/a/ used to be a lot more fun in 2006-2007.
This is the last time I will ever come here.
Perhaps I have grown out of anime.
Every new anime I have seen has been garbage, prove me wrong.
>prove me wrong
nah, just go already
There is nothing more to say.
I'm being honest, not trying to be edgy.
I don't give a fuck about oldfag newfag shit, I'm just reminiscing in old times.
I just realized this is a pathetic attempt to keep me here, it worked for a minute. bye.
Anime has not been getting that much worse, you've just grown out of it. Let's just hope that the thing you grow into will be something fun and enjoyable.
Good bye, it's okay... I'll manage to live my life in /a/ without you OP
Please don't look back
See you tomorrow.
You don't know what edgy means, and your thread is an eyesore.
Yes, now leave.
>you've just grown out of it
This is a terrible argument. Anime is a medium, it isn't some singular entity that could change or stay the same.
Maybe Japan isn't producing any shows that the OP likes. We all have experienced dry seasons where we dropped pretty much everything.
The truth is that OP is just a faggot who wants to be catered to, both by Japan and by /a/. Fuck him.
well you're clearly not looking hard enough for good shows.
what, back when there was a decent show maybe, what, once, every 2 or so years? no thanks.
These days, we have so much to choose from that people end up concentrating on the shitty shows because they give us more to argue about.
So stop complaining and look harder.
Or just finish your backlog and don't come back.
These are the only half decent posts in this thread.
OP is a faggot.
>Hasn't watched Build Fighters
/a/ dies every fucking year according to you faggots.
Maybe this time it's really happening though,
whats the point of this thread
if you don't want to watch anime then don't
if you want recommendations then look at a chart
None of the people who browse this place are the same anymore, everyone acts all different now and I don't like it.
I hardly post here now, I'm kind of with OP.
lurking is my addiction
>Whats the point of this thread
>posts pointless comment
That would be a perfect gif + filename if it wasn't taken straight from tumblr.
I mean, 247 kB
I've been here since 2004, and to be frank the level of discussion was never too high. I actually also think this place was the most fun back in 2006-2007, but I wold be hard pressed to say anime was better.
>Even more pointless response.
And now.. the most pointless comment award goes to... ME!
There proved you wrong OP. Now fuck off.
Jesus OP. That's a clear blog.
You don't enjoy anime anymore?
Then go the fuck back to whatever does...F-fuck!
Assuming you're not a nostalgiafag. What >>101013461 said.
There more anime available now than ever before. Except it's your responsibility to sift through all the crap to find stuff you like. Stop waiting to be spoonfed and do your own research before making ignorant comments like: "more fun in 2006-2007."
>Implying we give a shit about whether you stay or not.
Take your shitty rec thread with you.
OP made a shitty blog/recommendation thread, what do you expect
>more anime than ever before
Bullshit, we've been getting a lot less anime per season since 2008 due to anime economy collapsing. Not only have we been getting LESS shows, the shows have actually gotten less original, because risky projects are harder to finance now due to the bubble bursting.
Not saying whether that means the shows have gotten worse or better ,but in my opinion less artistic creativity and originality = I have less to watch.
>anime economy collapsing
>looking for artistic integrity in anime
>Every new anime I have seen has been garbage, prove me wrong
You're very right OP, all the shows you watch are shit.
Let's play this backwards.
How about you name a good show from 2006-2007 and we tell you why it's shit?
>looking for artistic integrity in anime
I know not every show has content past pure entertainment, but if you treat everything like them you would be missing out on a lot.
Shit that game was so fucking good.
Not saying there's nothing, just saying there's LESS. Why does /a/ only understand absolutes?
Do sentences like "ALL ANIME IS SHIT" or "ALL ANIME IS GREAT" really make sense to you more than "anime quality has gotten slightly worse" or "anime quality has gotten somewhat better"?
Are you me?
First, learn to read.
>more anime AVAILABLE now
Second, I would hardly to call 2006-2007 anime seasons particularly "artistic" or "creative" as a whole. Nearly all the shows people raved about took inspiration from superior shows in the 80-90s (case in point: Code Geass < LOGH).
OP isn't here anymore, we all took the b8
>actually watching anime
>Every new anime I have seen has been garbage, prove me wrong.
Then watch older anime?
Alright, so more is available since anime from previous years is still available, but we have been getting less anime per year.
As for artistic or creative, anime has always been a copy-and-paste medium (like all entertainment mediums to be frank), but I do believe we would get a lot more companies taking risks back in 2006-2007. These days you get maybe a couple of shows a year with studios going out of their comfort zones, regardless of quality.
It's sad that you're finally moving on to greener pastures. You've been such an integral part of our community all this time, and it's great that you've ended your time here with such a high-caliber post. I'll truly miss you and treasure the memories we've shared together.
What shows in that timeline were "risks"?
>Nearly all the shows people raved about took inspiration from superior shows in the 80-90s (case in point: Code Geass < LOGH).
But that's wrong. LOGH is all war story.
