Isn't there a huge plot hole here?
There were three Death Notes.
One was sent back with that third shinigami.
One was sent to Mikami Teru.
One is with the cops.
Light personally doesn't have one on him anymore. And considering he relinquished ownership of the one he owned, and he also doesn't have one in his personal possession right now, doesn't that mean he should've lost his memories of Death Notes and shinigami and the whole thing about him being Kira?
How did that switcharoo at the end even work? I don't get how near got the deathnote?
No use thinking about it. Looks like the author never kept proper track of who was supposed to be having the notebooks at each time.
he only need to keep a small piece of death note to keep remembering
Wasn't Mikami's one technically Kira's?
>caring about Death Note after L died
Should've ended right there.
Dawg, Light only needed a piece of the death note to retain his memories. Also,
Piece of a note will only help him see Shinigami. Won't help with memories. That needs the whole book.
And as for third shinigami, what about him?
Nope, he owned it. Can't do the eyes deal otherwise.
where you get that false information from?
From Rem and Misa.
can you show the page?
So how would you guys fix death note? Would you still Kill Light at the end or would you end it with L's death where Light wins
I want Near to die along with Light.
Goddamn I hate that little shit so much.
I hated Near too but the main issue with his arc is all the bullshit that he used to catch Light. The ending on it's own was a good way to end the series.
The editor wouldn't let you have an ending where the evil win
Light should have won, call me edgy if you want, it would have been satisfying.
How the live action movie handled it: L writes his own name with the maximum time limit. Guaranteed death eventually, but he's immune to all death note attacks until that point.
Light won in the director's cut.
The one with the cops was "owned" by light, it was rems who gave it to him.
I know she was a retarded bitch, but I kind of feel sorry for Misa-Misa.
What's the full story with the movie ending? Does L figure out 100% with evidence that it's Light and gives himself the time limit to catch him by writing his name or something?
What happens in the director's cut?
Nope. That was never Light's. It was Yagami Souichirou's. Hence his ability to do the eye deal with Ryuk.
>Nope. That was never Light's. It was Yagami Souichirou's. Hence his ability to do the eye deal with Ryuk.
He died, Light got it after that.
I think the director's cut was something like two ova episodes that end when L dies and then at his funeral, when everyone has left, Light does his crazy laugh and taunts L's grave, the viewers assume that Light won and will continue with his work. It's been a long time since I saw it.
That was only at the end of the first ova.
But think back to when Light touched the notebook while in the helicopter with L, he regained all of the memories. hmmmmmmm.
That was the whole notebook, hence the whole notebook is necessary for memories. A little part of it won't do.
Anyway, I think >>100829218 is the proper explanation.
Wasn't that fragment from a different Shinigami's notebook? I thought that memories only returned if you touched your original note, although it's been years since I last touched Death Note.
