What does /a/ think about /tv/s taste in anime?
>no shake it up anime
Tested and true.
Casual as fuck.
/tv/ are plebs.
Entry level as fuck.
I bet /a/ has pleb taste in regular film as well
Looks good for an essentials chart
Everything else is fine.
Good. Missing a lot, but a good starting point before moving on.
I can't speak for the rest of /a/ but my taste in film is medium-hipster.
Mostly black and white and foreign, but not so hipster as to be only surrealist auteur shorts.
It's the best anime movie.
The only correct answer.
Except Summer Wars, that sucks.
>no Do You Remember Love?
>no Inaka Isha
>no Beautiful Dreamer
>no La Maison en Petits Cubes
>Watching EoE without having watched NGE
The chart is just for movies
In recommending EoE there's a subliminal recommendation of the series as well.
It's a "Film" list, of course it won't list the show.
It's almost wholly movies is what I think. You can't say you watch anime when it's all fucking ghibli and shinkai crap you're after.
This is also happening right now:
>/tv/'s Guide to Anime Films
Who would've thought
Just kill me now.
I hated earthsea. If it wasn't ghibli no one would fucking care about it
No shit, it says on the top "/tv/'s Guide to Anime Films".
And if Dead Leaves is on there, then >>101025308, Cat Soup, Mind Game and Eve no Jikan should be added.
Mind Game is on there
>no Hotarubi no Mori e
>no Time of Eve
>no Break Blade
>no You are Umasou
>no Barefoot Gen
>no Saint Young Men
>no Piano no Mori
>no Arashi no Yoru ni
>no Letter to Momo
>no Princess and the Pilot
>no Towa no Quon
>no Mardock Scramble
>no Brave Story
>no Welcome to the Space Show
/tv/ forever pleb
Yeah, I kinda missed that and realized the Cowboy Bebop there was the movie, so all movies not mostly.
>Implying that ain't going to production hell
I'll take overrated shit for 400, Alex
This. They just fucking cut and pasted a list of every Ghibli movie without caring that not all of them are actually good.
Isn't that list basically just slap every Ghibli movies on it? I don't think they actually put any effort on that.
>End of Evangelion
>List of reccomended films
>Reccomending EoE without watching the series
Like /a/, then?
>no Genius Party
>no Patema Inverted
>no Night on the Galactic Railroad
>no Iblard Jikan
>no Sky Crawlers
>no King of Thorn
>no Cat Soup
>no Nerawareta Gakuen
>no Blood: The Last Vampire
>no Pokemon: The First Movie
Do you enjoy being plebs, /tv/?
If you think /a/ in general has entry level taste you're mistaken
Are you kidding?
A lot of those films do not appeal to persons outside of the anime-watching community.
They're better than Ponyo.
The list was fine until Summer Wars. The rest is actually pretty solid.
There's a tonne of stuff they could add, but honestly it's not a bad list at all.
>Princess and the Pilot
>A lot of those films do not appeal to plebs.
You are correct.
/tv/ are plebs when it comes to actual film too, so I'm not surprised.
They have great taste in waifus, though
K-ON! movie was enjoyable fun. I'd go to theatres and watch it. Pokemon was actually good too, but that's probably nostalgia.
Probably, but I personally don't claim to have good taste in movies. I'd rather not start to hate popular movies and tv shows like I have with video games and animu. Ignorance is bliss etc
So just like /tv/?
I don't even watch movies.
Nigga you serious? And people here shitting on Summer Wars...
>Watching anything other than anime
>Restricting yourself to one artform
It's almost as sad as people only playing videogames
>no 009: Re Cyborg
>no Legend of the Millennium Dragon
>no Ocean Waves
>no The Boy Who Saw the Wind
>no Little Witch Academia
>no Guskou Budori
>no Tsumiki no Ie
>no Legend of the Galactic Heroes
>no Dog of Flanders
>no Library Wars
>no Tale of Princess Kaguya
>no Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
>no Ojii-san no Lamp
>no Professor Layton
>no Oblivion Island
>no Kowarekake no Orgel
>no Death Billiards
>no Digimon: Our War Game
>no One Piece Strong World
>no My Neighbours the Yamadas
>no Captain Harlock
>no Mai Mai Shinko
>no Wonderful Days
>no Princess Arete
>no Kumo no You ni
Is it really this possible to be so pleb?
You put Summer Wars on the list but not the Digimon movie it was based on?
>Sword of Strangers
Wasted my time watching that. There's people who actually like this turd?
>implying I restrict myself
Anime, manga and literature. I just never had any interest in movies.
>based on Digimon
Fuck you nigger, that movie had an amazing soundtrack and great choreography.
>no Patlabor 2
Just a coincidence, goy.
>samefagging this blatantly
You know what this tells me? It tells me that whatever retard made this chart took a list of Ghibli films and just threw them in without knowing a thing about them. The fact Ponyo and Arrietty are next to it pretty much confirms it. And if you're going to group them up, at least put Nausicaa with them. Hell, why not throw in Lupin too because clearly casuals only know it exists because it's Miyazaki, and everyone knows Miyazaki=Ghibli.
Then we have all the Kon and Hosoda films lined up neat and nice because fuck it, people know them so they must be good. It's pretty funny that they didn't put some of Hoso's better movies on there because a One Piece or Digimon movie couldn't possibly be good right? And the "but you have to watch the show first" excuse doesn't really work all that well since the Cowboy Bebop movie is on there.
As for the rest, it looks like they're just there to fill up the chart as I can't really find any rhyme or reason to them aside from the fact they're generic rec chart material.
2/10 needs some serious improvment
>Hell, why not throw in Lupin too
>that fucking samefagging
I was referring to grouping up the Ghiblis.
Nice try, jew, but I can use paint too.
Is this some sort of joke?
Needs less Miyazaki..
His movies are extremely overrated.
But there is some good taste on here, too.
Although,Bebop movie and EoE are supposed to be watched after you watch the series.
just report and move on
charts are almost always shitposting and usually have some faggot working the thread just as hard as possible
>Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
