How would you fix MangaUpdates? It seems like it's just going downhill recently.
Move the server to somewhere outside the US, replace the retarded staff that removes series for stupid reasons, change the layout.
How has it been going downhill apart from removing groups' websites?
The only feature I'd like to see is per-series RSS feeds but I already use a script for that so it's not that big of a problem.
Bring back lurk.
what is the name of the script
It's just a simple script I wrote myself.
It used to even have a link to where you could get each release, which was pretty nice since I'm tired of having to lookup random groups that want me to sign up to their forum to dl their garbage.
Download links were removed years ago. Hardly something that happened recently.
>tfw staff can't differentiate between doujinshi and official stuff even though there's a publisher listed
wish it was brought back
For some reason, officially published comic anthologies aren't allowed.
Why? Because fuck you, that's why.
Why do people feel the need to even use the site? Seems pointless.
mostly it's because there's already a publisher section
but even then
site is a very good database for finding manga.
It's the best thing we have for a scanlation database.
How many series do you follow? Serious question.
Not that Anon, but I usually end up picking up something interesting, then fall into despair after finding out the last translation was released like 2 years ago, and then forget about it.
here ya go http://kickass.to/domdomsoft-manga-downloader-5-0-9-keygen-t7752859.html
domdom is terrible. fmd is better
I was referring to tribute comic anthologies that are done by various artists.
>Azumanga Tribute Anthology
>Shin Megami Tensei Anthology
How so? From the screenshots, it looks like a clone.
It's open-source, though, so if it's being updated frequently I'll use it.
>tfw no good local tea shop near me
Living in northern Florida is suffering.
Whoops, 4chanX messed up.
Free Manga Downloader
I'm checking it out now. It has Batoto as a source for free, so it seems pretty good. I've yet to test it because, but let me give it a try with Billy Bat...
This program also has auto-updates, and yes, it does feel like a clone of Domdomsoft.
The search function also works much better. It does a "search contains" with live update as you type, rather than making you type in the first few letters. There are also manga covers shown.
Checking selected chapters at first seemed a bit problematic if you wanted to, say, download chapters 500-800 or a manga. It seems you just highlight, then hit the "check" button, then hit "check" in the menu.
Download speed seems great, especially with my slow internet I have right now. I recommend it over going through the hassle of cracking it and possibly running into issues with updates, updating sources.
