So can we all agree that he is the best protagonist of all time?
If you've seen at least 30 animes not counting movies, sure.
>white knight mary sue
>best protag of all time
Confirmed for not reading the novels.
You've missed 1/3 of your life.
>gary stu moralfag white knight
But that's not Sakata Gintoki.
Holy fuck people still follow shitdex?
No, he's a faggot. There are so many interesting and charismatic protagonists and you choose this whiteknight moralfag.
Good taste mah nigga.
>still watching/reading naruto light novel version
But Touma and Archer are the same.
fors sures ives seens alls thes animes
>implying /a/ can agree on anything at all.
I bet you even go around messing with people that like Naruto and you follow this piece of shit. People are like sheep, really.
Generic self-insert faggot MC thread? Generic self-insert faggot MC thread.
How's it feel like knowing that you missed one of the most active threads today, faglord?
Just because it's active doesn't mean it's good, faggot.
Man, Touma isn't even the best guy in his own series. So fuck off with that 9 NT shit already.
I wasn't saying anything about the quality, mr can't read their own posts.
If you could elaborate why, I might consider. What makes him the best? He's pretty much not all that different from all that LN protagonist.
He was the only one left in the world that was destroyed by the magic god Othinus, besides Othinus herself. He wanted to recover the world that was destroyed. Then Othinus decided to make him give up. He was killed many times in the most crazy fashion like being eaten by his friends. Then he goes full emo and decides to kill himself when Othinus shows him the world which is better without him and promises to leave it be. But cute chick stops him from doing it. He goes with monologue about his fate, and so she tells him to be selfish and fight for himself. He stands up determinded and goes to fight Othinus. Being cruelty killed eternal number of times again he still doesn't give up. After all that, Othinus gives up and gives the old world back. She loses her powers. But instead if killing this bitch, Touma decides to protect her from the enraged world that has been returned back.
After that people started to think he's the best of the best.
Oh, for Christ's sake just let this thread die already. No one wants this. Not the Indexfags, not the Toumafags. The only ones who want this are the people who want an excuse to shitpost.
>/a/ suddenly hates Touma
>Touma decides to protect her from the enraged world that has been returned back.
For what purpose?
/a/ isn't a hivemind.
This thread is barely alive.
Contrary to popular belief, people are in fact disliking thing that other people like and vice-versa.
He isn't even the best protagonist in his own series. Or second best. Or third.
Tsuchimikado>>>Misaka>Accelerator>Touma>that other faggot
He felt like it, like how he makes all of his stupid decisions.
>I don't know what a protagonist is. Please rape my face
Fuck off troglodyte
And people like him because of it? I don't see the appeal.
That's not Amuro.
Tsuchimikado and Accelerator have both been protagonists of specific volumes. Misaka is the protagonist of railgun. And I agree that other faggot isn't a protagonist but the author sure wants him to be.
But yeah Tsuchimikados adventures was the best volume of the novels by far.
>plot armour incarnate is the best protag guys but you have to read the entire light novel before you judge
I thought you were not a faggot, but after you brought Misaka above Accel, Touma and Hama you disappointed me hard.
Tsuchi is badass, strong, smart and quite charismatic but he isn't interesting. The man who always has a plan- that was my impression of him. Yeah his life as an agent is exciting and his past might be interesting but he is not exciting as a character. I would be bored following his series. I would prefer another person for his position, with the same intelligence yet still another char.
Mikoto is dumb and annoying as shit sometimes and not really relevant for the main events. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't believe in magic even after Othinus's appear. She's also typical as fuck.
Every Gundam MC is a douchebag, but atleast Amuro doesn't kick cripples down mountains.
I firmly disagree mate. Finding out that Tsuchimikado was doing all that crazy shit not because his fake sister died but because she even got involved at all was interesting. I thought it was going to be a boring revenge gimmick but you find out this guy just takes no shit. He is really cool.
For nothing at all. As I understood, he understood her feelings and motivation for destroying the old world, and he was the only one who did it. So he declared he wouldn't let her die.
Kamille is a great MC too. We need more Douchebag MCs, it would be more realistic.
All protagonists have plot armor. Most protagonists are supreme underdogs. A protagonist without plot armor would either fail in reaching his or her ultimate objective or probably already had an inherent advantage that allowed them to succeed in the first place.
A protagonist without plot armor wouldn't be able to save the world from the demon lord. He'd just get killed off near the beginning of the story.
A protagonist without plot armor wouldn't be able to rescue a victim from an impossible situation. The victim would just die without the protagonist being able to do anything to stop it.
The story of a protagonist without plot armor wouldn't be a story worth telling because there wouldn't even be a story to begin with. It would be over before it even began.
I think the best anime protagonist is Lelouch.
Most protagonists don't introduce themselves with "my arm sucks up all my luck" and then somehow have a million I-beams somehow miss them as they fall directly on them.
And honestly, if your defence for why one person is the best is that everyone else is the same, you've got a severely flawed reason.
>YFW the federation would have won even without the Gundam or Amuro. Because the GM would be made anyways, and the Federation would just win though production.
I'm not defending anything. I'm just saying that "plot armor" is a terrible argument for anything.
And it's not like the beams miss him by chance. He forces them to miss him. Chance is the one thing that never saves him. The only things that save him are deliberate actions.
What do you find so special about Tsuchi and his adventures? He's obsessed with his sister and goes berserk trying to take revenge for her fake death. And it was still quite boring except the part when he turned into psycho and wanted to slaughter the man. His work in group wasn't only his work. Other chars worked too. He just played a role of a captain in the beginning and provided plans. To be honest, besides him I liked Accelerator's work as well. These volumes would be boring without them. But the MC of them was only one.
It's the only thing that saves him, he only survives because the best possible outcome of any given situation occurs.
You don't understand what "luck" is then.
"Luck" is when something outside of anyone's direct control causes things to happen via sheer coincidence. Let's say that a tree branch is on the verge of snapping and falling. Someone without luck would have a higher chance of having that branch fall the moment they walk under it then someone with higher luck.
What bad luck ISN'T going to do is make a perfectly healthy tree branch snap entirely without reason and fall on the person in question.
Well, I agree that he's cool and awesome and can be a MC easily, I just don't find him as enjoyable and charming as you do.
The fact he actually has a personal motive is nice. His actions are more calculated and rely less on muh special powers than Touma and Accelerator. He doesn't try to be the moral police and turn the bad guys nice. He looks and talks cool. You cant ever guess what hes thinking or what hes aiming for which adds suspense.
And then in comes Touma with muh morals.
I just created a character named anon, he has no special abilities or physical capabilities whatsoever. Anon just got into a fight with Nonanon, who's power is the ability to always win. Nonanon lost the fight against anon because Nonanon accidentally used his special ability against himself and entered a paradox.
>"My sister is dead"
>I am going to take revenge because you killed my sister
>lol just kidding I faked the whole thing
>But I'm still legitimately angry because fuck you
Yeah, not one of Kamachi's better setups.
>Implying Archer isn't a bitch ass nigga
>You cant ever guess what hes thinking or what hes aiming for which adds suspense.
It's because the author doesn't reveal his thoughts, thought process as with MCs.
He was angry because they ruined his peace of mind in his daily life with that little maid. Now he has to constantly worry about her being assassinated now that he knows someone can easily target her. You can imagine this would be really fucking bad for him since he is constantly under stress in missions unlike Touma who just shows up at the end to punch someone and get a new girl.
If you really wanted to start an Index thread you could have just said so, rather than making bait...
>unlike Touma who just shows up at the end to punch someone and get a new girl.
You do know that he's been getting involved in shit nearly every week since his memory loss, right?
Accel's manga spoilers when???
>You do know that he's been getting involved in shit nearly every week since his memory loss, right?
And as far as we can tell Touma's having a blast giving his speeches every time.
Who cares if she doesn't believe in magic? You got dozens upon dozens of characters who don't believe in science, yet you love them for it. Fuck off.
