Every single female anime character fits in this table.
This is fact.
Rika fits in all of them.
...I don't know if that's supposed to happen or not.
I... I don't actually understand that table so I guess I can only believe you.
Table basically only says:
-Characters you want to protect or be protected by
-Characters you want to fuck
-Characters that are fucking cute
-Characters that are lesbians
Top right is Physically Sexual
Top left is Freudian Maternal
Bottom right is Cute/Moe
Bottom left is Creepy/Stalky
I like top left. Fuck everything else.
Bottom right is more in the line of "believable", "not strong, not weak, just there", "an everyday girl"
I'd say that she especially fits the top right one.
i can't make heads or tails of that retarded shit.
Normal girl would actually be moderately bottom left, if the chart is to be believed. see: "alignment with a (probably fictional) status quo"
Bottom left: Everyone in Maria-Sama
Bottom right: Everyone in Lucky Star but Kagami, who is in the left side
Top right: Sex-Symbols, like Haruhi, Asuka or Yoko.
/r/ version without pictures covering up some of the text
You're right, I got it wrong. It's bottom left.
Which is why OP is wrong. Makoto would be bottom left.
So, for instance, is Yuno top-left or bottom-right?
I think Konata belongs precisely at (0,0) on that graph.
Damn, that's hard.
Top right. You want to be violated by her.
Yuko would be bottom right, mostly
A better challenger would be Komori, who is supposed to be bottom left (empathy: being a hiki), top right (zomg hawt, don't need to elaborate) and top left (comforting, the idea of being under a blanket in a room shut out from the world is almost Freudian in it's comfort) at once.
Sweet dreams are made of these?
Top-left would mean that there was male presence which there isn't in Hidamari. Thus she's somewhere on the bottom of the chart and I suppose she's not exactly on the bottom-right corner, but somewhere between that corner and the line that separates Otome-kei and Denpa-kei.
This is pretty good chart once you figure it out. Here's a clean version.
Just what I was looking for.
Where would Youko be?
Between Junai and Otome.
>not exactly on the bottom-right corner, but somewhere between that corner and the line
So, under "Heroine's Virtue Challenged"? When was Yuno's virtue challenged?
Going by the two axes (male presence and virtue), Hidamari Sketch ends up in the Yuri Corner. Am I reading this wrong?
where do capable, asexual, asskicking women go?
No, no, no. When you go down the X-Axis the heroins virtue becomes irrelevant.
I don't know about Komori being hikki. It's an obvious part of her moe, but I don't think it has that much to do with her personality. She's just the kinda character you want to protect but the kind that can comfort you as well. Then again, she's quite hot as well.
Mayby Komori'd be somewhere on the vertical axis sligthly abowe the horizontal or mayby a little bit left from the vertical axis. There were lots of yuri overtones in scenes feature Komori and Chie in the first season, but haven't seen any ZSZS, but I've only seen first 4 episodes.
0.5 left on virtue, 1.0 up on male?
(Note the wording "if she is stronger".)
What about males?
Pic related: top left + top right.
Using this chart, Viral would be located on the left side, probably on or below horizontal axis.
So at the bottom the horizontal axis doesn't matter and their position is completely subjective? That's retarded.
Women are disgusting anyway. Little boys dressed in skirts and such are hot, though.
So Lesbians have no virtues?
It's not like that either. For example characters from animes like Ichigo Mashimaro or Hidamari Sketch would be on the bottom-right corner 'cause there is no male presence and their virtue is irrelevant. Characters from anime with yuri (just overtones or actual girl love) would belong to the bottom left corner.
Think it like this: Left side means the is pure love towards the character and the right side means that the love is either not pure (top-right) or there is no love, as in romantic love, at all (bottom-right).
Did that explanation help at all?
Yes thank you.
Nope, being on the left side means that moekkos virtue is protected, thus being in the yuri corner doesn't affect your virtue since it's pure love between two females. "Inpure love" between females would be located on the bottom of the vertical axis or right from it.
It might also help what the creator of the chart was thinking when he made it: http://heiseidemocracy.com/2005/12/07/the-moe-image/
Every single anime character fits in this table.
This is fact.
worst graphic ever
Schrödinger from Hellsing?
schroedinger fits on all 3
is the little circle in the middle there to account for schroedinger?
SHOULD BE "MECHANICAL"
But Schrodinger isn't a robot.
At least, not yet.
Dead and Undead should be merged into a single block. The free block should be "Actually a guy".
Where do gods or nature spirits go on that chart?
they're alive aren't they?
replace undead with supernatural
so, we agreed now?
Looks accurate to me.
i see no yandere.
And you don't see tsundere, dojikko, meganekko or such character types either. However these can be located, but most of them can have multiple locations and thus it'd be pointless to write tsundere all over the chart.
Let us assume we're talking the aggressive and lethal type of yandere. First of all we'd consider what kind her dere is, which should be easy to locate on the table. Depending on how different her yandere-part is it could change the moekkos location a lot. I'm not very familiar with yanderes myself, but I suppose most of them belong to the right side of the upper-left corner (see where Revy is in the OP) or lower-left corner if we're talking about a yuri show.
Yandere is relatively difficult type of moe compare to others. I think it should be thought as the reverse of the usual moe situation where the girl is the one being protected. This would also place yanderes in upper-left corner since the girl can also be stronger than the male. The more forceful she is towards the male, the more righter she is located. For example forcing someone to pay attention to her would still stay on the left side as it could be considered as her cry for love and care, but forcing someone to love her against their will would be on the right side, no longer pure love.
Isn't moe debate just wonderful?
She doesn't fit in the chart. It's a MOE chart after all.
