We need to have a Gurren Lagann thread.
no, we dont.
Rossiu was right
Viral watch out, I think there is a robot behind you charging its beam cannon. It's dangerous!
A poor man's Kill la Kill
Stay classy, /a/
Stop making shit threads.
are we done?
Why do people like this forced fun shit?
Careful guys, we can't like fun, people might think we're human.
Enjoy the balls to the wall manliness that is gurren lagann. It manages to evoke some real emotional moments and its everything an anime should be
>Enjoy the balls to the wall manliness that is gurren lagann
typical TTGL babby
>It manages to evoke some real emotional moments
haha holy shit are you serious
this is a troll post right?
>tripfag trying to bait
What else is new
Of course I'm serious?
Do you have anything to back up ridiculing the fact that i was emotionally moved by parts of Gurren Lagann?
pro tip: being condescending doesn't count.
OP, take this thread to /m/. It will be in better hands there.
Im not "baiting" you autismal. TTGL is shit, sorry. If I like something I say I like it and if I don't, I say how I feel about it. Cry more. It was shit
be less of a homosexual
So in order words you have nothing?
just that if you found TTGL "emotionally moving" then youre the biggest manchild imaginable
WHY?! why is it so bad? you're not reasoning you're just saying it and assuming I take your word as correct
If you concern yourself about being a manchild, you can stop watching anime.
Only manchildren concern themselves with what's manchild-like.
nice arguments m8
so what does the only "adult" here watch thats got him posting in /a/ but still keeps himself from being a "manchild" which is apparently the majority of /a/ population?
I was wondering this for a while:
What if Simon died and Kamina lived?
Why didn't Simon end up banging Yoko?
What are you talking about? It was emotionally endearing, powerful, and makes Getter Robo and Mazinger shit.
yoko was a trap
That's an interesting prospect. I don't think that's what happened though :/
Simon and Yoko aren't really a thing, it would've been pretty cheap tbh
Kamina has no spiral power to speak of. He probably wouldn't even have been able to impregnate Yoko.
Evangelion was better.
i dont think kamina could cope with seeing his friends die, simone was jsut derp enough to get over kamina
I just rewatched this a week ago. The alternate universes scene made me cry.
It's funny because if Simon hadn't flashbacked to Kamina and Yoko making out during the Dai-Gunzan fight then Kamina probably wouldn't have died.
While Simon and Yoko wasn't impossible it certainly came very, very close.
what if simone was replaced with shinji, would they have still drilled to the heavens?
Literally anime for retarded people who enjoy yelling and seeing other people yell.
I like this guy.
viral's alternate universe scene unexpectedly got me
neither did any of the other member of team dai gurren to begin with, as the series went on everyone got stronger, if kamina had lived he most likely would have had uber, hell his "no spiral power" ass invented the giga drill breaker, possibly the strongest attack simon has
Simon was the power source for the entire team.
No Simon, no victory.
One of my favorites, Good show for people who don't want to watch "moe' girls dry hump each other.
>It is dumb that's why it's fun
Holy shit this is the stupidest thing I've ever read.
"Hey this anime is making me have fun without my permission, I don't want to but I am."
Honestly though, I'm laughing at you and you're a fucking retard
Awesome fucking show finished it last week good choice OP
And you call me a newfag
"you pulled is from the front while simon pushed us front behind" (cant remember the exact quote)
if kamina had lived instead of simon i think he would have atleast beaten lordGenome, whether or not he beats the anti spiral depends on how much he grows as a character, we know from his dad's death that he can get over loss quickly, and with simons death maybe in his rage his spiral power would have awoken, kinda like how simon went uber after kamina died

I finally got convinced to watch it through. Just finished it minutes ago after an all night binge. That ending....just god damnit. I'm mad, but agree with it, which just makes me more mad.
Rage is not a cure for erectile dysfunction.
I can't believe this show still makes people mad after all these years.
Shinji and Simon are actually pretty similar people, it's just the circumstances and people surrounding them who made them who they were.
Shinji's parent figures were an alcoholic with a problem with relationships and a estranged dad who rarely praises Shinji no matter how much he wants and tries to make his dad proud. He's never FORCED to get in the robot, but he does anyway because they emotionally manipulate him into making him choose to do it.
Simon also is parentless, but he's got a ridiculously confident, motivational, caring role model to guide him. Kamina pushes Simon to pilot Lagann, but by pumping him up and inspiring confidence rather than leaving him with no choice but to do it. Simon also wants to make him proud and receive praise, but he actually gets the positive reinforcement he needs, unlike Shinji.
They're both kinda pussies at the start, but Simon gets stronger through Kamina while Shinji just gets more and more depressed the more his dad forces him to save the world.
rip kittan :(
Anyways, finally got around to watching the movie versions of the series, edited fight scenes were 10/10 breddy gud :DDD but I felt like the chronological order of some of the events were a bit butchered.
