>>
Figure it out yourself. No one cares what you watch.
>>

>>

>>

sage for lazy/indecisive faggot
>>
If you want pointless BAAAAWING every single episode and if you like 5 episodes in a row where NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENS.
>>
MINDFUCK!
>>
Watch Kaiji now.
>>
You should watch it, but wait until all of it is fully subbed. Not much left anyway.

>>10107204
lol yes let us miss the point of the show
>>
>>10107233
It's like DBZ but with crying and stupid narration instead of going super saiyan
>>
>>10107284
It's not about plot.
>>
>>10107204
0/10

OP, you got your answer: YES. So leave and proceed to watch.

Yes. But be prepared to hate it for quite a while. E-Card made it all worth watching.
>>
>>10107106
it's epic from very early on and just keeps delivering

What's the matter? Too CLOSE to home for you?
>>
If you watch it for the right reason, it is good all the way from the near beginning. Remember that the whole thing is basically a character study/psychology/despair anime, not a game animu (not comparable to Hikau no Go etc).
>>
>>10107284
But the narrator is fucking awesome.
>>
I thought the basketball metaphor in the first episode was awesome.
>>
I enjoyed Kaiji fuck you to all the haters.
>>
>>10107681
True, but it's just old japanese guy #263

E-card really was just OK.
I wouldn't say it really made the anime worth watching. Not to say rock paper scissors and walking over beams was better.

Kaiji>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Haruhi>>>Lucky Star
>>
I downloaded the first episode a day after Christmas to see what all the fucking ANNNNDOOOOOOOOOOUUUU fuss was about. My expectations were high, I didn't think I'd really enjoy it. Whenever my expectations are high, I'm always setting myself up for disappointment.

Before '08 came around, I had watched every episode available and started Akagi. Words fail to capture how awesome this shit is.

Yes, I think you should watch it.
>>
>>10107736
Shouting animu.
>>
No it is pretty much all psychological animu
>>
Akagi/Kaiji is an aquired taste. I would say give it an episode, and if the world (or whatever) grabs you, watch more as it just gets better from there. Genre is mainly drama/psychological thriller.

/a/ sucks around this time, by the way.
>>
I'd kaiji mullet

Not OP but it's also on my longass list of stuff to watch.
Somewhere near the top though.
Either this or Mononoke probably. Not that they're similar. I don't care what genre it is as long as it's a good quality series, and those are fucking rare these days.
Should I watch Kaiji first or Akaji? Does it matter? Are they both extremely awesome?
>>
Kaiji and Akagi are some of my favorite anime. Better then all these shounenfags.
>>
>>10107899
Akagi, because it is fully subbed.
You should watch both, as they have some interesting paralells.

Agreed, DO WATCH Mononoke, OP.
>>
>>10107899

I don't think it matters. Admittedly, I only watched Kaiji because LOL SAME MANGAKA. I love them both.
>>
>>10107899

Watch Akagi first. It's finished.
>>
>>10107899
Akagi and Kaiji are both on my top 14.
Mononoke is on my top 20.

You've got some good stuff queued up. Watch the completed series first, though. Then follow Kaiji with us and complain about subs.

You don't even realize episode 22 came out, do you?
>>
>>10107950
But I'm slow, I don't marathon. By the time I finish both series it probably will be all subbed.
If they all are incredibly awesome, at best I'll watch 4 episodes a day.
>>
>>10108018
Mononoke is only 12 episodes. It works in arcs: 2-3 episodes an arc. I didn't marathon it either.

You can't watch 2 series in one day? Like one arc of Mononoke, a few eps of Akagi, and one ep of Kaiji?

Op here I will watch Mononoke then.
>>
>>10108105
Hell no, one series at a time. Actually I haven't watched any new anime in like 2 years, only read new manga and keeping up with older series of anime and manga.
So I've got a lot of catching up to do.
