Things just got a little more interesting...
My god, that woman has a face!
Mai's whole body from head to toe is a work of perfection.
I am I the ONLY person who think this anime is a piece of crap?
Otome is crap. Hime is fairly decent.
kill yourself faggot
HiME was the show that got spoiler tags added to /a/ right? So it's awesome legacy there.
I dropped it 5 episodes in because it couldn't hold up my interest. Might get back into it, but the bit I have seen falls just short of crap in my opinion, yes.
Tokiha-sempai isn't Tokiha-sempai without glasses.
It gets better. Until the very last episode.
It's average to below average until little more than halfway through the show. Then it gets awesome.
Hime - great show with the worst fucking ending ever
Otome - good show with good ending
The second half of the series makes up for the first half.
what he said
>Otome - shit.
The ending to the anime Mai-Hime was fine. lrn2behappy.
Anime Mai-otome overall was a pile of shit. Manga was GAR and hotblooded though
And trap too.
Mai Hime anime > Manga
Mai Otome manga > Anime
Hime deserved a "everyone dies" ending.
Otome plot was a lot more fail because of the ridiculous amount of plot devices.
>>10099235 Otome - good show with good ending
Uh, Otome has a pretty good ending.
The biggest issue with the show is that the middle of it is boring as hell.
No it didn't, an "everyone dies" ending (quite possibly one of the laziest plot types that exists) would have been completely out of character with the entire rest of the series.
That was Otome
I liked the silly monster of the week junk that made up the first few episodes of Hime. Made the later blows hit a little harder
Starting from the middle of the show, it was building up to a "Everyone dies" ending, then DEUS EX MACHINA H4X TO RESURRECT EVERYONE.
>>10099294 I liked the silly monster of the week junk that made up the first few episodes of Hime.
Exactly. Lighten up, fuckheads.
The biggest issue of the show is that it makes no fucking sense. It's good for fanservice and a laugh but not much else.
Hime at least sort of made sense and it was a lot more fun and interesting to watch the character's break down and kill each other than take out generic badguy #327.
exactly what part of Otome's story was confusing to you?
No it wasn't, at all.
Apart from the fact the "deus ex machina" (which was foreshadowed LONG ahead of time) the show maintained a non SO DARK, SO EMO nature to it.
For fucks sake, not a minute or two after Tate died with Mai screaming and bawling her eyes out in despair they were laughing it up in the next episode preview making jokes about it!
These people know what's up.
A MONSTER THAT STEALS PANTIES?
AN IRON CHEF EPISODE EVEN AFTER THE SHIT HAD TECHNICALLY ALREADY HIT THE FAN?
"Where's Mai?" That's the question I kept asking for 90% of the series.
Does anybody else find it extremely funny every time they recycle the character John Smith?
It's always so dramatic too. It's like - Now, a major plot point brought to you by (drum roll, please).... JOHN SMITH!
It's not confusing in the sense that I couldn't tell what they were getting at. It's just that there was really no logical course of events. Especially Zwei. I mean come on, she rode a fucking dolphin out to some random island that appeared in the middle of nowhere.
Of course it's shit but it's still fun to watch. A guilty pleasure.
you didn't see that coming, did you?
How was it foreshadowed?
Why didn't this happen in the show?
From the point at which they knew it was a Highlander scenario, Mai said she wanted to break the 300 year cycle. Obviously, if everyone but one dies and there's a winner to perpetuate the festival, the cycle is not broken.

This art book is full of win.
Link to art book?
is that so? rapidshit plz
I started watching this show beacuse of the character design. The first episode or so was alright, but then it turned into crap. It did a few things right, I liked the scene where Mai gets a blank look on her face for a while and then goes batshit insane, but most of the show just felt stupid. Most of those robotic whateverthefuck-they-ares were just ugly and stupid. The plot was generally pretty meh and the side characters were annoying. Also, horrible engrish. It's a shame, because I wanted it to be good.
no "/a/ is for /a/rinko" hijack yet?
/a/ is for Natsuki's ass.
/a/ is for M/a/i tits and N/a/tsuki ass.
Nope. Because Arinko is a terrible character and one of the principle reasons why Otome sucked.
Die in a fire, /a/ntsy is Loev
Arinko is love. All of you can just GO TO HELL
Cock Hijack Lol
so mo- Wait she's really moe moe
wait, TATE? IN DRAG?
That's not Tate, that's Mashiro (who is male in the manga)
Loved it for the yurilicious doujins..
dont remember mashiro. maybe its because i didnt watch otome
It's Manshiro and Obi-Wan Tate.
I preferred both Manga's over the anime myself...
