So what did you all think of this? I think it was pretty fun.
so_boring.jpg, but seriously, i like it.
It was fun and boring at the same time for me. But I still like it.
Let me take a wild guess: it sold like shit, right?
Probably, i dont look at the sales thread much.
I enjoyed it, but found the ending a big let-down.
Bored me so much that couldn't stop watching it
Loved it. Frogbro arc had me in bitch tears. Characters were all wonderful.
Reasons why Uchouten Kazoku is soo good.
1.The novel was already one of the top 5 most selling novel in Japan.
2.It actually has a good story.
3.The animation quality is awesome. (Although, the ears look weird)
4.It's somewhat close to a seinen series, meaning it appeals to those with a higher intelligence
I don't even see how it was boring.
Yes it was dialogue heavy, but shit actually happened every episode.
>mfw when Uchouten Kazoku is the only good anime this year
Why is this year of anime so shit?
Nothing but moeshit, fujoshit, ecchishit & shounenshit.
At least there is one saving grace this year.
inb4 Kill la Shit faggots try to convince me otherwise
UK is deep and sophisticated. You don't really see that in anime these days.
It's like we are back in the 90's.
Fuck, I have a tear in my eye. It's a good feeling.
wow i just saw the last episode it was was fantastic.
the symbolism during scenes, the deep story.
i don't think ive been this intellectually stimulated since madoka.
along with aku no hana, it's the 2013 best anime
I will just re-watch this anime every day because every other anime this year is pandering shit that is unworthy of my attention.
Why can't Japan produce something that isn't moeshit, pandering, or fighting for manchilds?
I really liked it. Extremely fun and the story was well-written.
Though I do wish, the story concentrated on the blue haired girl a bit more. For a slut, she kinda made the series more interesting with her devilish touch.
Is this some kind of pasta?
Six Feet Under: Japanese Folklore Edition
>blue haired girl
Do you mean Benten? Her hair was more lavender then blue. But yeah, it would have been nice to have more focus on her, but the show was about the tanukis not her.
So does Benten win or did the anime stop at the LN ending
Even a good 6 months after it aired it's still getting baited, apparently.
Have a Kaisei.
I hope Benten doesn't really win anything. Kinda like MC's rite of passage. I kinda miss the MC transforming into different forms.
>I’m watching K-ON! It’s empty.
>It has no gags, no nonsense, no humor, no ero, no guro and no story, nothing. It’s nothing but petty fetishism.
>Is reality so unpleasant for the people making and watching this show?
>It’s the same sort of grotesqueness you see at a maid cafe.
Why is he so based?
I think the anime only covered the first of 3 novels. She looks like she'll win though.
Welp, i meant this scene, not that the series is boring for me.
The anime follows the LN to a T, so Yasaburou and Benten's relationship is left as we see it.
I dunno if it would actually work out cause, well he's a tanuki but who knows. The author is apparently still working on writing the sequel so maybe one way.
Best Girl. Kind hearted, caring and sassy in bed.
It's sad when a good show comes out everyone ignores it.
No one buys it and no one even talks about it.
Soon no one will make these shows.
Moe has turned us into drones. We no longer look for good stories, well developed characters, etc. All we want is instant satisfaction.
WE should be ashamed of ourselves, look at what we have become. We are grown men watching girls eat cake and other meaningless activities.
Whats even worse is that the people behind these shows are YOU. They are obese otaku making pander fodder for themselves.
You are consuming entertainment for the lowest of the low, the scum of the earth.
Moe is killing anime. No, Moe has killed anime.
Is that you?
Why are you misattributing quotes?
I liked it but I didn't think it was that good
The ending disappointed me a bit but that's really only because the build up had been great until then.
That was my opinion of K-On. And I LIKE SoLs.
You will never, Que Sera Sera again
Well, she's bored with life and he likes things that are exciting; they have great chemistry. Just the whole part where she might possibly want to kill and eat him that's getting in the way.
The anime really did a good job of making her fascinating, and I mean that in all senses of the word.
How they put the whole series over SEVEN blu-rays is terrible and jew-y of you Bandai Visual.
Isn't that normal?
I watched it for Benten, MC, and old tengu guy. The first episodes were great. The family just didn't entertain me enough. The rival were bland but the but I guess the rival family's daughter was a character. But then it's the eccentric family not sluts, traps, and tengus.
I feel its excessive for a 13 episode series.
The ending was my biggest complaint as well. Especially how they were shown being buddy-buddy with the twins at the end. Who the hell makes friends with people who attempted to kill you and your family?
UK is supposed to be a trilogy, but only one book is written yet so obviously there are still things to focus on.
That's just their idiot blood doing its thing
One thing I forgot to mention was the soundtrack. It's pretty good.
It's a novel. Not a light novel, a novel.
I feel like the whole eating thing wasn't who Benten really was inside. You could tell through the entire series, she felt a lot of guilt about having been the one to eat Yasaburo's father (cause she obviously had feelings for Yasaburo herself too)
I think her "eating things she loves" was apart of her misplacement of trying to find happiness and fullfillment. She thought using their Sensei, throwing him away and joining the Friday Fellows would make her happy. Having all that power and influence, and yet we learn she cried to the well Frogbro was in all the time. If you "destroy" the things you love, when you have nothing left to love (which I think is shown well with the Professor who couldn't eat Mamatanuki in the end after all his talk)
So, Benten was able to see what she really needed, which was being in that tiny room with everything around the kotatsu just having fun and feeling loved. That's what she really wanted.
It reads line a LN.
Yeah, I know. I slipped up there in my reply.
The twins weren't ever really evil, just idiots following their father's orders.
The twins are retards.
They just did what their father told them.
Yeah, I really liked that bit about the Professor completely going back on his ideology. Which admittedly was a pretty dumb and contradictory ideology to begin with, but it's nice he figured it out in the end.
If it doesn't get another season (which I'm sure it won't) I'll just keep at my moon studies, I'd like to be able to see where this goes.
So what kind of demon was the head of the Friday Fellows? Kinda implied he had powers and that he knew what Tanuki were.
Does the MC end up with his not-fiance or Benten?
They were still aware that following their father's orders would get the Shimogamo family killed, yet still went through with it. I didn't expect them to have the balls to stand up to their father, but I could have forgiven them if they simply 'accidentally' let Yasaburou and the others go.
Did they really know their father's plan was to kill everyone? Only the little sister knew their father's real intentions. I always thought the twins thought they were just messing with them cause, family rivalry and all that.
I may be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure they were at least vaguely aware of what their father was doing. Perhaps I need to rewatch it.
It was okay. Liked the background porn and characters. Didn't care for kiddy philosophy and ending was disappointing.
I wonder how well the series did in Japan. I know the BDs didn't sell crazy, but I think it did well in ratings? I heard they re-aired the show last season at a better time slot, and the city of Kyoto did help fund the show some.
But I guess it doesn't matter unless the author finally writes those sequels.
I heard that guy is a reoccurring character in all of Morimi Tomihiko's stories? I think he showed up in Tatami Galaxy (obviously looked different) too.
And we don't know who he ends up with yet, but it will probably be Benten.
>Kaisei in the background
What madness is this
Makes perfect sense, the MC is looking away after all.
