How does /a/ feel about Darker than Black?
Just finished and was disappointed there wouldn't be any more.
A shame there was never a second season.
There was a second season...
Nope, there wasn't.
I have no idea what you're talking about anon
Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini
Does /a/ like to pretend this doesn't exist or something?
Pretend what doesn't exist? There was no second season
It's just an epik may-may, like the one about Tsukihime adaptation.
Suou is best girl.
Compare season one to the Non-existant season two. The drop in quality is just that astounding.
Have you watched Gaiden?
I liked the OP to Gemini of the Meteor.
I like the UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ
>like the one about Tsukihime adaptation.
Hey, everyone loves Carnival Phantasm
Fuck what everyone thinks, the story was going nowhere until Shou came along. Russian Redhead > Chinese Electric Batman
I liked it slightly more than the first.
I specifically liked how episodes were self-contained instead of 2-episode arcs and the story didn't feel the need to overly explain shit. No character overstayed their welcome; some were taken too early (RIP burger kun). A lot of serious shows could benefit from faster storytelling, and DtB S1 is no exception--I didn't see nearly as many people drop the second season instead of the first out of boredom or "never getting around to finishing."
It was a good blend of old and new characters, most of them solid, with the flatter ones killed or fucking off at a healthy pace. Also Suou is way more interesting than Yin, suck it yinfags, etc.
It had its flaws but I consider it good for what it was trying to do--make more DtB that felt fresh rather than a milking or a re-hash.
Fuck Suou and fuck Yin. I was watching the whole thing for Chinese electric Batman and came out disapointed
Even without the electric he was still chinese batman.
More like Drunken child beating chinese hobo. He does get better at the end, but at that point he rarely appears, as Suou gets the focus.
