Are you fucking serious?
Wizard Barrister thread.
I have hate everyone at that law firm.
it was a cop that shot her, not the other law firm.
>Madam can you please put on some clothes that would suit a court setting-
>These are my battle clothes :)
>Okay but we are professionals and this is a-
>No I'm going to wear this :)
Somebody fire this bitch.
No, I'm complaining about the fact she's complaining the cop shot her.
Jeez, we've got an escaped defendant wrecking everyone's shit, why did you shoot her. Bloody hell.
She's pretty cute, a shame.
Fuck, I hate that too. I would fucking kick her out.
There is no excuse for shooting a cute gril.
Wait, what? She's a functioning adult? That works at a law firm? WITH THAT FUCKING HAIR?
You would have thought that they would have improved their security after the first incident.
The more bullshit part is how Hachiya gets off with a week of house arrest when he's just as responsible for almost getting everyone killed.
I hate her because it sounds like her seiyuu is trying to hard to be Aoi Yuuki (Madoka) and it comes off as "Am I kawaii? uguu".
She sounds nothing like Aoi Yuuki and her personality is completely different from Madoka's.
Well, she's 17. The head judge calls her out each time on her clothes and she ignores him each time.
Oh god, hey you just help a defendant escaped becoming an accomplice into multiple accounts of murder and aiding and abetting blah, blah.
One week of house arrest for you, I bet he was paid as well.
I just want to know how them being her "battle clothes" is a Justification for wearing them in the court room.
The court room is a battle of law.
I am not sure if I will be able to continue this show, the bitch MC is so fucking ignorant of how to respect the court system, her job and the people she defends by wearing her dumb fucking clothes/hair combo.
I'm only watching this for Wakamoto.
The only decent character and she's still a bitch. I'd fuck her though.
>>how to respect the court system
The court system doesn't deserve respect
Because her other outfit is too casual and not for work.
Gerald Butler pls
>complaining about a wizard's sense of style
I'd wear whatever I wanted too if I was a wizard.
As of episode 3 I am only watching for the impending mindbreak. If it gets retarded enough it will be dropped until I see a thread saying there was mindbreak, and then I'll only watch the pertinent episode.
Dem dead eyes.
Apparently wizards aren't even considered human under the law. The entire system is extremely fucked up.
The Mecha is a bit excessive, anyone else think the show would be better without it?
>wearing anything besides your robe, and wizard hate
I wouldn't consider people that could summon robots out of random pieces of nearby metal human either.
I wanted to like this show, but the main character just fucking killed it.
WHAT ARE FUCKING BATTLE CLOTHES
She really, really did. She ruins the whole show for me.
Nobody knows but if a judge comments on your clothes you can just yell at him that theyre your battle clothes and he will then shut up.
It's fine imo, the main focus still seems to be the courtroom drama, the mechs are just icing.
>Finally graduated law school
>First day at the job
>Dress professionally and arrive on time to make a good impression
>Some 2kawaii4u slut straight out of highschool comes and steals your spotlight
>Constantly has everyone's attention
Being Nattchi is suffering
Well, she's dead.
>be powerful wizards
>treated like second class citizens
how the fuck does this happen?
Brave men ready to commit violence on our behalf as we sleep.
Best episode so far.
>still waiting on Underwater
Was it rape?
Wizards are powerful not immortal and I'm pretty sure only 1/10 people are wizards maybe even less than that. Think Darker than black power levels.
Thank you wizard illuminati for keeping them in check
Can't rape the willing.
>Darker than black power levels
So there's very common ones, then there's around 2 or 3 that are ridiculously strong, like Havoc and Bai.
So is Cell some super power wizard with powers yet to be unlocked or something? Does this follow a manga or is it kinda free balling?
>buy the BDs!
Holy hell this show turned into a turd real fast. It sucks that the animation is so damn good the with such unlikable characters.
It is an original production.
I still wonder why not all wizard rioting.
Rough men ready to visit violence on any trouble makers.
Wizard have more firepower.
Foolish human, you know nothing.
Because they aren't immune to bullets.
Wizards are weak to bullets. I saw it in my Chinese cartoons.
Seriously some of the ugliest characters I have ever seen in an anime.
I can't watch this show.
The fire wizard in the first ep just melted their bullets in mid air.
I don't know what's more retarded
That the guy that got almost everybody killed walks off with a week of home arrest, or that the main character just got these bullshit new powers out of nowhere.
I never really got on board with the entire concept of "let's treat individuals with the power to destroy cities or conquer the world as equals". I know it doesn't specifically apply here because mechs aside wizards don't seem too strong.
Now X-men on the other hand. That is complete bullshit (even though supposedly most mutants are weak as shit, but since we practically never see them it doesn't count).
>too casual for Umetsu's designs
Enjoy your shit taste.
They look fine. It's the fact that everyone acts retarded is what's bothering me.
>some of the ugliest characters
I'd like to defend Cecil for a second. The judge wants her to wear normal clothes because its professional or whatnot, but come on. theyre in a room where the defendant gets instantly incinerated if found guilty. its not exactly the queens dining room.
You'd think that's all the more reason so her to dress professionally. I mean if she ever loses a case is she just going to pull a "tee hee oopsie" while dressed like a clown? Would that really be the last thing you want to see before you die. Actually don't answer that.
They should have made it like Mezzo Forte. Who wouldn't want to watch Cecil get doublestuffed over and over?
I just want to buy her a drink and listen to her complain about her day at work.
This. So much this.
They hand out death sentences with no evidence whatsoever, then when the whole courtroom almost gets killed due to the actions of the silver haired dude, and he only gets a week of being babysat?
So I have a question dear /a/nons. HOW THE FUCK DID THIS SHIT GET GREENLIT? EVERY ASPECT OF IT IS LITERALLY SHIT.
First two episodes:
>they want to convict a guy to death with no hard evicence
>they hold a fucking trial without any fucking investigation in the bank robber group
>the redhead cop is a fucking bitch who doesn't even do her job
After the third episode:
>OP'S FUCKING PIC
>The white haired faggot releases the convict and gets 1 week of house arrest
>HURR DURR "HAVE YOU HAD SEX"
>"JUST LIKE SEX"
>insert "funny" sex joke
And how the fuck did fucking wizards get ruled over by such laws? Why the fuck would they bow down to such fucking retarded laws? THEY ARE FUCKING WIZARDS WHO SHOOT FIREBALLS.
I really wanted to like the show, but everything is just fucking dumb.
And the worst part is that the animations are above average meaning that they got a decent budget. WHY?
The difference with him is that one one died other than the girl. And he didnt kill her.
>Literally a pig fucker
I'm almost certain this anime was purely designed to see how far they could infuriate people without getting them to outright drop it
there is no other explanation
Then fuck her, right?
My thoughts, exactly,
Why is everyone except Hotaru an autism enabler?
I wouldn't say no, but let me at least massage her shoulders and feet first.
If that's the case, it still has along way to go if it wants to top this.
I watched the first episode and it was somewhat entertaining, but I didn't like the art style, character designs, or plot, and the MC annoyed me. After reading this thread I guess it doesn't really get much better so I suppose I'm dropping this show.
Still better show than space autist. Better animation too
>having a death sentence
I know we were over this. But holy shit. What the fuck Japan?
He got "punished" enougth by the fact she stabbed him multiple times Nadeko style with her magic. He is teh only actual hurt victim of the case.
I wonder if they're going to do a "dark age of the law" thing or some plot against wizards.
Oh man I wanted to so bad for this to be good only to be disappointed, disgusted, and raging by the end.
>And how the fuck did fucking wizards get ruled over by such laws? Why the fuck would they bow down to such fucking retarded laws? THEY ARE FUCKING WIZARDS WHO SHOOT FIREBALLS.
They are probably a minority without too many options on their part.
I suppose they could buy an island and try to form their own country, but that would probably be hard to do for a numerous number of reasons.
The Wud are practically the Mutants of Marvel.
That pig was surprisingly cute.
>you will never be a 2D qt wizard barrister grill
Those Sealing cuffs seam pretty effective barring the 2 outliers.
and thank fucking jesus and the holy ghost for that
How long until they become best friends forever?
Fuck I need sleep
Why are the Wud Illuminati and the Court for Wizards ruining everything?
The smiles. Ruined. Gone for good.
And pretty easy to break
Two years and still breakable with voodoo
just when they feel the audience can't get anymore mad at the bullshit they're pulling, she will get totally fucked over by cecil in every way but it's okay because they're friends now
also she comes back with a totally different style, personality and manner of speech after the event
She was pretty cute
Like I said two outliers
>cuts her hair
>gets a battle outfit
I don't like the slut
>>The white haired faggot releases the convict and gets 1 week of house arrest
Wasn't that tangibly related to the point of the entire episode?
Our convicted girl here, sought out and committed murder, and then pursued to make a point bringing to light how fucked up the system is when the guy who killed someone by accident got the death penalty whereas she who was convicted under murderous intent, got off with a life sentence in the end.
Case A: Supposed illegible use of magic resulting in someone's death.
Case B: Supposed murderer out for revenge.
Case C: Wizard barrister and former prosecutor, committing Direct violation of the law and the regulations of the body of law.
2 weeks or paid house arrest
The system is something of a joke. And it's full of prejudice and bias.
Wakamoto frog getting jiggy with it
I am actually enjoying this show far more than I thought I would so far.
But that show was actually good, unless you went in expecting cute girls.
That is all clear. And that is the main issue. The system was implemented X years before the anime takes place and it's literally SHIT. How and why did it get implemented like that in the first place?
This anime literally spoonfeeds the viewer with the idea that "prejudice is bad" but it does with a completely retarded setting. If an already established law system has prejudice than the only way it could remain established is that it's subtle. But this show is all but subtle in this aspect. Even the characters spoonfeed these ideas to the viewer (like the murderer woman in ep 3). And this is why it's shit.
This show would have been awesome though if it was more like pic related.
I highly doubt they'll go into this but it's more than likely that if it were a well constructed world that heavy prejudice against magic usage would be well justified within a democratic capitalist society since it allows individuals to deviate so significantly from expectations required in normal functioning of the society that magic alone could and would destabilize the entire system.
not saying that's inherently bad or good but as long as you live in a world with power levels you're either going to end up with excessive regulation or complete chaos
I'm fairly certain wizard barristers will just be like "BUT THAT'S MEAN, YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE MEAN, STOP IT BIG BAD GUYS IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL NON-KAWAII BATTLE OUTFITS"
>If an already established law system has prejudice than the only way it could remain established is that it's subtle.
Really? I believe people are generally aware of the bias. It's just that the Wud doesn't appear to have much of any say in the matter.
Your picture and your statement do not relate.
Your picture shows one of the best animes made to date.
You are confusing me.
Kawaii Boston Legal would be great.
Can you imagine their battle outfits?
As someone who works at law firm I find this show exceedingly dumb and hilarious.
Aren't you making the assumption that the magicians have rights?
They are appear to be second to third class citizens. A minority living under the regular folks.
Fuck, why does she have to be so delicious? I tempted to pick the show back up just for that scene.
Not sure if i want doujins or not
>BUY OUR BDS
The show is fun. So why not do it?
I might just put this anime off until BDs...or a rape scene. She has a delicious rump...and dat ass massage scene from the first ep. There's no porn of this anime on any *booru site.
The anime started out OK, but why didn't Mayu say that BS BEFORE she went berserk and got killed? How much are you willing to bet Mitsuhisa got off easily because that one chick...don't remember the name...gave up some poon to get off with a slap on the wrist
>its not a show about a magic coffee shop
Daiz said the episodes should be out today.
That's barista you unfunny fuck. I hope your milk expires today.
Robe and wizard hat
not after a little burn on his face
>complaining about Umetsu writing
Everyone knows is shit. You can only watch it for the animation porn
how does he even have a job after galilei donna?
The head of his company had to "pay" for that, though and she is a human. Make 2+2 anon, she had sex with the judge and the jury in exchange of a weaker verdict for Hachi.
It's like she's frank grimes.
Galilei Donna was fucked up in many ways.
They even admitted that the show was planned for two cours and at the end they needed to cut down everything for 11 episodes.
Also: They mistook Galilei for Da Vinci.
I think these wizards are doing the whole lawyer thing wrong
>Also: They mistook Galilei for Da Vinci.
What is sad is that there was an Italian in the staff.
Has it actually been 2 cours, it could have been great.
Still no rape?
There is probably going to be a case involving a wud rapist, and the girl who always make the lewd jokes is probably going to become uncomfortable and all as things suddenly got serious.
Agreed, it actually started off okay.
>Buy the BD see more
'Fraid this is as close as it will get.
Wasn't he under house arrest?
So what is he doing here? Does he live in a fuck huge mansion with the city graveyard in his backyard or what?
It's like a lot of the people here haven't even watched the show. There are lots of unexplained things. Like why Cecil gets congratulated by some high-up after her first case. Like how her boss gets let off impersonating a police officer in the previous episode. Like how her coworker gets a week's house arrest for something that should really get him years in prison. And so on. But we've already had the first part of the explanation - there is a Big Conspiracy going down to do with Grimoire 365. This will be the plot thread that will explain everything in the end. Except for why Miss Piggy is guesting.
>Like how her boss gets let off impersonating a police officer in the previous episode.
She is a friend of the cop and they didn't say if only the cop knows what she did.
This is totally like that movie with dubs guy
How do you protect your client?
By bringing up the real criminal, who for some reason is complete honest.
Such an interesting and provocative anime.
Can't help but imagine sex behind the scenes.
Seems to me there's a lot of people in here who never saw a show by Umetsu. To me those guys come across as someone who goes into a restaurant ordering a dish involving chicken, then complain that it tastes like chicken. So far, I got exactly what I thought I'd get. Hot girls of varying slutiness, funky designs for everyone, 80s action movie style hard-boiled action and forgettable plot. So far, I'm entertained.
As someone who works in American criminal defense I'm perpetually bemused.
Okay guys, I've got it.
Wizard Illuminati knew that Cecil was the child of prophecy and tried to put a hit on her. Cecil's mom used magic to protect her and got a life sentence.
Give him an axe and a wud to sodomize now.
I can drop the anime now ;_;
rm -rf *
At least she isn't completely stupid. Knows the law but not common sense it seems
Where the fuck was this guy the whole fucking episode?
>someone who goes into a restaurant ordering a dish involving chicken, then complain that it tastes like chicken
This show feels like it's straight from early 2000s. I like it.
I hate the MC, I also hate the chick with "Go to hell" on her back who puts ketchup and whipped cream on everything. What the fuck are battle cloths?! I would have liked the show better if the child prodigy wasn't so retarded.
pic is the only good character in the show and the cops.
>Inexplicably youngest barrister ever
>Wears whatever she wants in a fucking courtroom because everybody instantly loves her
>Racks up massive fines breaking the law but the firm is fine to pay it because she's so amazing and only doing what's right
>Capable of a rare type of magic some people haven't even seen
>Ditzy as fuck but it's okay because that just means everyone loves her more for being SO CUTE XD
>Shows up veteran practitioners multiple times despite being in the job for a week
This show isn't bad but this character is the reason the term Mary Sue was invented.
Are you upset?
Agreed. I hope she gets better, it's sad because I enjoy the setting too.
>Racks up massive fines breaking the law but the firm is fine to pay it because she's so amazing and only doing what's right
No she had to pay that herself
>Capable of a rare type of magic some people haven't even seen
We had 3 people so far that are able to use the same kind of magic. I doubt it's that rare
>who for some reason is complete honest.
Aside from being a bad guy, did he really have any reason to be dishonest? His testimony wouldn't have any effect whatsoever on his own trial, and the guy did kill his friend.
If he lied, it's true that out bank-stalker friend might have gotten executed, which could be seen as some kind of revenge. But his own case was already doomed, being a member of the no-face gang and whatnot. He probably wanted to went his frustrations, and the guy did kill his friend.
I like how all the (female) characters get to have their lips drawn. Instant hotness upgrade. Too many animu neglect that detail.
I hope reality hits them extremely soon, Cecil gets kicked out of the courtroom for contempt of court, and her client is sentenced to death because she wasn't there to defend.
i actually liked this movie...
wizard barristers should have been about the awesome cops instead of a law firm full of worst girls. best part of this show was the first couple of minutes of episode 1
>Instant hotness upgrade. Too many animu neglect that detail.
While her motivation to say that line was probably her SJW personality streak, this particular situation warranted asking what the fuck the cop was doing, from Cecile's POV. The chick was just about to go into details how her friend's death was a set up and before she could say any more, supercop chose that exact moment to shoot her.
She should try to quit that habit.
you know that a barrister's job is basically to battle right
Grimoire 365 and the Wud illuminati responsible for ruining everything.
What I can't withstand is how people is sentenced to death even for magic farts but then the "good guys " destroy a harbor, capture people without having authority or even FUCKING remove the handcuffs from a subject during a trial that tries to kill everyone and nothing happens.
>No she had to pay that herself
She had one fine come out of her pay but the second, much larger fine, was written off by the firm.
>We had 3 people so far that are able to use the same kind of magic. I doubt it's that rare
In the second episode one of the Barristers didn't recognise her type of magic.
Bad writing and actual zero understand of the court of law.
They literally have The Ten Wizard Commandments and if they fuck up they are sent to hell. The Wizard Barristers are actually demons under the Devil's control, so they get away with it.
Seeing how a battle occurred in this very court room, it seems Cecile made a good call to wear her battle clothes, just in case. "Ooh I need to move freely, but today I'm wearing that uncomfortable blazer and constricting office skirt. Fucking shit, I'm going to die because I didn't wear my goddamn comfy battle apparel". There's you go, now you can shut up about it.
When you use magic for justice you are automatically absolved of all sins.
They probably have the Flamenco guy as president.
Magical girls get their own dress code.
What's with all the legal procedure autists coming out of the woodwork for this series? It's a goddamn action show. That's what you should be here for. That's what Umetsu is known for.
The handcuff deal should have been a really serious matter, I mean he was deliberately accomplice to attempted (multiple)murder.
And one week domiciliary arrest? Come on
Battle Clothes are probably treated or designed somehow to make magic flow better or something.
If that's true though, wouldn't it kind of means that she is "armed"? As far as Wuds are concerned.
But then again, there appears to be people carrying actual firearms as well, so perhaps it's not that odd.
>What's with all the legal procedure autists coming out of the woodwork for this series?
Is it that odd? People sperg out over tiny details such as trigger discipline and stuff when it comes to weapons.
I imagine that this is pretty much the same thing.
>I mean he was deliberately accomplice to attempted (multiple)murder
With all the Wud prejudice and anti-Wud bias, it's probably quite hard to argue anything. But technically speaking, wasn't he deliberately an accomplice to attempted suicide? He thought he was going to be the only target.
So how come the sought punishment for using magic in any way is the death penalty pretty much every time?
So far we only got cases with murder via magic.
>implying it won't still be censored in the BD's
It was already implied that the boss barrister made a backdoor deal (doujinshi incoming) to keep his punishment moderate.
The non-Wud probably want to exterminate any Wud if given a chance, the law is just there to legitimize it, but theres still that life imprisonment though.
Will these guys ever show up? Or is it not that type of show?
so how is her mom sentenced to death but wasn't executed on the spot like the others?
So far, we haven't seen any supertechnology, apart from magic powered mechs and those magic jamming devices. I think they'll keep the fights mages vs mages, since it's a short series anyway. They've got enough on their platter as it is.
Probably in death row, they didn't want to execute her just yet because plot
Perhaps, but if he thought she would only try to kill him and would leave alone the judge he was either really naive or really retarded.
>Implying Sentinels are competent
Well, that was exactly my point, was an affair to big too be dealed with "I asked some favors". The rest of the episode was ok, but that part was really stupid.
Well, in some of the universes/future/realities/whatever Master Mold conquered the world
So,how did that guy broke the seals like if they were crackers? and why did he die shortly after going berserk?
The Wuds of Macal are trying to exterminate the Wuds of Labone for some reason. The two Wuds who disabled the gavel/security system were Wuds of Labone.
Cecil is cute. Why does everyone hate her?
And she is far from perfect. I believe it has been made quite clear that she is inexperienced, and makes mistakes with repercussions.
>makes mistakes with repercussions
Seseri a best
She was fined, and she has been making trouble for her seniors.
And she hasn't exactly made herself popular with everyone.
It's always the stoic guys with the cute stuff.
would take up her offer
Is this a play on the muppets?
Not unless the pig and frog fuck.
Beats me, I don't know the first thing about the muppets.
I dropped this after the second episode. The first one was pretty painful, but I was willing to give it a chance. When they showed up at the last minute, just as the judge was delivering his verdict with a SHOCKING SURPRISE WITNESS and were not only allowed to enter his testimony as evidence but do so immediately without giving the prosecution a chance to prepare, nope, no thanks.
They could have done a lot of interesting stuff with this premise, even if they wanted to stick with the ~kawaii-uguu~ shit, but I'm not going to sit through a bunch of terribly cliche courtroom drama on top of that.
To be fair the angle the prosecutors were pushing was unbelievable retarded and would normally get laughed out of court
I hope this show has hardcore h-scenes included in the BDs to help it sell. It needs them. I need them.
>People look disappointed that it was you who walked through the door on your first day
Why are all magic shows so shit
doesn't that just make the show even worse then?
Only if you're expecting it to be a realistic portrayal of court.
Are all the familiars buddies somehow?
Do they keep in touch?
Like, do they all subscribe to the same newsletter?
I wonder how the lawfag autists here would react to an Ace Attorney anime, if that were to ever happen.
But why if he would have gied anyway
OP single when?
The OP is actually great. I have never had a chance to really mention that in the midst of all this whining about Cecil and the jury system.
But the OP is actually not that bad at all. One of the openings I don't feel like skipping whenever I watch it.
Oppression by the filthy goi.
MC looks too silly with those pigtails. They don't suit her at all. It's the sole reason I haven't picked this up. Does she ever permanently change her hairstyle?
>Not liking 2 different pairs of handlebars so you can have her deepthroat from more than 1 angle
of what I've read.. this seems fairly common in japan, cops just interrogate you until you're force to confess after days of imprisonment. and in a court they will sentence you even with poor evideence.
