I bring you chapter 1 of "Little Boy," a very bad manga that no one should read. Not even a good kind of bad, just crap.
Story: Mamoru Sasaki
Art: Mitsuru Adachi
I like to speculate that this is the manga that made Adachi think "Heck, even I can do better than this!" and begin to write his own stories, with great results.
It will take a while to post all 56 pages, so come back in an hour or so.
>Mitsuru Adachi baseball manga
Now this is a rarity.
He didn't write it though. Just did the art for the story. There are about 5 or 6 such series out there where he just did the art.
It was also very early in his career, so he hadn't developed his SAMEFACE yet.
I'm not a fan of this font.
Except the weird 'i' I rather like it. I like to experiment with lots of different fonts, and I have a soft spot for lowercase.
Here's the link to a zip, btw

Put the . where appropriate.
The cute monkey ears were already there tough.
I can't imagine this manga features very prominently on Adachi's resume.
Wut. Who the hell decides to pee down a hill?
Someone with a public peeing fetish? It's always the sensible-looking ones.
I don't think I've ever seen a manga go so completely crazy and shit so quickly. I'm almost impressed.
I hate to say I told you so, but...
This kid is a beast.
Does he actually say "Let's go" in English, like a pun on his name?
Yes, he does.
Is public urination going to be a recurring theme throughout?
Yes. It becomes their 'thing.'
Hahaha, what a moron.
You can't have a sports manga without an induced handicap.
That guy has been up to bat at least twice already, and not only has he managed to not score, he is only now realizing that the pitcher is throwing the same exact fast ball with the same exact timing every throw.
They're both retarded.
It's worse than that, because from >>100911537 we realize that he's been watching him pitch for even longer than that. If you watch a guy pitch that long and can't tell he throws the same fastball every singe time, you deserve to lose.
THE END ... of chapter one, but it only gets dumber from here.
Let's pretend it ended here. And they all lived happily ever after.
I hope you guys will remember this series next time you're tempted to idolize Mitsuru Adachi.
Why criticize the artist for the writer's flaws?
Adachi did well when he wrote and drew his own series.
That's true, I guess. And I guess as a young starving artist, he had to accept whatever work he got to pay the bills. I mean, at least this isn't porn, right?
S-so is everything translated or just this chapter?
Greatest love story ever told.
This page is absolutely amazing. Especially the way she's collapsed to her knees and clutching his arm.
This is the cheese I love.
Just this chapter. I'm not masochistic enough to do any more. The other chapters are identical anyway: one or two peeing scenes, a rival, a match, Gou trains and wins.
"We watched each other pee, now I'll follow you till I die!" put every other love confession to shame.
