>already killed a man
It was kill or be killed.
>doesn't give a shit
In the case above why should he?
>someone gets hurt doing his job
Not just any someone. A teammate. And it was all because of his fuck-up.
>WOE IS ME
He should feel like shit.
>>
>someone gets hurt doing his job
It was his fault, of course he's going to feel guilty. He also was thinking about his lost friends and family. He wasn't nearly as "woe is me" as he could've been, he's already fully on the horse now. It sounds like you're just whining.

Well no duh. That's how a soldier should feel. They care about their teammates and allies. And give no fucks about enemies.
Unless the enemy was someone they knew before they became a soldier, but that's a more personal thing that will have to be dealt with.
