So what the fuck happened to Honeyview?
It looks completely different and the project moved over to Bandisoft.

Has anyone tried the new Honeyview yet?
I'm kinda surprised, because there wasn't any update in ages.

I just want to read some manga.
>>
My honeyview is fine, just don't update.
>>
Thanks for the warning, won't update it and backup my setup file.

MangaMeeya?

thank god I have the old version still.

Everyone should be using Mangameeya anyway.
>>
>>100808027
And your reasoning is?
>>
>>100807916
I've always used CDisplay, I haven't tried many others so I have no idea how it compares but I've had no problems with it for 7-8 years.

Forgot the link to the new one.

I'm trying it out right now, doesn't seem THAT bad so far.
Still wondering if it's the same developer.

What features does MangaMeeya have that Honeyview doesn't have?

>>

I use Honeyview for two things, reading manga and as a replacement for Window's shitty picture viewer.
It does both things quite well, Mangameeya is more or less just a comic book reader.
I wouldn't even mind but it just seems outdated as fuck.

>>
CDDisplay still stronk
>>
>>100808803
It's a fuck ton of features, but most of them are useless in my opinion. What it does better than the rest is being completely unintrusive, you can set it up to your liking and the basically forget you're even using it.

Both are the same, I recommend the 2.4beta version, for some reason I can't get the transition effects working on the latest version. Not that it matters much, but it's the only noticeable difference.
>>
Looks like shit.

I started using Mcomix.

>>100808059
Mangameeya probably has the most options out of any image viewer I've ever seen. In fact (and trust me I'm really not one to say this) I think it might even have too many options, or at least a lot of options/features that do nothing but harmful stuff and literally no one will knowingly want to use.

I used to use mangameeya as my main manga viewer. I even used it on Linux through wine.

When I actually ended up trying mcomix I loved it even more though though.

This looks to be a good place to ask: Honeyview works perfectly on my shitty laptop, but for some reason, it freaks out on my desktop. It works, but whenever I move my mouse over the screen while reading something, it switches between the regular pointer and the hand with the pointing index finger. It's not too bad, but it does bug me. Anyone have similar problems/fixes?

ACDSee 3.1
Imagine
something eyes, can't remember the exact name but that it's barebones as fuck, not recommended for manga viewing.

Also any fast image viewers that scroll from right to left?

That's a pretty good feature. You can use it to quickly check if your images have any exif data you don't want.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mcomix/

>>100810236
You read that wrong.

In exif data sometimes there is GPS coordinates left behind from the phone/camera that took it. If there is GPS coordinates in the exif data of the picture the user can see them on google maps, this will show them the rough location of where the image was taken. It's not saying it's tracking the user on google maps or anything.

Although I believe Honeyview is proprietary, so fuck if we know what they're doing, but they're not saying that in that sentence.

>>100810394
Dammit man, can you not read?

>>100810476
No, but a way to do it is drag around the menu bar and then set it to not display it.
>>
>>100809265
Correction: works on primary display only. Use this new version if you care about color. If you're a poorfag who can't afford a colorimeter, use QuickGamma to make a profile from your display's EDID.

You mean you have a bad computer or do you just browse your shit really really fast?

But yeah the transition is sometime kind of laggy
>>
>inb4 /g/

There's this little weird shit in my Windows 7, whenever I sort my pics folder to date taken/modified and open it with 3rd party software like honeyview/irfanview it keeps opening up in name order, but it works fine when I open them with windows photo viewer.

It ticks me off to some extent

>>
>>100811106
You have to change how it's sorted in your program. Don't see why you would want to sort by modified date for manga/comics though, if you want a general picture view there's other choices.

Eye of gnome is my personal favorite because it's simple quick efficient and does what you need/want it to do for an image viewer. It has a windows version but I've never used it and don't know if it's completely the same.

I would suggest just using the windows photo viewer for general picture if it wasn't for one thing, everything is fine with the exception that whatever they are using for upscaling turns shit into pixelated garbage really badly.
>>
I use CDisplay.
>>
>>100811760
