Overlapping ED is best ED. The pic is Gatchaman Crowds its has an overlapping ED and I was just watching it. The other ones I can think of are Angelic Layer, Angel beats and Fullmetal Alchemist. Do you have any you can think of? What kind of ED do you like if this is not your cup of tea?

Chrome Shelled Regios also has a pre-emptive or overlapping ED.

Recent shows that did it really well were Kyokai no Kanata and Jojo, and it's always pretty fucking great when done right.
>>
Try watching this for the ed coming in at the end or overlapping ed. One of the best last year for me.

The first one that comes to my mind is Ouran Host Club.

to make things worse, the version with the overlapping intro was never released anywhere.

Lead-in EDs can be awesome when they fit the mood of the episode, but they can also be the source of massive disasters.

I feel it can set the mood perfectly. FMA: The Anime did it best it think of honestly.

When I think of the words "bokura wa ima de mo sakenderu" I can see some of the parts of the so show clearly in my head.
>>
Toradora was really good with it, and recently Silver Spoon has been doing it too.
>>
Psycho Pass did it in some episodes.

I am a retard that needs to go back and watch that. Haven't seen it since the original run.

Strike the Blood has a lead-in ED. I think when a series uses an ED that starts with instrumental, they're more likely to use a lead-in.
>>
I liked Crowds' ed and op a lot, but the actual full ost was really disappointing.
>>
Watch JoJo, OP.

Yeah, I loved Toradora's use of it. Vanilla Salt is just great.

The rhythm is found when the music is loud, etc.

Noucome and Kyousougiga are the freshest in my mind. I thought it worked well for both.

I do like this style of ED it leads out of each episode really smooth and 85% of the time the song is fitting for the moment. Be it a last second reveal or a touching moment.
>>
Log Horizon does this.
Also I remember it happening in Black Lagoon because I would live-watch it with others and the music would trigger so many reactions.
>>
As mentioned before, Jojo did it quite well. The opening chords of Roundabout really fit, like in ep 2.

Jojo

JC staff does this well on their SOL shows a lot. Kyoukai no kanata did it too andwhilr it was annoying since I couldn't get the ED without some voices in around the earlier episodes, it was well made.

This. It was perfect in Valvrave.
