Just started on Bakemonogatari. Will I be missing out on a lot if I don't pause and read the stuff or can I just watch it at normal speed.
Yes, get that space bar ready.
Jesus christ, I never asked for this. The prologue was moving so quickly.
it's was supposed to be a movie this year....right?
No, you're not supposed to read it.
You don't have to read it.
you're supposed to be a fan of the LN's already before you saw the animu
I guess I won't read it then.
Just skim it and go back when you see ass or chest shots.
The sequence of images in the prologue are more important than the regular cards (most of the time they are just cards of what the character is actually saying so they are not really important in the first place). The only important cards are the ones after the OP.
What do you mean by regular cards?
How can someone be so moronic as to ask this question? And yet, I've seen this thread made many times.
The ones that appear throughout each episode as opposed to the start.
I never paused to read them. Probably missed some cryptic jokes like that 'red' joke in Nekomonogatari. How many threads did we have pondering what the fuck it meant?
A lot of the time they're just character's inner thoughts. What's annoying is sometimes they're completely unneeded, and other times they actually hint at important plot points. I especially noticed some really important flashcards from Kaiki's arc in Monogatari Second Season that a lot of people may have messed.
The "red" thing was just the "black" screen but for violent scenes, right?
Yeah, this is why I just read them all. It does take longer to watch, but overall I find them interesting.
>The "red" thing was just the "black" screen but for violent scenes, right?
Not "violent" necessarily, but perhaps "emotional".
I can hear it.
I hated how they removed it for Nise.
Wow are you a retarded? English isn't my native language and I don't had trouble reading the cards or at least get the meaning
Gah, what is this again? My memory is failing me.
The OST for the post-OP cards in Bake.
Also, during Kaiki's arc, the colour of the flashcards corresponded to the hair colour of the person he was referring to.
Are you retarded or living in a parallel universe where anime is made in english?
Kaiki dies. Enjoy.
I live in a parallel universe where fangroups sub my chinese cartoons, pretty crazy I know...
Yes it's shaft's way of saying buy our BDs.
1. Bind the frame skip function on your video player to a convenient key
2. Hold this key down to play the video continuously.
3. Release it and slowly tap to watch frame by frame whenever you see text flash up. If your reaction times are good enough then you can catch the words just in time to read them.
Enjoy watching anon. I averaged about 45 minutes per episode doing this. If your finger gets tired, just switch it out for another.
UTW's Nise when.
You can watch one girl's "arc" and then skip the rest of the show, as it is all the same. And don't even bother with Nise, it's even more anticlimactic than Bake. Can't judge anything beyond that, as I haven't watched it.
Yeah OP, skip the characters' introductions and their burden.
