Say what you want about KLK, but I've had more fun watching this show compared to all the other anime I've watched since 2009/2010.
Is it the best thing ever? No, of course not. But it's a very enjoyable anime to watch and it is what finally revitalized my dying anime hobby.
OP the only people on /a/ who hate Kill la Shill are IRC fags.
It's an enjoyable show. This season and last season would have been fairly lacking were it not for KLK.
It's stagnated a bit, I liked when it was more episodic.
The show has a great visual base style but they haven't capitalized on it for weeks. The last two arcs have been predominately red and set all in the same locations.
It appears they are trying to go more down the road of
>Then do plot stuff
When will we get to an episode with animation?
I can't roll my eyes hard enough.
I really want something to actually happen. Seriously, the show has gone almost nowhere in 15 episodes. Ragyo has been set up as the big bad but we've seen her in all of two episodes and know nothing about her or REVOCS. Satsuki is supposed to have a grand conquering plan, however it was revealed last episode that the trip was nothing more than a ploy to flush out Nudist Beach, which allegedly has been hampering them but we're never shown how. Mako has one gimmick to her character that hasn't changed at all apart from one episode of character development. Ryuuko wanted to avenge her father and after that whole fiasco with Hui her motivations are now "I'm still mad about that whole dad murder thing but now I will fight for JUSTICE!" which is a fine motivation for most protagonists but she's just so bland, she's easily the most boring character on the show. Satsuki is an insufferable bitch but she's easily the most interesting character on the show, and she's played to be "not really evil". Who's the badguy? What are their motivations? What's the plan? Why is any of this happening? I do enjoy the show but for gods sake please introduce some coherent overarching plot.
Not really into anime at all but I found it rather entertaining and actually finished all the episodes
It's silly as hell and I can't take it seriously in the slightest, but that's what I love about it.
Kill La Kill is a perfectly fine show. It's the ludicrous amount of hype and trolling that really tarnishes it's image. And Trigger can't really do anything about either of those. ( No studio would actively try to lower the audience's expectations. )
Yes, the animation can be crude and the pacing rushed, but what can you realistically expect from a low budget anime by a young studio. ( Even if they have a veteran staff. ) Trigger should be applauded for at least being ambitious. Especially when compared with the other low budget shows of the season. Samurai Flamenco looks like it's animation crew died of starvation 4 episodes ago.
It's not the TTGL successor I was hoping for, but it's not trying to be either.
If you like One Piece and Naruto you will love Kill la Kill
Mako is just the female Luffy with Looney Tune powers and quite a portion of ecchi-mindedness.
OP here, I don't like either of those boring 300 mile long shows.
