just finished this and was wondering why it was the best thing i've ever read
Because you like terrible twists.
Because you've never read a real book in your life.
Seriously though, I enjoyed it, but you're a special kind of moron.
because you actually have good taste, unlike most of /a/
>shitty twist is the best thing ever
>being a faggot
If not liking that cop-out of a twist (that doesn't make sense either, mind you; Why would Maou give up just because Kyousuke fell in love with someone?) makes me a faggot, then I'll gladly be one.
Daily reminder that VNs are literally the lowest form of Japanese media in existence.
Possibly even the lowest form of media in general.
Only retards think VNs are well written. There's a reason the the text has to be accompanied by shitty art and music.
It's like the worst features of novels, movies, anime and video games were taken and blended into a shit-shake.
Drink on, /jp/sies. Maybe someday you'll learn.
Best ending in visual novels. Jesus the emotional manipulation was downright evil but worth it.
VNs have by far the highest potential of any medium, though. They're basically books with additional elements to drag you deeper into the story.
Sure, there are a lot of poorly written VNs out there, but there are plenty worth playing through.
Music and voice acting can add a lot to a story, especially music. Books lack that.
But the twist isn't really the best part of the story, the characters and ending are what made G-Senjou so great. The twist was kinda sub-par, while Maou's a good character, it didn't start getting real foreshadowing until like halfway through and it made it pretty obvious who Maou actually was.
>VNs have by far the highest potential of any medium, though
Not in the least. The whole point of a book is that you create the imagery, sounds, music, etc. It is entirely a product of you interpreting the text.
VNs subvert textual purity by adding superfluous distractions that cause it to be a half-aborted artwork.
I suppose a decent VN could be made, but so far, even the "best of the best" that fans have suggested are mediocre at best, and I can only conclude that VN fans are shit-eating morons.
Please kill yourself.
It might be that you're just not a fan of the typical tragic love story style that most Japanese work tends to boil down to. What have you played?
>Has never even read Soukou Akki Muramasa
Stay mad pleb.
>people not understanding a shit about the plot
Why would the author spoil the biggest twist in a fucking side route?
It's obvious that twist was thought for Haru's route only.
Besides, while I agree it's muddled, there were few foreshadowings during the routes, and questions like then what about the headaches? are retarded, since they wereheadaches. Never got one of them? Kyousuke was always under pressure, it's not so strange for him to suffer of migraine
Some prefer a more complete anc concrete experience, others prefer to imagine everything like you.
Because you haven't read YU-NO yet
