Will-chan is best girl. A victory for the Will is a victory for 20001 Misakas.

She's someone like Hyouka.
>>
>>100923647

It's Headband-chan in the upper left corner.

Between Othinus and the Will, it's going to be almost physically painful going back to Index and Misaka Original. And knowing Kamachi, Touma will stay silent about this whole thing and take it while they headcrab and biribiri him.

She's straightforward and sharp, but confident, honest, noble, insightful, reasonable, understanding, supportive, tender and genki on top of all that.

Genuinely cares for Touma's well being and his connections with the people close to him, so much that goes to talk to him the hard but most safe way, willing to risk her sense of self in order to help and motivate him out when she could've made it easier and make him fight for her.

It's been a long time since I fell in love with a character this quickly. Since her very first scene you can tell she's going to make a great impact.

Yeah, I guess so. Looking back, most of the characters interested in Touma are pretty pure. Most of them would blush and run away if he ever became forward enough to ask for anything like that.
>>
So now that the latest volume has been translated, does anyone have a better chance to win Touma (more than Biribiri)?
>>
>>100929254
Othinus is stronger than everybody Touma has ever fought, and is stronger than the Invisible Thing.

She could easily give "Touma" a power that works just like IB, but is really just an anti-magic right hand.

Who's the girl with long wet looking black hair and could do mind manipulation?
>>
>>100930578
I consider crawling into someone's (makeshift) bed and sleeping on top of them to be worse, but Lessar has been shown to do that simply because she wants to fuck to get him on England's side.

Birdway, being somewhat egotistical, could simply be treating him as an objectified servant, like how she handles Mark Space. It could simply be how she treats underlings as a whole, or at least her closer ones.

It's undoubted that she trusts him implicitly, but there really hasn't been many signs of her wanting to pursue him as a love interest, or really care for his overall well-being or convenience. I mean, she made a huge whole in his wall when he can barely afford to feed himself and Index.

Basically, I request clarification.

He's like one of those old NES games that have no continues. You lose once, you restart at the very beginning of the game. And he makes it to the final boss every time, only to get killed in one hit and sent back to start every time. And the game is hard as fuck. Like, harder than Castlevania. Harder than Ghosts n' Goblins.
>>
>They had repeated this tens of thousands of times, hundreds of thousands of times, and even millions of times.

At some point, Othinus has to wonder if it's worth it to continue doing the same thing each time. I can just imagine her saying "Fuck it, I don't want to kill you anymore" and just quit. I can now actually see her being happy about being protected by Touma once they get out of the loop simply because it's something different.

10,000 times my ass.

Wrong. This arc is the most impressive so far, just because of Touma and Othinus.
Also, Touma is the most interesting character in Raildex. Seriously, Hamazura and Accelerator are nice in their own but they aren't really that interesting, we already had enough of them. Touma is the MC for a reason. Accelerator and Hamazura had their time to shine, but that's over.

It's just a pity that you men started to suck Touma's dick hard just after lots of suffering having been experienced by him. Suffering doesn't make character a god you should worship. It doesn't make the story good either. You just started to think 'wow touma so cool so human i'd suck his dick come on baby.' When it was just a MC who suffered really too much for a real human then meet a girl and then stood up and struggled. When the real struggling, real feeling, real story and real characters did a very good job in 22 vol. THAT was a real story, really good plot, really nice and relevant suffering and char development. It's a pity that students respect such an inadequacy absurd and choose it over real books.

>Also, Touma is the most interesting character in Raildex. Seriously, Hamazura and Accelerator are nice in their own but they aren't really that interesting, we already had enough of them.
>Touma is the most interesting
No. That's some kind of wrong opinion. It's illusion. It's a decision based on your own preferences and tastes. Or Kamachi made you think like that with his much suffering, whatever. But let's make it clear, you don't have a right to decide which char are the best. It's just that Kamachi gives Touma much time to shine throwing him in pretty extreme situations. So we're forced to watch Touma experiencing shit. If it were another char or MC, things wouldn't turn less interesting. Personally, I still don't find Touma more interesting than other MC. I find them more interesting even after that volume. Because I understand what would they do and what would they obtain after that. They still have a way to go and shine, they are potential. But we're insisted that Touma is the best and most enjoyable BECAUSE he's a MC. Don't say shit like other's time to shine is over. Let's think of it, Touma wasn't so enjoyable in the forst NT volumes. But after we got some new NT volumes focused on him, we realized he is more interesting than we used to know. Hamazura and Accel are not worse than Toume. They just started to develop themselves. And it pisses me off that Kamachi doesn't give them even a small piece of time to shine.
>>
>>100938926
>Let's discuss Othinus's lovely voice.

shh, just let it happen
>>
>>100939096
When you think about it, it's actually pretty clever.

Touma's never mentioned this kind of thing about anything else. But with the revelation that he's been living through these worlds loop after loop, he's become hyperaware of Othinus, he knows everything about her physically at this point. She's the only thing that stays constant afterall.

Anime only viewers, I notice a lot. That might be to the fault of the anime not translating well from a novel. But It's not hard to see or appreciate what he's done, except they rule him out at the harem or call plot armour.

Anime Touma and LN Touma are different enough to be called totally different characters.

You do realize that they don't necessarily have to come from there?
They're mostly the same old trolls shitting up this place for years, with newfags joining in and parroting them as well. They just happen to shift the target of trolling and shitposting as they see it vulnerable and easy to get reactions. It started with the Railgun versus Index wars, later they realized that characters are better object of trolling, and they started with Shiage, then Mikoto, then Touma, then Mikoto again, etc.

The fuck are you on about? This is the first book that has the chance to be on par with or better than vol 22 (and WW3 in general). Most NTs were in the vol 14-19 range, barring NT3. This is based on the general reception here, pixiv/2ch activity, and fanbase reactions in general.

I personally loved NT4 , NT6 and NT7.

I like books with tighter narratives don't don't jump around from event to event too much. WW3 tried to keep everything between Accel, Hama and Touma too even and it ended up feeling too scattered at times.

No book is worse than NT3 in this regard, though.

I don't get why people are so defensive about it, honestly. I mean sure, most complaints we receive are retarded, but lets be honest; Raildex isn't the end-all best written shit in the worl. BUt you know what? it's interesting and enjoyable enough that I can suspend my disbelief a bit and roll with it on the few questionable parts.

Just because a series has flaws doesn't mean it is automatically ruined or something.
>>
>>100944199

>>
>>100944396

There was a golden age of Raildex, where we were getting translations constantly (massive amount of material to cover). Everything was great, we used to laugh at trolls. We survived the general genocide because we were productive as fuck compared to other generals. We were considered the "/tg/ of /a/" at that time.

Everything went to shit for a while because we ran out of shit to translate and had to wait for months on end to get a new novel. People got bored, mass trolling ensued. Certain characters were treated like shit.

Then, for whatever fucking reason, we managed to turn it around and become relatively decent again. That is what you see today.

That image in particular was a big turning point. I guess it hit too close to home, and people got tired of the constant shit flinging.
>>
>>100944682
It's probably because we only start generals when we have something worth talking about these days. Once the heat from NT9 and Railgun 67 dies down, we should have a bit under a month of silence before the next chapter's out. As long as there's no general, there won't be much worth trolling.

Not even that. The shitposting would continue into the archives during that period. It was awful, no running away from it, not waiting to let shit simmer down. It was constant bullshit, regardless if there was a thread on /a/ or not. It didn't help that it took fucking forever between novels at that time. Like a 7 month gap with no new Raildex material aside from Railgun manga, and guess what? Railgun is intrinsically related to Mikoto, so it would invite mass shitposting from those band of retards whose sole mission was to shit on Mikoto at all costs. That's why the start of >>100944117 featured a guy going batshit about Mikoto when someone mentioned the Railgun Manga. That is extremely accurate of the threads back then, along with the heap of shit that followed as a chain reaction.
>>
>>100944682
The golden era started way earlier than that. It started with the Railgun anime and the scanlations of the manga here, and the novelfags would spoil us about the novel content, which generated even more discussion.
>>
>>100945082

Any popular series will get its share of decent MADs.

Index is insanely popular in Japan so it attracts quite a bit of attention. It's only natural that it would have some good MADs.

During Railgun S's run, there was practically a new MAD every day. Though it kind of died down some once the Silent Party arc started.

>>
>>100945185
Of course there is no use crying over spilled milk, but coming back and seeing that amount of shitposting in those threads was just disgusting really. I left /a/ when the whole 'General' shitstorm was going on in March/April 2011 thanks to I think Taiga and that group of retards. Coming back, almost of the threads were derailed with one form of shitposting or another. My overall interest in Raildex started to wane because of it as well because there wasn't anywhere to discuss it really (>Implying MAL, Animesuki)

I think there reason this wouldn't work is because as a multi-side character, there would probably be too much overlap with Touma. He'd really just be a lesser Touma in a way, because nothing he'd deal with could ever be on the same scale as what Touma deals with.
>>
>>100947074

Jesus Christ
>>
>>100947090
I think being a multi-side character gives him plenty of room for adventures we know nothing about. Of course nothing is going to be on the same scale as Touma, but if you couldn't have spinoffs that weren't, there would be no spinoffs. Tsuchimikado also has the ability to do secret agent stuff that Touma would never be involved in.

>>
>>100947280
Science Side characters get some leeway because Touma doesn't get involved in Science stories quite as often. That why Accelerator and Mikoto work to some extent.

The problem is that Tsuchimikado's not as important as any of them. He can't get involved in any of the deeper shit like Level 6 or the Sisters, but he also can't get involved with higher tier Magic Side stuff because as an Esper who can't use magic all that often, he's just ill-equipped for that sort of thing. He's a spy first-and-foremost, so most of his role will be information-gathering. He'd be a pretty shitty spy if he got involved in fights to the death on a regular basis.

The biggest issue is that unlike Touma, Accelerator and Mikoto, he's a "professional". Unless Maika were involved, he's unlikely to ever let his emotions get swayed. He won't rage or go berserk. He'll just calmly and coolly eliminate any obstacles with levelheaded precision.

From the way Kamachi prefers to focus on "amateur" characters and emotional characters like Stiyl and Kanzaki, he doesn't seem to be very interested in exploring the "professional" side of the world.

Tsuchimikado's professionalism would also keep him from getting emotionally attached to other characters, which would probably severely stunt character relationships and development.
>>
>>100941656
I think the mental ages are around this:
1st: Othinus
2nd: Kamijou Touma (including pre-amnesia)
3rd: Will
4th: Touma (post-amnesia)
5th: Kreutune
6th: Ladylee
>>
>“If I had to guess…” Kamijou finally spoke. “I’d say the software that manipulates the living and dead is based on the Einherjar spell. The spell was only able to move dead bodies without them rotting, but she must have updated it to its perfect form with the lance or something.”

>Elsewhere, even in that world where everyone had obtained absolute happiness, a certain sister-in-training felt a chill go down her spine, as if the position that she had barely desperately managed to cling onto all this time had finally slipped out of her grasp forever...
>>
>>100947588
NT7 kind of proves the last bit wrong, but then again that was a look at what happens when Tsuchimikado is emotional. Though what he does is because he cares for his friends and Maika hence why he doesn't want them to get involved.
>>
>>100948489
As stated, that's only when Maika's involved.

Do you honestly believe that Maika's gonna be put in danger that often? If Tsuchimikado lost his shit so frequently, he'd be a shit tier spy.

When it starts being good.

Honestly, the Silent Party MMRs have been pretty boring.

>“See you in the original world, Kamijou-chan /return.”

Komoe and Will-tan are the same person. Discuss.

>The series is only halfway over...

I can only imagine how much more suffering Touma will have to endure before this is finished...

Kamachi writes the setting. We might be called the Raildex General but we're actually Kamachiland in disguise.

Accel's manga spoilers fucking WHEN
>>
>>100951354
Why do you care so much? It's not like anything particularly intriguing has happened yet. Wait on baited breath when we're actually in the middle of a climactic cliffhanger or something.
>>
>>100951409
Why can't I be just fucking excited for new Accel's manga chapter? Maybe it's so alien to wait for spin-off manga for many of you people sitting here and discussing REAL things that are happening in the new novel. But I do give a fuck about this main character, his loli, fucking new girl and so on. I'm interested as fuck and it would be frustrating if people abandon smth I'm looking forward to. I just want to get my fucking spoilers.

So I was reading parts of this using google translate and this came up.

>Thanks to the loop to "remember death" many times, I remember breathing Othinus, smell, the thought patterns ... all anymore! So it is possible to also avoid attacks Othinus!

So I guess there was a reason Touma kept talking about her smell. Who would have though it was to get inside the head of a girl named Orthinus and understand her enough to avoid her attacks.
>>
>She used an invisible power to split that impudent boy’s top half from the bottom half.

Who is better, Tou or Ma?
>>

Touma is greater than the sum of his parts.

Christ what kind of power is Mikoto drawing in. That thing looks more dangerous than Accelerators atmospheric plasma attack.
>>
>yfw it is Crowley who comes out to stop this
>yfw Laura and Necessarius can't detect him because he is in his own turf, his temple filled with the mysterious power known as AIM
>>
>Didn’t a certain girl’s labyrinth possess both the power and nature needed to accomplish that?
Whose labyrinth is this referring to?
>>
>>100955431 New thread, apparently.
