How come I have been browsing /a/ for years and never see ANYONE ever mention One Outs?

I don't know anything about it except from my forum times years years ago when lots of people claimed it was "like Death Note but with Sport".

So...what do you think of it /a/non?
>>
How about you lurk more? One Outs gets plenty of mention and you'd know it if you really had been here for years.
>>
because /a/ only cares about shitty nostalgia shit and flavor of he season shit
>>
>>100862084
Nope, browsing here since 2009. I don't remember particular threads about it and I've been using the 4chan browser for years; I would know if there was a thread.
>>
>>100862024
Because Nobody wins but I
>>
We do have occasional threads but don't expect them to reach more than 20 posts at best.

You haven't been lurking enough.

Yep. Best sub group I've seen too.

Everyone was gay for Toua back then.
>>
I guess it's because it's so similar to Akagi but Akagi is much better. Still it's pretty good.

Hahahaha.
>>
>been here since 2009

OP, they were seriously some of the most fun I've had on /a/ and you missed them.
>>
One Outs anime was pretty good; had me in the edge of my seat almost every episode. It's easily my favorite out of the Masato Hagiwara three (Kaiji and Akagi).

Shame that the manga isn't fully translated (only translated from when the anime ended until the end). Would've loved to read 'em all in one go.

Also, that motherfucking towel. Anybody has that faggy screenshot?

There were plenty of One Outs threads when it was airing. Hell, I bought the soundtrack and ripped it for the One Outsbros here because the usual groups weren't doing it.

But I love One Outs and people talk about it all the time in FKMT threads and 3x3 threads

Anime is often an ad for the source material, if the source material is over there's no more reason to make a show about it.
>>

You could read the scanlation now that's finished.
>>
One Outs isn't popular enough to get its own threads, but people talk it about it in baseball threads and fukomoto/kaiji threads

Plus its seinen and /a/ mostly likes shit made for teenage kids or 30 year old otakus
>>

>I wonder if Vendetta are going to go back and fill in the gaps.
Answered my own question. They've put it in their completed projects.

Could be worse.

Tokuchi and Akagi gamble against each other, who wins?

/a/ watching it.
>>
>>100867032
Tokuchi, Akagi, Zero and Akiyama have a 4 way gamble. Who wins?
>>
>>100867356
Zero is irrelevant. Change him with Kaiji and we have something interesting going on.
>>
fucking lurk more.
>>
>>100867356
No idea who Akiyama is but Zero is easily the weakest of the other 3
>>
>>100867356
zero without giass?
>>
>>100867431
Kaiji would destroy everyone else. Kaiji is the only one who can really fake his own emotions and actions to trick the other characters' psychoanalyses attempts.
>>
>>100867628
Shit I laughed.

>>100867551
He's the MC from One Out's authors other gambling manga.

>>100867431
Yeah I would think that Zero is pretty weak compared to the others. Kaiji though is a whole different kind of gambler and that would be cool as shit, but I don't know if I can imagine him winning
>>
>>100867356
Is Akagi young or old?
>>
>>100867705
>>100867773
Kaiji with preptime can be very powerful. As the underdog, he'd win. Whenever he is in that position, he generally does.
>>
The first watch it is rly good never thought baseball to be this interesting
>>
>>100867889
At his strongest, so young.

>>100867907
But Akagi never loses when he's youg
>>
>>100868005
I actually started watching MLB games after seeing One Outs. Obviously there's not the same level of strategic depth as in the show, but its still really interesting, and I don't usually like watching pro sports.
>>
>>100862024
Baseball!Akagi, like all forms of Akagi, is awesome.
>>
>>100868035
Akagi hasn't been tested like Kaiji has.
>>
>>100868113
Me too. That and many people from my country play in one particular team. Watched one season and was totally hooked with that team.

Last year they were incredibly disappointing, though.
>>
>>100867773
But all Akagi and Toua are is good cheaters and good readers of the human character. Kaiji is a good gambler.

Maybe I just want him to win because he always does his best.

You should start. Yankees just signed a guy from Japan in one of the biggest pitcher contracts ever. And get this.. he was undefeated last year with a 24-0 record and a 1.27 ERA, plus he's a tricky/strategic player who mainly relies on his fastball.

I can see it now. 2 and a half episodes dedicated to this one box. He thinks of ever possible solution he can to try and raise his chances of winning, but then this accursed box shows up. SHIKASHII. SHIKAASHII. ZAWA ZAWAS etc for 40+ minutes of Kaiji crying.

Not in this case, the game is skill based but occasionally there are times when you have to take a chance.
>>
>>100869447
>Implying baseball is not interesting
>>
>>100869362
Tokuchi buys the team after he took all of the previous owners money. after that he made the team's paycheck depend on a vote done by the audience; and if they didn't win the game the ticket was free and the team didn't get paid.

Was motivating.

The last few games the mariners figured out how to beat tou's trick and could consistently hit home runs off of him; but he decided to keep on playing and destroy his ERA to win the last game. And when he won the last game he just disappeared without a word.

Started watching one outs a couple weeks ago, but I'm only 6 episodes in and struggling. It's kind of shitty, and by kind of shitty I mean very shitty. Probably going to drop it soon.

I love baseball, it's my favorite sport, probably why I think this is so shit, baseball doesn't work that way.

And while on the topic, I also hated ookiku whatever the fuck that was called, loved Major and cross game, and H2 and Touch were pretty good as well. Ace of Diamond is average.
>>
It's Akagi with baseball.
