Is this anime for people who don't like anime?
>MY anime is the TRUE form of anime. Any other kind of anime is WRONG and people shouldn't like it because I don't think they should.
How is this not exactly what /v/ does with manime.
it's a space western. as such the show specifically is pretty western in theme and therefore can be enjoyed by most people, even those who don't like other titles.
and you're trying to justify /v/ behaviour, perhaps you should flee back to your den of depravity and nonsense. >>>/v/
I've never watched this.
Depends on what you mean by anime. If by anime do you mean Japanese animation? In which case the answer is no. If you mean anime as defined by the stale regurgitated tropes that are vomited out at us on a yearly basis to slate the minds and crotches of fat sweaty autists everywhere, than the answer is yes.
>it's a space western. as such the show specifically is pretty western in theme and therefore can be enjoyed by most people, even those who don't like other titles.
This is some of the most retarded shit I have ever heard. It's a Japanese animated show made for Japanese audiences. There are plenty of other shows like Cowboy Bebop, even being produced today. Anime is not confined to a single audience. Shows like Psycho-Pass are just as legitimately "anime" as Hidamari Sketch.
What a fucking joke. You make this big show of being better than /v/ but you're no better than the average /v/ poster. You regurgitate the same tired shit you've picked up here without understanding what it means or why you're saying it. It's disgusting. People like you are the cancer that killed /a/, which, I can assure you, is very much dead.
The creators are huge westaboos, though.
Anyway, it's got great production values, it's well-written, and the characters are grownups for once. It's great.
Not him, but why are you so fucking mad?
It's a Japanese show but it also has wide appeal which includes westerners who normally wouldn't watch anime. Why do you think it got so popular on Toonami and is one of the most famous anime in the west?
I'm not mad that it got so popular, I'm mad some dipshit thinks it's not anime because it has mass appeal. Even the most xenophobic of Otaku aren't that retarded. And no one called him out on it. That's what /a/ has become.
What the hell. There's no post in this entire thread stating that.
This. It's one of the best anime released, a pleasure to watch. It just happens not to feature overused tropes and otaku-pandering high-school girls, so it may get hate from said sweaty-otaku-faggots that spill "K-ON! is a masterpiece" and such nonsensical things.
Yeah, it is an entry-level series to anime
But I love it
Bebop is a very westernized anime some people that watch it hate the Ecchi, Harem, and Moe centric anime that come out now a days.
Anime is anime, but has target groups just like movies categories, no I wouldn't recommend Ninja Scroll to the Cardcaptor crowd, etc.
Also Cowboy Bebop is gateway anime, real heavy on immersing Western themes, that's why a lot of 90's anime work so well.
It's anime for people that like overly recommended anime.
>anime for people who don't like anime
>i'm mad because some dipshit thinks it's not anime
I watched that for the first time not too long ago. Enjoyed it but really didn't thought it was amazing, it's not shit it's decent but so far from what I expected.
Plot discontinuity killed it for me. But then again, plot discontinuity was pretty much necessary because there was barely any to begin with. Still, 26 episodes was too much for too little to say in the end, that was my impression of it.
you have serious problems
I watched the movie on my local TV channel one day. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I wasn't big on anime back then.
So yeah. Cowboy Bebop is basically a gateway anime.
It's anime for people
Ninja Resurrection > Ninja Scroll
>Everything that isn't slice of life moe garbage isn't anime
>Is this anime for people who don't like anime
And for girls.
It is an anime
speaking of "Ecchi, Harem, and Moe" shit, why is there so much of it?
Are you clinically retarded?
