Just finished Monogatari SS, what made Kaiki so much of a good narrator? He quickly became my favorite within the final couple of episodes.
He was a good guy trying to be a bad guy, so he lied at some points in the narrative.
He lied? I guess I really wasn't paying attention to enough to notice. At what points?
I don't remember all of them, but a lot of them were in the black scenes. He says stuff like "I didn't care" when he does care, stuff like that.
The biggest lie is the title of the arc, which he made himself. He says in the beginning that Hitagi dies, but she doesn't, which is a really weird lie since he's telling the story to Hitagi.
>what made Kaiki so much of a good narrator?
He's witty and a nice contrast to the teen angst brigade that is the majority of the main cast.
Who's angsty from the main cast?
Definitely not MANaragi anyway.
He was charming and to-the-point without breaking into yelling fits or making overlyexplained jokes.
Kaiki? When did he ever yell?
Depends on the episode/arc, but Koyomi, Suruga, and Tsubasa come to mind.
Is there any explanation for his lies, or he just does it.....to lie?
I think its like him just bullshitting himself to cover what he really thinks
>without breaking into yelling fits
He's an adult Araragi, after reflecting, maturing and remaining as cynical as he was pre-Kizu.
Nisio make the best character type.
Pretty much this, and I think that's the point. The author is mirroring the current gang (Araragi and his friends) with the old gang (Meme Oshino and his partners). Kaiki is Araragi if he can't save the girl he likes; Meme is sort of a wild card, but he matches our Oshino, Shinobu; Kanbaru's mom was probably was Senjougahara-like; Gaen was the Hanekawa and so on.
They're not the same because Meme acts, probably, but I'm sure the contrast is there for a reason and I think they may share the same nemesis.
He was always the best girl.
Oshino only had 2 partners though.
Putting crab and her snarky comments in their place
Because he's motherfucking Kaiki and he did promise at least the quality of the tale at the beginning of the Hitagi End story arc.
I would totally worship Sengoku.
She would go batshit crazy and kill you if you ever betrayed you though, in fact, she might just go crazy and kill you for no reason.
It was pretty fun trying to figure out what Kaiki was lying about and what he was telling the truth about.
I'd never betray her and I wouldn't mind getting killed by a cute girl.
is the movie out yet?
What is the movie supposed to be about anyways?
I'm counting 4-5.
Gaen (ok,it was his senior, but still counts)
Kambaru's mom and Gaen's sis.
That female exorcist who never stays on the floor.
And maybe the zombie girl.
But I know they don't match exactly.
>implying Kizu will be out before the seventh Madoka movie
At this point, I hope Shaft decides to make Kizu after they have adapted the rest of the LNs. Would be pretty funny.
Why is the movie never going to be released? Are they just too lazy or what?
Gotta die somehow right? Might as well be at her hands
>Maybe the zombie girl.
I dunno about that.
There might be the origami girl, but I'm still reading Tsuki, so I have no idea yet.
>That female exorcist who never stays on the floor.
You. I like you.
>Wanting to die by some psycho killing you.
>Not wanting to die of a heart attack because you're having too much sex in your old age.
I thought Senjougahara and the way she manipulated Kaiki by telling him to drop the case was meant present her as mirroring kaiki
Come on anon. Either blow the candle out or let it slowly wither and fade. Ever had someone tell you to die a slow painful death, isn't that what growing old really is?
The point at which I am no longer physically capable of having sex sounds like a decent time to end my life. After that does sound kind of shitty.
That is of course until we are able to upload into robots, that is why I am still here
They're too busy milking Madoka to work on it.
Yes,I meant the origami girl. I'm sorry,
I like you too.
It was the case, but I think it was more a case of the story, as in a pararelism of both characters, the con man and the victim (victims and perpetrators are a thematic issue in Sengoku's arcs), rather than mirroring his role for the whole picture. I think pre-kizu Araragi is a lot more like Kaiki.
But maybe it's just me thining too much.
I thought they were milking the fuck over this series as well? I don't even watch Madoka, so I didn't know that SHAFT did Madoka to start with.
