Men who obsess over 2D girls because of the romance/love/physical intimacy lacking in their own lives always have shit taste in anime. Without exception. They don't care about well developed, believable characters, don't care about interesting or clever plots, don't care about original story lines, and don't know how to appreciate good animation and art direction.
They are plebs.
Obviously I didn't mention women obsessing over 2D guys because it is automatically assumed they are plebs with shit taste.
True. It's the main reason why anime is so derivative and childish. In terms of quality it's certainly closer to video games than live-action film.
Should have put 'WITHOUT EXCEPTION' in all caps, just to show us that you mean business.
Btw can we have more pictures of Arisu
>"I'll do any jobs that you tell me to do, so don't worry."
Arisu is such a good girl
this doesn't apply to me right? I admit to liking a lot of shit anime, but I also like good ones...
Seems to me that you're the one that can't recognize quality works
If anime is your main hobby then you're probably pretty "pleb".
I still love the medium for that 5% which IS comparable in quality to decent live action films or TV. Although I learned years ago that manga is where it's at.
Her hair color annoys me. It feels wrong to name any character 'Alice' if she isn't a blond.
I don't think this applies to me. I generally dislike those kind of animu and I lack a waifu.
didn't stop me from being a lolicon though
Oh god, MUH CULTURE SHOCK!
Just get the fuck out of /a/ and go to /tv/ instead, fucking crossboarders.
Isn't it poor taste to discuss the obvious OP-kun?
Fuck off, reddi/tv/
Not really, I like Japanese films.
There's some truth to that but that applies to the majority.
I'd bet the majority of otakus want a pure maiden and that really makes most anime bland and boring.
That's funny, I have a higher power level than you, admit to being a lolicon (probably been one longer than you've been watching anime), and yet remain waifuless.
I just hold anime to a high standard, because I know of how much potential this medium has.
>I have a higher power level than you
Enough to know you're a newfag teenager. Thanks for playing.
>I just hold anime to a high standard
Eh. Anime is pretty low quality actually.
>I know of how much potential this medium has
Silly thinking. What potential? We are living in a real world and TV animation (especially anime) is one of the most commercialized entertainment out there.
I'll leave this here.
Since it's obvious that OP doesn't belong here, let's just guess which board he is from and he will tell whether it is true or false.
I was ordering VHS tapes into my local comic book shop, and buying manga in the thin American comic book monthly format for years. I have only been on /a/ since 2007 though, so I will always carry that perpetual newfag status.
Anime isn't just for TV. What of OAV and feature films? That's not to say there aren't really good TV shows which have been produced over the decades. With TV you can overlook cheaper animation if it has heart and good strong characters and story.
Mine own post. Decided to start a thread. What of it?
I am lurking dozens of threads across multiple boards, just like always.
One of those retards who shitpost here to "piss those weebs off"
From /r9k/ and /tv/ apparently.
Why are you posting loli images? How is this related to our discussion?
>With TV you can overlook cheaper animation if it has heart and good strong characters and story.
Can't think of many shows like that. For example there isn't even a single show I would call mature and interesting this season.
>mature and interesting
Yeah but this season has the fun factor.
>Why are you posting loli images?
He's posting loli pictures because he reverse-trolls lolis and is playing the obnoxious deep anon to get more people hate them.
Yes, why? It's childish and stupid.
It's true. Anime is painfully derivative and juvenile.
>I know of how much potential this medium has.
People with this opinion usually suck. Why do you think anime has so much potential?
>Anime is painfully derivative and juvenile
And you're still here because? Why would you waste your time with something childish and derivative if some superior mature medium exists?
Because I have seen it. If you don't agree with me, I suggest you get off of /a/ and go watch more anime.
This is a running debate between a friend of mine. I tend toward science fiction, dark or psychological anime, while he is solely interested in harem comedies and PUELLA MAGIS. He's even lost interest in the few animes that he introduced me to that I did like, like the Monogatari series.
>still using the word newfag
Hey, how about you actually try to disprove OP instead of throwing ad hominems around? Better yet, post you're waifu
Are you excited for Like Father, Like Son?
Anime isn't my main medium. I usually watch few shows per season. I like my yuri and cute girls doing cute things.
It's like with horror movies. I know that most of them are really bad and campy, but they can be enjoyable.
They're mostly autistic. Let's not discriminate though. They just see the world differently and find value where others might not.
Yes, Kore-eda is my favorite contemporary Japanese director. I doubt it will be as good as Still Walking, but I'm pretty excited.
To be honest the last couple of years have been pretty weak for Japanese cinema. Shinji Aoyama's Eureka is my favorite film, so I was really let down by Tokyo Park.
Although I enjoy art film and animation, I can't help but love shitty anime. The last show I really liked was The Idolm@ster. Forgive me.
Does he have a girlfriend?
Yeah, just goback2>>>/tv/
I wouldn't consider him a beta or anything like that. But I think he's in denial as to why he likes that sort of anime.
It's called escapism, OP.
It's pretty much what most of /a/ does, not really anything new about that.
Look at some clips of good animation. Now imagine a nice story to complement the flair. Was that so hard?
