Dear /a/ I recently moved to Europe and the person I am living with says authorities are super anal about downloading and piracy etc. I am a pussy and have abstained from trying to download anything since i got here. Are there any German fags that could tell me how they download their animu?

>inb4 newfag, sage, stream it lel

Im not the best with computers and I just want my anime. I'll delete the thread if I get an answer (and let it die otherwise). Please help.

Now please delete the thread

>>100972567
Find a good ftp server that hosts anime?
I do beleive there are some with monthly fees and i found a free one myself.
>>
>>100972621
Are torrents even ok? I've alwas downloaded from Nya but how do I know I won't get caught?
>>
>>100972773

Stop being paranoid

Nobody cares about chinese cartoons
>>
Just pirate. They might not like it, but they're not gonna do anything about it. After all, 50% of isp traffic is piracy [citation needed].

>tldr: don't give a fuck
>>
>>100972731
So anything not licenced in Germany is ok to download?

Will delete thread soon.
>>
>>100972773
You just won't. I'm German and I've been downloading my chinese cartoons using torrents for about 5 years and I never got caught
>>
>>100972821
They are in France, don't know about Germany tough.
>>
>>100972746
>found a free one

link?
>>
>>100972844
You can't anymore. Thanks moot.
>>
>>100972567
That's what you get for living in a Europe that's not Switzyland.

I live in the UK and even with the house's ridiculous bandwidth usage each month, I've not heard a single complaint.

If you're particularly worried, use XDCC instead of torrents.
>>
>>100972844
Even most licensed shit is okay, the right holders don't give a fuck. Just don't download anything that isn't anime
>>
>>100972864
Ok. Thanks. I'll take my paranoid ass out now.

Peace.
>>
IRC. Hell, you should be using it already, for currently airing anime.
>>
>>100972876
You really think I would kill the server by posting it here?
Search for one yourself.

If you are that paranoid get a VPN or a proxy.

Do your research on what will be best for you. Most ISPs in Europe really don't give a fuck.
>>
>>100972864
I'm german too, in 2012 or so there actually were a few guys getting raped. But they downloaded retarded entry level shit, so they deserved it.
>>
>>100972567

Being a german-fag myself, i've got nabbed once for DLing a movie of piratebay which i forgot to remove from my seeding... i have been downloading and seeding anime for ~10 years now and have yet to get even a cease and desist for them. As there is noone holding the rights to currently airing shit, noone gives a rats ass usually.

Your host is probably either afraid you'd get caught DLing hollywood shit (since he'd have to pay since its his connection/ip) or he does not want you to hog the bandwidth.

That being said, i use animetake, TT and nyaa, just like anyone else
>>
Hear me out, guys...

What if...
He purchases his anime.
>>
As we have some germanfags around and the case here seems to be over, what's your opinion on krautchan?
>>
TL;DR

Check if licensed

If yes, try DDL if you feel lucky
If no, Nyaa
>>
>>100972567
fun fact streaming is still downloading
>>
>>100973104
kanker
>>
>>100973086

Neigh impossible in germany, unless you go for really old or mainstream stuff like FMA:Brotherhood or Elfenlied

You're lucky if you find mainstream stuff that is younger than 2-3 years
>>
>>100973086
I would be broke for life already.
>>
>>100973086
How? You can't get blurays of older shows that were not licensed, and you also can't get shows that are currently airing that way.
And of course not everyone has the money to pay a hundred bucks for every 2-3 episodes he wants to watch
>>
>>100972567
>Dear /a/ I recently moved to Europe
Why?
>>
>>100973184
>>100973188
>>100973192
Maybe he is cancer who supports licensing jews?
>>
>>100973156

fun fact, redtube proved that in the eye of the law it is not (at least as far as germany is concerned).

There was a huge case recently where some lawyer tried to sue people who watched porn on redtube and it blew up in their face spectacularly
>>
>>100973252
That's even worse, less things to watch
>>
>>100973266
How did it blow up? Haven't heard that.
>>
German-fag here.

Absolutely no one cares what the fuck you download if it's just anime. Seriously. I've been using BakaBT and Nyaa for years without a single notice. He's just being cautious since it's his ass on the line IF somebody cared.

Still to much of a pussy? Get into XDCC and use #nibl. Though you'll have to download every episode individually.
>>
>>100973252

The thing is, even if you're a buyfag, its kind of hard to support the industry if there is nothing to buy

I´m German too and I roughly downloaded 300 TB of anime in the last 15 years and guess what, nothing happened
>>
>>100973361
They license popular stuff at least, Madoka, K-On and so on. But mostly in a really shitty way, so I guess it goes without saying that you shouldn't call yourself a buyfag if you buy that cheap almost-bootleg level kind of shit.

>>
>>100973321
Not quite like the other person told.

People were getting mails about watching shit on RedTube. Turns out it was some random mook trying to get money for stuff that was licensed, but not by HIM.
Meaning that as long as it's not the rights-holder complaining, nobody can fucking do anything to you.
>>
Do they really catch people for downloading torrent?
>>
>>100972567
Where do you live?
America is more anal about piracy than they are here where I live
>>
>>100973321

Courts said "streaming is not downloading" and now the lawyers are getting sued because they got the IPs/addresses illegally
