i'm about to start evangelion /a/.
how should i start, rebuild movies or series?
You should start with google
Unit 01 is Shinji's mother.
Rei is also Shinji's mother.
Everybody turns to tang.
Fuck the rebuilds
Episodes 25 and 26 (you can just skip them if you want)
Then if you still need more watch the rebuilds for fan fiction tier "What if it went like this?"
Why would you even ask this question? Why would anyone ask a question like this? You start at the beginning, you finish at the end. What the fuck.
Start by watching End of Evangelion. Sounds weird I know, but that's the kind of 2deep4u shit Anno likes to pull. After that, watch the last two episodes of the original series.
Now people are divided on whether to watch the rebuilds or the series first after doing this, but personally I'd go with the rebuilds before moving on to the series because they give good background on the stuff that happens in the show.
You're welcome, OP.
Start with the TV series and End of Eva. The movies are part of a retelling, or "alternate universe" if you will, and they aren't even finished yet. You'd be stupid to start with them.
>eoe before tv ending
just marathoned the TV release, EoE and 1-3
i still dont know whats going on.
Disregard everything. Go with what this guy >>101082216 says.
Start with the 17th episode of the original series. Stop at 24th.
After that you watch the first and the third rebuild film and read Re-Take.
And lastly, you watch The End of Evangelion. It's called that for a reason.
Well I just wanted an ending and didn't care for the hour of shinji on a bad acid trip.
This, don't go with what the trolls are saying
1-26 then EoE. Don't bother with Rebuilds for a while.
>>101082216 is another valid way.
>how should i start?
Don't, go watch RahXephon instead.
Start with the ReDux.
Fucked up, meant ReDeath.
READ THE MANGA, ANIMEFAGS!
Chronologically, by release date.
Make sure the anime has the director's cut versions of the eps.
Once you're done, watch End of Evangelion.
Then watch the rebuilds, if you want.
watch rebuild, it's better, then watch EoE
the TV series is shit
i was also about to start with chronological order and one of my friends suggested something like this
so this is why im asking
but thanks /a/, i'll stick with production order and will try to understand what is going on in the head of depressed Anno
Series --> EoE --> Rebuild movies
Also, Assuka dies :DDDDDDDDDDD
Now fuck off.
Start with Death and Rebirth, then watch the TV series backwards from episode 24 until you get to episode 12. Then watch 1, 4, 5, 9, 6, 2, 10, 3, 11, 7, and finally 8. Episodes 25 and 26 don't matter. After you finish the TV series, watch The End of Evangelion in reverse.
1 - Original series (there are Director´s Cut versions of eps 21-24), also, don´t be a faggot skipping eps 25 & 26, they may use LOTS of stock footage and they avoid the main plot but they tell you a lot of relevant shit for the series´main message
2 - Death (True) and End of Evangelion together
If you want more:
3 - Other Anno shit like Gunbuster, Nadia or Kare Kano
4 - Rebuilds
5 - Sadamoto manga
Chronological order, faggot.
>tfw you messed up the order and watched 2 before 3
NGE TV 1-26
I wouldn't bother with Rebuilds (at least atm, maybe when the last comes out) unless you just want more Evangelion, regardless of what Anno is trowing at you.
Your friend is a dumbass, enjoy Series - movies then rebuild last the proper way.
What the fuck is this?
Is OP trolling or did Anno finally announce a time skip series?
Series-EOE-Rebuild, your friend is either really fuckin dumb/A really huge dick. Not to mention There's a ton of evidence to suggest that the rebuilds are actually a sequel to EOE.

The duchebag is also Shinji's mother.
