Think back to the very first year you watched anime.
What was your favorite anime then?
Ouran High School Host Club.
Yatterman (80's ver.)
Ummm... vampire hunter d? Maybe.
It was Voltron
Uchuu no Kishi Tekkaman Blade.
Holy shit that thing was so neat back in the days.
samurai pizza cats
yes im that old
Why do you need to remind me of those dark times?
Oh man, I feel sorry for you;_;
But yet you type like you're 12.
That's not so bad. What are you, around 30?
Are you me?
Naruto was great back then and this isn't just the nostalgia talking. It's heartbreaking to see it become progressively worse and worse over the years.
Fist of The North Star (the very first one).
Then my taste gets shittier as I grow up.
Probably Akira or Vampire Hunter D back in the late 80's/early 90's
>Fist of The North Star (the very first one).
>Then my taste gets shittier as I grow up
Fuck you must be about as old as I am. Wana talk about how cool the first gulf war was?
Kimba the white lion.
Re-watching this was much better than re-watching Sailor Moon.
Sometimes I forget that Czech and Slovak are now different country.
But they are the same ppl, right?
Iria: Zeiram the animation
I sometime forget Poland isn't communist state anymore.
Kinda like North and South Korea. Except there's no war going on, only bitterness.
ranma 1/2 and Dragon ball
Series or movie?
If series, The Big O.
If movie, the old Fox dub of Totoro.
Pic fucking related
2nd season was a waste with ken being beta while getting NTR'd by some cardboard cutout faggot when all he had to do was make a fucking move.
Also, Aoi is also the best trap in all anime
Good taste sir. Although I only had the OVAs when I first saw this show
A favorite is a favorite
Mai HiME. Still one of my favorites.
I remember when these premiered, damn I feel old.
Its probably Akira.
It was the only thing I had other than Power rangers and Kamen Rider back in the day.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. It still is my favorite.
I remember being so fired up to buy the DVDs of season 1 and 2, plus the OVAs and the movie for some crazy low price. It turns out they were chinese bootlegs with subtitles in broken english. I enjoyed the shit out of them anyways.
Ghost in the Shell. Still one of favorites. Pokemon was the VERY first, but I was too young to actually realize it was a Japanese anime.
Either zoids or love hina. Both were on CN around the same time when I was a kid and I loved them.
I guess pokemon counts too
Still the best
Why can't Kawasumi-san get more work? ;_;
Maybe the first Digimon. Not sure since I don't what all I watched back then
Crest/Banner of the stars and Blue Gender. I saw crest on g4 and blue gender on cartoon network.
I still enjoy watching all three of those to this day
It's still my favorite
BT'X, around 1999? I was in the 6th grade then.
YuYu Hakusho and Cardcaptor Sakura apparently...
Why does CCS have one of the best selections of OP themes?
CATCH YOU CATCH YOU CATCH ME CATCH ME MATTEEEEE
Can you imagine a fifth grader having a thing for Danderes?
I was really into Keroro
Naruto was never great, ever. Had some okay ideas here and there, but it's always been shitty shounen.
You're just letting nostalgia speak for you
>Naruto was never great, ever. Had some okay ideas here and there, but it's always been shitty shounen.
Zabuza arc was pretty fucking cool, m8.
Still one of my favorite scenes of all time. The anime ending was pretty nice too.
I can never forgive CLAMP for what they did to her in Reservoir Chronicles. Still mad to this day.
Please do not Bitch to me about the name. I know it's Macross, but back in the 80's is was Robotech.
Brother stole this DVD when he worked at a shipping company, I feel for the guy who paid for it as it was very good.
Yet to change at that.
The only good arc, really.
Dragonball/Z or Pokemon
Sailor Moon was one I'd watch but not tell anyone about. Think that's when I realized the "girl" type animes are wayyyy better. Like SOL or romantic anime. Dudes typically don't like it when you watch those. think ur homo
Nice rec thread OP.
This or Speed Racer.
But I also loved the movie Wicked City, Project Ako was great too.
I think a lot of us grew up with cartoon network showing DB... So there was that. The first time I ever watched all the way through something was Escaflowne. Shit has stuck with me forever.
Here's a joke: Why is Santa Claus so dumb?
It's cuz he's North Polish
