How do you all watch bakemonogatari?
It seems hard to read the subs and focus all that's constantly going on in the animation at the same time.
Do you rewatch it and focus on the animation then, or is the animation never really that important at all?
You have the ability to pause.
I use my peripheral vision
I actually have the same problem with Tatami Galaxy. I sometimes use pause so that I do not spend all the time reading but can also enjoy the art.
i'm not a fucking pleb
Next you're going to tell me you have to go back and pause to read the single frame screens?
Am I being trolled again?
Option 1: learn to speed read subs
Option 2: learn Japanese
Option 1.5: learn enough Japanese that you can skim the subs and still follow what's going on
I just keep going. All the flashing messages across the screen don't actually add anything that can't be determined by the next scene.
This. You can pause if you have to. Or rewatch the scene as much as you want to pay attention to different details. Shaft likes to cram frames with all sorts of stuff you can't be expected to retain in one go.
What are the single frame scenes anyway?
What do they actually mean. Sometimes it just says black scene or red scene which doesn't make sense.
The slides they intend for you to read stay on for more than half a second. For the ones that go really fast, I just get a glimpse of the sentence and figure it out from there.
>Babby's first SHAFT production
They use it as a transition from scene to scene.
Ignore the flashing messages.
Stop it guys, you're making me feel inferior. Madoka didn't have this stuff.
In Bake kizumonogatari was retold by fast action scene and flashing screens, also in the beginning of Hachikuji's arc MC's vision abilities were explained by two fast frame too . They are not completely useless. Although in Nise and Mono S2 they indeed didn't bring anything new.
RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK
Easy, you just watch it 10 times.
Yes it did.
Pause every 2 seconds
read all the anime
It's not exactly deep. It's more like pseudo deep.
>Mono S2 they indeed didn't bring anything new
From what I know, they hint at what happened to Kaiki's love interest.
I keep my finger on the pause button for every flashing part, and no you can't skip them.
>Not using space
>Implying that's not what I meant
To add, the flashing parts are often straight up writing of the characters' thoughts, which are difficult to adapt from LN format to anime format. I can't say I love it, but it does allow Shaft to not cut out as much as they'd normally have to.
Get some reading comprehension. It's not different with any other subbed show.
Be careful when you watch SZS.
Wonder where I can get those phone backgrounds for my phone
Any idea anons
just chope the screenshots
Yeah, something along the lines of Option 1.5 there works well for me. Let eyes focus towards center screen and glance down for particularly long or complicated lines.
Hotkey framestep for being autistic as fuck about reading all the signs/stillframe/typesetting first time watching the SZS franchise.
