, he likes Mako.
>She has overcome her anger and by giving the sword back she completely betrayed Satsuki's expectations.
>betrayed Satsuki's expectations.
I still think this is a mistranslation, Satsuki is smiling after Ryuuko give her the Bakuzan and saying "I know you are not going to change your order just because you got your sword back", look more like Ryuuko surpassed Satsuki expectation and she was pleased with that.
I wonder what Gama and Mako's kids would look like?
I think it was more a "look at this smug bitch" type of expression. It definitely caught her off guard though.
>fearlessly fighting against Satsuki and Monkey even when the chips are down
>all that dosh
>literally printing money of himself holding up money
He's fucking America, of course he'd be popular.
>dat silly hat
>dat voice of a goddess
She's a fucking touhou, of course she'd be popular
>I think it was more a "look at this smug bitch" type of expression. It definitely caught her off guard though.
Is everyone on /a/ autistic and therefore can't read facial expressions?
It was a smirk. She was pleased Ryuuko surpassed her expectations. Just like the Fight Club episode. She was pleasantly surprised.
jesus christ put a space after periods and commas
>voice of a goddess
I thought this is an ironic statement
Do Americans like Takarada more than non Americans?
I like him, but goddamn, his fans are on par with Nuifags.
Well,it's a good thing it took this long until the thread devolved into shipping shit.
See you in the next one, people.
>-Gamagori is genuinely kind, he likes Mako.
I agree, anon.
I haven't heard that, but I do recall one of the earliest interviews stating that both Ryuuko and Satsuk are the protagonists. http://pastebin.com/UWCFK2Bq
Nakashima has stated that he doesn't want to do TTGL all over again nor be known as that being the only thing he can do. With that said, I hope we don't get the protag shift (and space battles).
Sweeeeet. You can imagine Satsuki threatening you while you learn to speak her language.
Gimme more Guts.
Can you imagine if Guts was like Iggy in the KLK world?
How are you silly foreign people getting this stuff? Why am I not?
Tomorrow is Thursday.
>Dog playing tetris on his phone
>Gamagori so bored he's watching Dog's game
That was me speculating based on the emails sent from Tattun. It turns out it was the OST. Read the damn thread. Also nice gets.
I can't wait. Hope it will contain a poster again.
I wondered about tis as well. The others are actually fine, it's just her. Maybe she's a Nui puppet.
>Guts controlling life fibre constructs like Iggy
>Making giant fists and smacking down whatever cannon fodder is thrown at Mako
>Conjures up a giant heavy metal dragster for the girls to ride in
>Guts napping on Mako's lap during down time/plot dumps.
I know it's 100% coincidental, but Gamagori's new reagalia looks a fuckton like a Chesnaught.
Her face is just a little wider
>muh trembling heat
8th grader disease.
>complains about an author transferring his fetishes, internal ideas, and view of life to the characters whether or not it synchronizes with the viewers.
toppest of all lels
Source on that pic, please.
Is this even a correct translation? The only thing I see is >マコに気を使いすぎだよね！？ when the speaker assumes that Ira is paying attention to Mako. I don't see "like" anywhere or any explicit statement.
>complains about an author transferring his fetishes, internal ideas, and view of life to the characters whether or not it synchronizes with the viewers.
I know, that must be the most hypocritical of his post. That's basically the same damn thing that Anno did with EVA.
Has that compilation image been updated with episode 15 yet?
Does she want his dick?
Nobody wants this. He is a slut.
I thought it was pretty funny for exactly that reason. I'll see if I can find some more like that.
>There will never be a Bayonetta/DMC/Revengeance esque Kill la Kill game
Next time on Kill la Kill:
Will Satsuki build up the courage to call childline?
FIND OUT ON FRIDAY!
I wonder if he'll ever fight somebody again.
Looks like some kind of Egyptian Juggernaut
It is an Egyptian Juggernaut. With electricity.
M-MY JELLY LEVEL...
MAKO CONFIRMED FOR FINAL BOSS
WE don't want it.
but does Ryuuko?
How many hours till preview pics?
im too hyped for tomorrow
Trigger confirmed he made Junketsu months ago actually
>his glowing nipples
get's me everytime.
Also, Nudist Beach? God tier name.
Whoever translated this really needs to stop trying to translate stuff. At the rate he's going, he's going to get picked up by XSeed or Idea Factory International.
You're right, and the fact that 'honest' is a bad translation has already been pointed at.
Ryuuko is only a 'normal person (with common sense)'. Nothing to do with 'honest', certainly not in the case of a person.
I am already used to this even though it's still kinda annoying. Whenever they are giving a new information some people who can't into Japanese translate a few parts and either change the meaning of certain things or they even add things they want to be real which weren't mentioned in the text to begin with (see the Mako things a few days ago).
Then some other fans see this and spread the false information over the internet and the threads get filled with people who claim x to be true because Trigger said so and you've to wait until some moonrune fag disproves this which doesn't really happen that often.
Tiny Rei was such a cunt.
I hope not. What I do hope is we get to see him messing with her comfort levels a bit more.
For this I would blame Google Translate.
The direct translation is "By giving back the sword she took by force, Ryuuko freed herself from Satsuki. Her true story starts from now on."
It seems like she is physically attracted to him. Nothing more though.
Ryuuko may not want to kill Satsuki, but Satsuki clearly stated her intent towards Ryuuko if she continued to interfere. "Do you wish to die that much, Ryuuko!?"
Satsuki isn't really as murderous as she could be, but she's been quite frank in what she would do to someone who refuses to stand down. Fortunately, Ryuuko's strong enough to avoid getting killed by Satsuki, and will likely be able to use force to get her to listen to reason.
Ryuuko's just gotta find out who killed her dad
>Satsuki giving me that look
>Slowly unsheathes blade
Words can't express how hard I'd start running.
It doesn't actually look fake upon examination.
I hope our friend Jake comes back with a cleaner shot of this newspaper page.
Why run? Do you think you can escape?
She's a girl just punch her in the stomach
Will this do? http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1517770
Oh, hadn't seen that. Thanks anon.
That gives no insight as to expectations, and actually sounds like something Trigger would write.
>not STANDING HERE
Satsuki doesn't strike me as merciless enough to pursue a fleeing person.
The second I see that blade come out, I instantly make it clear that I've no intention of fighting.
Fuck that shit.
Oh neat, this thread is still here.
I'll scan it sometime. Japanese newspapers are HUGE though.
Who will kick the bucket in KLK?
Everyone but Gama.
well. that actually makes sense.
>Satsuki clearly stated her intent towards Ryuuko if she continued to interfere. "Do you wish to die that much, Ryuuko!?"
I to think she was refering on how reckless was Ryuuko, something that Satsuki has stated in their previous fight too.
I feel like everyone here played MGR.
