I just finished and i know most of /a/ loves it (i see it all day in 3x3 threads) but everybody hates Togame right?
It depends on whether she was being truthful about the whole "I was going to kill you" thing
I like to think that she wasn't and that was her way of setting him free. Is it pretty controversial?
I love Togame.
I don't think she wanted to tell him the truth in the end, so she framed it in a way that would hurt them both the least.
I... Can't actually bring myself to do that.
Everyone hates the blonde girl though right?
>Hating best girl
What's wrong with you?
Sorry, the onee-san best grill.
I don't...I don't even get what happened. When was it ever said that she liked him?
I like Togame but don't hate Hitei like most of the dense faggots who watched this show.
I don't hate her but she's far from best girl
The ones who failed at revenge...
The ones who failed at their goals...
The ones's who fell before achieving their aspirations...
The ones who didn't succeed...
The ones who lost...
The ones who stumbled...
The ones who rotted...
The ones who fought with all their mind, sacrificed everything, just to have their work be for naught, yielding fruitless results, who died unfairly, or perhaps illogically, tragically, without face, full of regrets...
The story which offers a happy future for them, filled with hopes and dreams...
Katanagatari quietly lowers its curtains here.
I don't hate any of the girls.
I don't really hate any of the characters, actually. Except Penguin, because he was such a fucking cowardly bitch, and he died like a bitch promptly; this is a credit to how good Katanagatari was.
The hermit was almost best girl... That was weird.
Warning: Spoiler ahead
I loved Togame, until she said her death speech; but then I listened to it again and it made sense. That is, what kind of person she was, how Shichika changed her as a person (she fell in love). I felt the anime didn't do a good enough job of displaying her heartless aspect in the first place which is why that "I was going to kill you" felt really weird to hear. Though, if you think about it, she did always use and abuse people (according to others, not her own words mostly). I liked her character a lot and wish she stayed alive with MC.
The blonde I didn't like until I realized she was putting her faith in Shikizaki's foretelling of a changed future. She had a nice personality in the final scene but before that she wasn't really likable.
This show is in my top 9 despite the plot predictability (save for nanami being strong and togame dying), the character interaction made it what it is.

Agreed. I think the linearity itself allowed the show to focus on character interactions, dialogue, and stylish fights, instead of silly "twists". It also has top-tier art and music.
It's in my top 9 too.
no people were just mad at that scene, but very few /a/nons hate togame.
The plot might be quite generic and predictable, but the whole future explanation was genuinely good.
Snow Loli best girl.
These two are best girls
I am disappointed we didn't see more of snow loli
Huh, I thought /a/ was down with gender bending not really being gay. Or at least /a/ was okay with probably being gay.
Come on snow loli + nee-san = hot
Hermit girl wasn't a girl?
don't forget shogi girl
Was in every way that matters.
she was pretty pure but not comparable.
dat pic, would ravage
Despite this show being predictable, despite the overpowered MC, I definitely agree this is a great anime. The scenery is fantastic, the characters are creative to say the least, I liked their designs anyways. But like everyone is saying, that short 1 year relationship between MC and Togame was so beautiful there's no way you could hate her. Even if she wasn't lying, if you listen to her whole speech it's clear she wouldn't have really killed him (as if she could?). Fucking hated that princess though.
