Describe Samurai Flamenco with one word.
Wait, I remember the time when /a/ said that was good.
You mean the first few episodes?
Yeah, those were good times.
yeah from ep 5-7 then it dropped hard with the flamengers shit
It's the Boku no Pico "type" of good
I came here with intention to wrote "shit", but it seems everyone got the same idea.
Thank God all you fuckheads dropped the show, the threads are terrible now
At least until the next big thing happens then everyone will have to get in on the so ebin shitstorm
How is Beyond Flamenco not shit storm worthy?
Also when is the inevitable, it's all a dream ending coming? No really I'm not going to be rused again when is it coming?
AREN'T terrible now, I mean.
I dropped the entire series a few episodes after the gorilla bullshit.
The plot is ALL OVER THE PLACE.
Who the fuck is the director/story plotter. He needs to be fired and never work in this industry ever again.
I like it. And there is nothing /a/ can do to stop me.
It's below mediocre now. But I can't stop watching, I actually really enjoyed the last episode, hopefully it picks up a bit more.
Yea sure you do.
Try harder. 1/10
Why is King Torture even in the OP.
I like it too.
It's a fun watch.
The most enjoyable anime I've seen in a very long time, along with Build Fighters.
The hero designs are really great, especially the sentai-esque teams. I also love hearing Masayoshi singing the Flamengers theme. The consistent QUALITY really makes me appreciate other shows
oh, and I guess my word is "silly"
It's clearly an interim OP animation, like this one.
CUZ I FEEEEEEEEEL
That didn't go on for 3 episodes though.
Guys. Guys. Remember when Sam Flam was just a show about a crazy chuuni guy wanting to be a superhero and his cop buddy? Everything since Simian Situation has just been a dream. Right?
>People like this still exist
>mfw when this piece of shit became a valvrave-tier trainwreck
And to stay on topic: shit
I swear, if the SUPER SECRET WRITER is actually Urobuchi
>his face when
I suspect the new OP features Beyond Flamenco or something, so they had to hold off.
Why does everyone want everything to be a trainwreck since VVV, is it because it spawns funny memes and shitposting?
Try since Geass.
They're more fun than shows that take the straight and narrow path.
Trainwreck is the latest buzzword and usually applies to "I expected X and got Y instead"
Yes, but it's been reinstigated since VVV.
More like everyone wants the feel of Geass Sundays back
Samurai Flamenco is one of the best shows airing right now, people who are saying it is shit just dont understand.
>All this hate on SamFlam
SOLfags really like their realism don't they, bunch of shits.
But Isnt he busy with Fruitspunch Samurai at the moment?
Id rather kill myself than have vocal autists spamming threads about a shit show.
Though /a/ is much bigger now so that will never happen again, thankfully.
Hey, an anon can dream. I just want to watch Hazama and Gotou have bro moments again.
>Ore wa FROM BEYONDO no BEYONDO FLAMENCO da. Hajimemashite, Nii-san.
>[CHEERFUL ED THEME INTENSIFIES]
>Id rather kill myself than have vocal autists spamming threads about a shit show.
Been here the last few seasons?
That still happens, but less often
swear to god this second half better have an amazing end to make up for the garbage its been since gorillatine. I dont know how many more episodes of this retardedly over the top generic sentai shit I can stomach.
If it was sentai from the start, it would be ok, but this is not what I signed up for when I started watching.
Its just not the same. It was perfect for Chopper Chimp.
Two toku shows at once, as expected of the master.
Haven't watched this show since the first Beyond episode, is it really that bad now?
>Not liking episodes 10, 13 and 14
You won't be happy no matter what so just drop it anon
The plot literally moves in every direction possible at breakneck speed. It's pretty fun.
Is it still terrible?
From Beyond is led by Masayoshi's long-lost brother or something.
Yeah, show me one post on foolz saying anything related to this week episode and you might be right.
Really Enjoyably and fun too watch.
I love Sentais
Does she win the flamen red?
>That still happens, but less often.
The way they interact the past half dozen eps or so has been completely different. Like neither really knows what to say to the other or they don't want to get in each others way.
In it's own right it's an interesting character development concerning their relationship. But I still liked the overall "bro" feel from back when they would eat curry together.
Are you shitting me
More, like from another dimension.
Can't tell yet.
He does say he's his brother though.
Shadow Moon arc?
"its nice to see you, brother"
Knowing this show that could mean he's like Liquid clone bullshit or something
This. I'm betting on some manner of From Beyond clone. But with the way this show has been, I wouldn't be surprised if it was his dead father brought back to life or some other off the wall shit.
I don't know if I should pick this back up to see how intensely this trainwreck burns or just keep it dropped and back away slowly
Remember when flamenco was just a normal guy busting up street crime at night. remember when the only special ability he had was his sense of justice. remember when no one actually died, they just got beaten up a bit until the cops came to arrest them.Remember when you could believe that samflam could actually exist in real life and you could self insert.
I'm finding it harder and harder to remember now...
Can you honestly say you have anything better to do?
How can there be nostalgiafags about 6 episodes of a show that aired two months ago holy shit
The best episode wasn't even in that part
Only for faggots who dont love sentai
For some reason those first episodes seemed to drag on forever.
>tfw having fun watching this show but /a/ hates it
They were good, but I like each of the three arcs for different reasons
But King Torture arc is best.
Who gives a shit, there's still a good group of people, small enough to have a good discussion free from shitposting (now) who like it and /m/
It's better this way
>.Remember when you could believe that samflam could actually exist in real life and you could self insert
Except this is wrong,he would never exist and instead get shot on sight
Flamenco is Pheonix Jones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVLvAOsX95M&oref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DlVLvAOsX95M&has_verified=1
Only reason Jones hasnt been shit is because he only goes after small time guys on the streets doing loitering and shit
The Flamengirls have more airtime in the ED now than the show. Fuck anyone defending the direction this show has gone.
I'm getting off mr bones wild ride.
Good, fuck Mari.
>Baww my waifu aint on the screen!
>implying Moe isn't moe
They'll probably be more relevant in the next arc.
the problem is no one interesting is on the screen. the rest of the flamengers are shallow and boring, both brocop and 3girls have 0 meaningful roles anymore despite the fact that they were huge players in the first arc. everyone who ever meant something is now a cameo appearance at best. What ever happened to brocops girlfriend? they brought her up all the time, leading to something and then the director turned into a 12 year old and said "all these adult problems are booooooring i want explosions and superpowers and giant fighting robots and enemy designs from the fresh produce isle"
I'm even happy to let king torture slide despite all the magic fighting animals out of fucking nowhere. (on a side note, they made a specific point that all the animals had to stand in a specific pose before they could explode. was this ever followed through with? I dont remember them doing so.)
Hazamas grandfather created the concept of samurai flamenco, but then later on the government has been putting together the flamengers for like 12 years? the fuck is that?
How did all the sentai actors suddenly become real sentai?
everything monkeychop+ has a huge "The Truman Show" feeling to it, and it makes me uncomfortable.
Wayy too long for me to read
Instead i will tell you this,Next arc they will be more prevalent. Took the 1st big step in getting them back in the main plot by reuniting them at the house. So dont worry your waifu will be on screen again
>the problem is no one interesting is on the screen
Thats an opinion
you're taking a sentai show way to seriously
>Wayy too long for me to read
/a/ - Alliterates
Im not reading something that could be said in one or two sentences.
>I dont enjoy the characters that are being given screen time now. I enjoyed the Flameco girls and hope to see them more and their Story line
The paragraph was about the director changing from a clear story (wanting to be a hero, then King Torture) to doing whatever the fuck he feels like. Plus this.
>Hazamas grandfather created the concept of samurai flamenco, but then later on the government has been putting together the flamengers for like 12 years? the fuck is that?
How did all the sentai actors suddenly become real sentai?
That WAS said in one or two sentences. There are other things being said in other sentences.
Or was this post too long for you to read as well?
It's actually good. You'll see a lot of Masayoshi development. He basically realizes that being a hero isn't all fun and games, and you'll see him break down from stress and guilt. There's also another crazy plot twist that happened this episode. Also, the From Beyond arc is almost over.
You ever stopped to think that maybe the grandfather was in on it with teacher? He was willing to help from the start and didnt take long to start teaching Flamenco
You ever stop and read how I was quoting the other guy? Don't ask me, but yes, I assume he knew beforehand.
IVE GOT IT.
THE REAL SHOW ENDED AFTER TORTURE WENT DOWN AND HAZAMA REVEALED HIS IDENTITY.
THEN HE WAS OFFERED A ROLE ON A NEW SENTAI ABOUT HIMSELF.
SO BASICALLY EVERYTHING AFTER KING TORTURE HAS JUST BEEN A TV SHOW.
YES. THIS IS WHAT I'M GOING TO BELIEVE.
Or maybe Torture never happened and he is playing himself in the life he wants in his role as a successful actor.
I dunno, the torturing seemed pretty real.
Off-set wet dream, I don't know. Reliving childhood fantasies in a dark world must have triggered something in abnormal in his blood. Now he has a thing for S&M.
CROSS OUT (STRIP) RED
This. She's being a bitch, from the start.
HE'S BEYOND FLAMENCO.
HE'S MYRMIDON TANGO!
A shame 95% of people don't understand what's going on, so they just say "trainwreck" instead.
If only they could drop the show and keep out of SF threads.
It started in an incredible way and just turned batshit insane from the monkey part onward.
I tough they would just say something like it was all a dream at first ,but well... No. And then they just stickied with it and decided to increase the trolling using all the plot twists that you can find in the Japanese super heroes series while keeping a certain part of seriousness.
Therefore a fun show to watch for the cameo of the gender but kinda disappointing.
Of course i think it would be better if they stickied with the original plot because it looked a lot more interesting , however this turn of events have some qualities as well like showing the difficulties you will find anywhere or what a hero truly needs.
Well seems like a fun-ride at least.
This was always the original plot. Check the promo art.
>i wonder if someone wrote shit
heh... the OP of this series ends with Masayoshi waking up and scrambling to work, after having dreamt of some superhero stuff.
Masayoshi will wake up by the end of all these shenanigans and go back to his modelling work
I thought the gorillaman arc was good. It became bad when they started building transformers.
I marathoned this inbetween cours and the gorilla twist made sense. I feel like it's just dragging on and on, now, though. Personally I expect Red Axe's superhero friends to be the ultimate villains and Framenco-desu will have to take them down. It just depends on how well that part is executed for me to decide if this is good or bad.
>Also, the From Beyond arc is almost over.
>For some reason those first episodes seemed to drag on forever.
I marathoned the show only recently and I can confirm this. It feels like 20 seasons ago.
My problem is it's understandable, but it's boring, ever since the flamengers happened. My hope is it's building up to something interesting though.
Should I be watching Commie?
I just came in here to say that Harakiri Sunshine is fucking based, and I hope SamFlam gets to meet him.
>Try since Geass.
Which is ironic since that was better than most shows given the label, thus making it a more hollow description each and every time.
It didn't seem to me like they dragged on. I watched it as it aired so we didn't really know things were going apeshit in ep7. It was enjoyable to watch when you didn't know what you were getting into and you just thought it was a wannabe superhero SoL anime. If you're already expecting Guillotine Gorilla to show up it's not as fun.
I liked the gorilla arc, actually, it's only the recent episodes I feel like dragged on.
It could have been a new Tiger & Bunny but became a shitty self-parody of itself.
If you're this anon >>100835780 I thought you were talking about the episodes you quoted on that post:
>those first episodes seemed to drag on forever
I guess they did but in a good way. I kept wondering when the super hero stuff would start and then WHAM
