Is there truly room for 4 different anime about being trapped in a video game?
.hack//sign did it first.
now we've got log horizon, SAO, and this bullshit that I just found.
At least Log Horizon does it differently.
Aren't they all just trapped in an island? That's not a game.
I may have just skimmed the description instead of watching it
the description may have lied to me
They are not trapped in a game
From the 2 episodes of this I watched.... They were indeed trapped on an island, and I believe re-enacting the game they were all involved with IRL... Which happened to be some shit about using different kinds of bombs to kill your opponents.
And why the hell not OP? Someone could easily come along with a new, creative way of exploring the idea.
There's room for hundreds of SoL in a high school setting but four anime about being trapped in a game is just too many?
SAO ruined the genre
I hope Log Horizon saves it
Unfortunately you may be one of the millions of people that have something scientifically known as clinic retardation. Please seek professional help.
I finished it recently; they're stranded on an island, but they have to kill one another with bombs, in a real-life interpretation of a game that was popular in the anime's timeline
>Log Horizon saving any genre
BTOOOM! is a cheap and shit (SHIT!) clone of battle royale not of being trapped in video games.
As shit as BTOOOM! was it was almost watchable until the MCs internet GF showed up and didn't end up actually being a 14 year old boy.
Btooom and SAO are nothing alike.
OP you haven't watched Hunter X Hunter yet, have you
>Is there truly room for 4 different anime about being trapped in a video game?
It just a different version of anime about being trapped in alternative version anyway.
BTOOOM is about gamers being trapped on a real life island, and is actually pretty decent.
