Angel Beats thread go
Angel Beats was shit, TK and the bullying Tenshi episode aren't enough to lift it out of the cesspit.
angelbeats was bad. why the fuck do people glorify this, it was actually awful. TK had good pronunciation at least
angelbeats was bad. why do people think this was sad at all, it was nowhere near the "bawling" factor that they mention. TK had good pronunciation at least
I liked Angel Beats, it was original.
Angel Beats was okay, but the plotholes and pacing towards the end holy shit.
Only finished this a while ago, so let's talk about the ending.
Does anyone care if Kanade had Otonashi's heart? The anime had great characters and camaraderie and had no need for that last minute revelation.
>you weren't at the last live
Remake with 26 episodes when?
More like Angel Bullies am I right?
AB was a good show with a nice premise and characters, but it left much to be desired. It was still worth watching though.
It really needed to be 26 episodes. It ended up being way too rushed and having too little focus for most of the cast.
It also felt like they weren't content to ever just let things sit for a bit; as soon as one arc got resolved it just immediately jumped right into the next one with a new antagonist. And it really didn't need all of that to begin with. The whole last arc with the Creator or whatever their name was felt really shoehorned.
I loved it and think it could have been one of my all-time favourites, but it was WAY too short. It was originally supposed to be 26 episodes, but then the producers cut it down to 13 and completely ruined everything.
Kanade was the good one. Yurippe was the bitchy one.
The early announcements said Spring 2014, now they just say 2014.
Yurippe lived a hard life.
Cut her some slack.
Same with that guy with hypnosis powers. I was so excited for that arc. Kanade was looking more and more like a misunderstood good guy, but then this truly evil bastard comes in and makes their lives a living (and dying, repeatedly) Hell. I thought the show had gotten into its real storyline with its real villain and real drama.
Then the new Big Bad who murdered everyone in the group ten or fifteen times became comic relief not half an episode later.
Have you seen more than 10 shows?
Had the best premise ever. Super surreal, I thought about it every day. Execution was poor
Is there anything to discuss? The show was small, is there something new coming up?
I actually looked the ending, but as a general consensus, I believe it was rushed mid way and the entire heart thing just felt like it didn't make sense if they are all in purgatory.
I used anime logic to tell myself that Tenshi was so grateful that she wondered there somehow to say her thank you
Even though I recognise that Angel Beats really wasn't that great I still enjoy it as a guilty pleasure.
If you can't into moon then it's going to be quicker to learn than wait for the TL of all 6 releases
I know, if this ain't worth learning for, I don't know what is.
>Haruhi goes to heaven: The animation
get some taste, faggots
Can't wait for the VN. Goddamn, it's going to be great.
>dissenting opinion is samefagging
Never, because they're releasing a VN that will provide proper characterization and tell the full story that the anime was too rushed to do. Asking Key to write a story that could fit into 13 episodes was a really poor choice.
Adaptation of said VN into a full season anime when?
TK was voiced by an American.
In all likelihood, never. Play the VN when it gets translated, or learn moon. Key is pulling out the big guns for this, so it should be extremely good.
>eroge for all ages
I heard it's going to take just 10 years for the translation, I guess learning moon in that time could prove to be useful in the future.
Which character are you looking forward to most in the VN? I'm waiting for Hisako. And the rhythm twins, too.
I liked it better when it was being a comedy than when it was being serious.
I'm sure atleast a pastebin or youtube playthrough or however they do it will go up if you're desperate. It's a Key game after all.
It depends on how quickly the installments are released. It's a very popular franchise so translation should be relatively quick (knock on wood).
Also, don't read Key novels expecting H-scenes. They're not very good at writing them and the emotional payoff tends to be more satisfying anyways.
Does anyone know where to get raws for the Heaven's Door manga? The chink scans stopped at Chapter 38, and the Takamatsu Arc has already started.
The only decent character in the anime was gone within the first couple of episodes.
Iwasawa was the only character even close to decent. And I hate the TKfags who spout the stupid "get chance and luck" line without even knowing where that's fun.
AB was beyond abysmal and showcased just how talentless maeda really is.
Teaser for Heaven's Door Chapter 46.
Someone please put /pol/ on this pic.
Although rushed, I must give Angel Beats! the credit it deserves for making such a compelling story in such a little amount of time. Also, the opening is up there.
