when does it get good?
When loli appears.
When they say raison d'être .
gets only worse
There are like three good episodes in the whole show.
Just drop it.
It doesn't, really. Not even Pino could save it.
It doesn't. The only reason why you would want to continue is to see more Pino, even then, sadly, there isn't very much Pino to see.
Waste of Amy Lee design.
It goes downhill the moment they leave the dytopian cyberpunk setting and start traveling around the world. i.e never.
It's not very good, should only be watched to have a measuring post to judge other DEEP anime by.
It could have been saved but the last episode was shit.
And apparently all important info dump happens in a terrible jeopardy episode which I skipped.
Serves you right
Nope, it just crawls deeper
the end is good. worth reaching IMO.
Don't believe him OP, just drop it.
When you get good taste.
when you understand your reason for existence
or when you start watching it for pino
My favorite episode was a filler episode. Drop this shit now.
>Not liking the, "I am Batman!!" ending
are you serious?
also Raul just wanted to see Pino again
It's one of those anime that you can't really enjoy if you don't think it throughly.
But the end is shittily executed
>It's one of those anime that you can't really enjoy if you don't think it throughly.
Except there's nothing to think about, and everything is clearly dumped onto you during the Game Show episode.
I liked the one where they're stranded on the land sailboat.
That's all I can remember.
You were supposed to understand the message before that episode though.
That's why EP had to be watched when it aired
Fuck you OP, I loved this anime,
It's one of the few that do a good dystopian cyberpunk setting.
How about no?
I watched 3 episodes but haven't found the motivation to continue.
The Game Show episode was for the people too slow to figure out what the fuck was going on.
It was cyberpunk for like 3 eps before dropping it and going full DEEP
There were some several key plot points that were mentioned only on the game show ep, tho.
Isn't that the anime where Radiohead eats raisins?
Thank you guys, I'm going to fucking drop this shit now.
watch some gintama instead
>when does it get good?
is that a new Evanescence album?
>Deciding what you watch and what you drop based on other people's opinion
>actually dropping anime
It was still a cyberpunk setting, it was just more a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk setting outside of the City.
It barely had any cyberpunk elements after they left the city.
You really don't know jack about cyberpunk and dystopian settings do you?
Enough to know that post-apocalyptic and cyberpunk aren't the same thing.
Aw fuck. I remember skipped that episode.
It only goes downhill.
>A dystopia is a community or society that is in some important way undesirable or frightening. It is the opposite of a utopia. Such societies appear in many artistic works, particularly in stories set in a future. Dystopias are often characterized by dehumanization, totalitarian governments, environmental disaster, or other characteristics associated with a cataclysmic decline in society.
>Barely had any cyberpunk elements
Wait, what? Leaving the City didn't suddenly make the genre of 'dystopian cyberpunk' change.
Am i the only one who really enjoyed it ? To be fair it was my first experience into deep anime and before it i only watch gateway animes like naruto.
Seriously, why would anyone skip an ep other than the recaps on shitty shounen shows?
>black and blue
Dark like my soul
It's no longer a cyberpunk "setting" if you're in the middle of a desert. In fact it's not even a dystopia. They're just in the middle of nowhere doing nothing with no-one.
>Decline of society
I don't understand the problem.
That is not the definition of cyberpunk.
It is the definition of dystopia.
No, but they dropped most of the elements of what people associate with "cyberpunk" until the finale.
I liked it at first but the 2-3 pointless joke episodes and the ending ruined it for me.
If I remember correctly I only skipped that episode because I thought it was a recap. I usually don't skip episodes.
Same here. It got me into anime and is still one of my favorites.
>Someone says how the show drops most of the cyberpunk elements
>Reply with a definition of dystopia instead.
A big part of the series was supposed to be about introspection and the developing relationship between the two protagonists.
One of them is still a genetically contrived monstrosity, they're flying between failed Cities on a cyber boat, and have a loli android dressed in some kind of animal suit. We also got to see what was going down in the City while the protagonists were elsewhere, yeah it would have been cool if they spent more time in it.
But it was still a good series.
It was ok. My favorite episode was the girl with a smile.
You're an idiot.
are you really discussing about a Manglobe series? Like, really?
It ends, eventually. That's pretty decent of it.
literally the worst show I've ever watched to completion, only good part is Pino
>not knowing /a/ loves gintama
i loved simply for the soundtrack, although Pino was awesome
>/a/ is a single person
I know many people in /a/ likes Gintama, but I do know that MAL loves it more.
