Your waifu just casted Jace, the Mind Sculptor
>Letting your waifu control the game and get that much card advantage.
What the fuck? I counter it.
Jace the Wallet Sculptor
Then again, Ritsu did rushed everything without prepping for a plains card
I play my second tolarian academy and cast another brain geyser and win?
>Ritsu playing affinity
>Can't outrace wallet destroyer: the deck
Ritsu a shit
Too bad my deck is made especially to counter her's.
All according to keikaku.
Smack her up for being a cheap-ass little bitch who uses OP cards.
what the shit
How the fuck are they affording underground seas? Is this a world without a reserved list?
Mugi family literally shit money.
I am guessing that is from MtG or something, I don't play it. She on the other hand only reads or plays video games depending on what timeline you are on
whats that? waifu is fully tapped out in her post combat main phase?
And as always, have nice day.
I shall cast it right back
>$115 a day
Christ, I hope no one actually buys into this bullshit.
You know she'll just force it right?
>Money back guarantee
so if you dont get a gf he has to pay you back? thats actually pretty cheap
If you can find him again. Nigga probably runs off with the cash of any dope who pays him
To be fair, she's already cast one force so far. Chances of her drawing two when she hasn't done any cantripping yet are quite low.
(Yes, I read the source.)
FORCE OF WILL
It's the shitty stoneforge version of affinity.
I hardcast Emracool, the Aeons Hip.
Since when does playing a shitty version of a deck not making you shit?
or yah know, unsummon?
I've got you, bro.
Just saying why she's shit.
>tap my cards counterclockwise
Jace ain't a creature bro.
To be fair, an early engineered explosives for 0 is a big blowout.
Unsummon only works for creatures. Jace is a planeswalker.
What you should use is Boomerang.
tapping anticlockwise doesn't produce mana, since the wizards definition of tapping, as evidenced not only in the rules but in the symbol itself, is a 90 degree clockwise rotation
I've always tapped my cards anti-clockwise and untapped them clockwise without knowing.
>playing Jace on 4 mana
Your Jace resolves.
My turn. Untap. Draw. I Show and Tell Gristlebrand into play next turn with Force and/or Daze backup. Go.
In response to you Jace -1 bouncing my Gristlebrand, I draw 14 cards.
I start my turn with 20 cards in hand. I cast careful study, draw 2 cards and discard Gristlebrand and Tidespout Tyrant. I exhume Tidespout Tyrant. I cast any of my 1 or 0 mana spells and bounce your Jace.
Do you concede?
Would you really play Jace completely unprotected by counterspells when you don't need to? Chances are she has daze or another force.
Of course affinity doesn't play dreadbore, so that doesn't matter.
Why am I playing against a neanderthal? Mai waifu knows how to speak English.
Griselbrand. I always do that.
Damn, im a fuckwad, it's been a while.
What's your Show and Tell list?
Ok, I went through the manga again.
Turn 4, on the draw, no mulligan, she should have 11 cards.
She's played 4 lands, 1 thoughtseize, 1 geist, 1 engineered explosives, 1 force + 1 exile, 1 Jace. She fatesealed, so no extra draws. She's got 1 card in hand; she can't force. Turn 5? You should be able to pay daze tax.
But yes, none of it matters because affinity. Hell, dreadbore in legacy is already far-fetched.
It's Reanimator, not S&S. It does run Show and Tell though.
Pretty similar to this list.
Cast conspiracy, make everything eldrazi, then play Spawnsire of Ulamog, use ability, fill board with Questing Phelddagrifs.
The world shall end in hippos. Elder god hippos.
What is this from?
Seriously? It's the first result on google.
well in that case
at the beginning of your end step, i boomerang to bait out any force/daze she may have. if she lets it resolve, i u/u/d land drop and cast memoricide, naming jace. she will then be forced to use any remaining counters she has to protect jace, which i'll just couner by tapping my two U mana chickens for a vanilla counterspell.
I remember when I had a white soldier tribal deck
Who modern here?
Isocron scepter + raise the alarm shenanigans?
I'd Modern if I had any money. Instead I just play casual Commander with proxies.
Nothing really organized.
Only trick I had was Preeminent Captain + Captain of the Watch
aw yeah, the pimp stick.
i always wanted to build an instant deck around isocron, but shit was waaaaaaaaay too expensive to get out of theoretical stages
I play every format Because my father is an old player and gave me a power Moat is the best white card
Seeing as I play a deck entirely full of counterspels, probably either syncopate/negate/cancel/dissolve
>best white card
but thats not how you spell swords to plowshares
Plowshares is great, but Moat just causes anger and buttfrustration
against scrubs with no utility, sure. theres no excuse at this point to not have some utility in your deck, no matter what color you play. there's literally an answer for everything
Right now, all I can say is that Grey Merchant is really bullshit. Sure it costs 5 mana but god damn it wrecks so hard. Mono-black too strong this standard.
But people at my LGS play goblin and elf when legacy time comes around Nobody wants to play vintage because I'm the only person with a power
Heh, Gary is my favorite card from this set, I don't even play him in any decks, but I know several people who do and it wrecks shit right up.
>Friend is just getting into magic
>Give him a fifteen dollar Grey Merchant deck with Ghostly Flicker and its ilk
>I am now banned from making decks for other people
Buy this card, goyim! Merchant is your greatest ally!
What about Paco?
>get into magic with my closest friend, who's been playing for as long as the game has existed
>play against decks with names like "It ain't easy being green" and "Kage's Bargain"
>develope a Timmy complex and make a rainbow Archbound deck with Corpsejack and Proliferate mechanics
Good times.... good times...
It's a common though. A bullshit common that you can't do jackshit against except counter. And who the hell uses counters now a days?
if goblin and elf decks are getting shut down by moat, they are shit. siege commander laughs at mote, and any elf deck with a shit should have assloads of artifact/enchantment destruction.
>And who the hell uses counters now a days?
That supposed to be ironic? Any blue all day every day. Fucking blue is set around countering creatures, spells, artifacts and what not.
I don't know, does Grey Merchant have protection from blue?
>Playgroup is full of scrubs
>Take apart UW control deck
>Turn it into bad WURBG Justice League deck
>Bad enough that I can run JtMS and keep a decent power level
I let the new guy borrow it one time, to let him have a taste of power. Needless to say, he was cackling like a madman soon.
They're getting better though. Might rebuild the UW control and add in a few new toys like Aetherling and Thassa for giggles.
If it did, it would be OP as fuck
In standard I mean.
Nope, its just that he's cheap and effective. Hits for at least two if he lands and thats a four point swing in life. Easily hits for 5 or 6. God forbid you ghostly flicker two of them.
And considering how monoblack is big on creatures having multiple black costs, it gets worse.
as you attempt to plus him I tap 1 mana to l lightning bolt. Goodbye jace.
>Carefull not to fall for it
I don't think it works that way.
sounds like a deck another of our mutual friends was working on called Group Hug. It had all the Super Friends, plus every color Titan, every color Praetor, and every color dragon from Kamigawa.
The fuckery man... the absolute fuckery.
It doesn't; adding loyalty counters to Jace is a cost, so it doesn't use the stack. When bolt resolves, Jace will already have 5 loyalty.
I'm surprised; /a/ seems to be having a better mtg thread than /tg/ so far.
most of the underages are at school atm, so its relatively peaceful here atm. tis a good time.
Protection from blue doesn't stop a spell from being countered, it would need an ability that says the spell cannot be countered.
That's what I told him to do.
Here's what he's running right now:
3x Doom Blade
4x Ghostly Flicker
4x Turn To Mist
4x Mogis's Marauder
4x Vampire Nighthawk
4x Grey Merchant of Asphodel
2x Abhorrent Overlord
2x Disciple of Phenax
4x Terramorphic Expanse
4x Dimir Guildgate
For casual play? It's dirty and disgusting. He's hit double 8 off a ghostly flicker. I was so proud.
/a/ is officially better at MtG than /tg/ is.
God /tg/ is so shit at Magic.
Just don't ask /a/ to make cards.
was there ever any doubt?
we're also better at vidya then /v/, but thats not exactly new or anything.
Only because /v/ spends more time complaining about video games than actually playing them.
>all Black creatures gain lifelink
Yes, Vampires are the main black tribe. And the pic is sorta old.
hey now, we've made some fairly good MTG editions of our favorite anime characters.
I recall a thread where we made some, surprisingly balanced, yet true to flavor cards for the Index characters.
You have pics or links?
Clearly you've never seen a custom card thread on /a/.
/tg/ is shit too but they don't make you start hating top-down design
Searching now. I could have swore I saved them, but that may have been on my laptop. I'll find them.
You know they added actual traps in zendikar block right?
>hurr durr enchantment and put counters on it
>if enough counters, then do things
Yeah no, morph is the only true trap
Wow and here I was thinking that the FSN cards were as bad as it could get.
Those are expeditions, not traps.
Who's your Ravnica Guild waifu?
When did I say anything about enchantments or counters?
Well, excuse me.
Don't think that instants with reduced cost have the same flavor as face down cards that are flipped, though.
It serves the same purpose, why does it matter if it's not face down?
Boros or Simic....
Ah fuck it, I love em both. How could I ever choose between them.
Boros, but I have a fondness for simic this set. Ooze flux is way too fun. Unless you have 2-4 Renegade Krasis on field
Extort if fun mechanic.
PFFFFFT, You can't possibly tell my that the glory of Master Biomancer doesn't tickle your fancy.
Wait for her to use the brainstorm effect, then respond by Vialing in that new 3/1 2 drop that doesn't allow players to draw more than 1 card per turn (spoiled in Born of the Gods).
She just puts 2 cards onto the top of her library and gives the cutest pout. On my turn I proceed to attack her with True-Name Nemesis until I win.
I feel like I'm cheating on my beloved deck by not saying Dimir, but damn, I would cuddle the shit out of Rakdos
I've been out of the scene for a few years, but the modern deck I help people playtest against is Kikijiki/Pod. I love that its just a new variant of the Kiki-Mite-Get-There deck
I bought counterfeits of the cards my friend was missing out of his Doran and Riku decks so that he could stop using proxies, but he still needs to get the real cards to play in the league his local store is doing.
I am legitimately upset to find that I apparently lost the scans during a reformat. I was actually a participant in the thread where they were created too. I feel as though I've let a piece of /a/ history be destroyed....
>best white card
>Not Stoneforge Mystic
Swords to Plowshares / Path to Exile are some of my favorite staple spells in white though. That and "Mom"
Hey now, our joke cards are pretty good.
wait for my turn. Tap my baghdad to dredge; Yell "HEIL DREDGE SAVIOR OF THE TRUE SKILL." Attack with my horde of zombies and ichorids.
Win. Again Blue is scum.
I would play that
What about this?
You can tap your cards however you want, as long as the way they are positioned clearly indicates to your opponent that they have been tapped. Upside down, 45 degree angle, 130 degrees, doesn't matter.
>Playing with a friend casually, with banned cards
>Get this as starting hand
He punched me into the throat when i got another signal pest + etched champion
That is correct. I tap my lands 130 degrees and attacking creatures the full 90.
You ever play against the people who put their lands were most people would put creatures/etc and that stuff where most lands are? Its so annoying
Isn't this just giving your opponent an advantage unless you can sing the lyrics without a mistake?
I've seen people play in all sorts of retarded ways. People who turn their deck sideways annoy the hell out of me for some reason
I will attempt to recite some of the effects of each card
Legendary Human - Esper
If a spell or ability targets Kamijou Touma, counter it and exile its source.
If a creature blocks or is blocked by Kamijou Touma, destroy all artifacts and enchantments attached to that creature.
>People who turn their deck sideways
That's a pretty smart way instead of tapping everything else. It's like he tapped the world.
I remember making these a while back.
My deck is usually turning slightly towards the left , mostly because it fits with how I draw my cards.
Sideways decks just look weird.
I have 4 sets, ill post them.
Legendary Human - Esper
b: tap target creature
rb: Sacrifice an artifact. Mikasa Mikoto deals 5 damage to target creature or player, or the converted mana cost of the sacrificed artifact, whichever is greater.
wait wait wait if I tap my Prodigal Pyromancer and target Touma my creature gets exiled? that's not how imagine breaker works
your right. my bad. its been a while and i'm trying to fill in the holes in my memory to the best of my ability.
Me. Some shitty mill deck that somehow goes +.500.
4/4 I think I may have more, but this were at hand.
Can you guess the deck? Dirty as fuck lens though
Legendary Human - Esper
If a spell or ability targets Accelorator, counter it, then create a copy of it. Choose new targets for the copied spell or ability.
If Accelorator blocks or is blocked by a human creature with power 0 or less, sacrifice Accelorator.
Tap: Destroy target permanent. It can't be regenerated.
Correct, too bad they stop selling those Taiga sleeves for Toradora, or it would have complimented the deck well.
Seems like a classic full faggot/virgin deck.
>agrro diapers got a big stinky again.
But ooze flux. Make an ooze, evolve your cratures only to make another ooze evolving more of them. You get big creatures all around.
I was never a really good control player, Aggro kinda gets stale for me. But combo, man do I love combo.
Legendary Human - Magus
Tap: Stiyl Magnus deals three damage to target creature or player.
2/r/r/r: Place a 6/1 Red Legendary Elemental creature token with haste called Innocentius on the battlefield that has "Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to Innocentius"
You got a good combo to counter the horrible vagina yata lock?
these were the only ones i could remember off the top of my head. i'm almost positive i'm off in more than a few respects, as >>100787531
pointed out, but this gives the general idea. a few tweaks to mana costs or power/toughness are probably neccessary, but for now, this sounds close enough in my recollection.
I preffer the level up ones
>Tap: Destroy target permanent. It can't be regenerated.
Wow really. As if that counter and create a copy wasn't already broken as fuck being able to create infinite instants cast this turn
a Broken Accelerator, that comes to play with charge counters that need to be sacrificed to do shit would be cooler
I appreciate your effort though
THIS IS THE ONLY FUCKER THAT REALIZES SHE MAINTAINS PRIORITY AND GETS TO USE THE PLANESWALKER.
it isn't infinite copies. just one for whatever targets him. it was the only way i could think to describe his vector manipulation/reflection ability in MTG terms.
and as to the tap skill, well... this is Accelerator we're talking about here. He literally has the ability to destroy anything he touches if he so desires. I thought that the tap requirement would balance it out since it can only be used once per turn.
The level up Accelerator is not a good representation of his abilities though. His abilities only extend to anything he can make contact with so "preventing all combat damage to you and all your permanents" is somewhat outside of his scope.
for his high mana cost, coupled with his inherent weakness to global effects, forced sac'ing, and wither/infect, this seems viable.
for added flavor and balance, perhaps add a cumulative upkeep cost. it would help tone him down and accurately remind people that he's brain dead with a thirty minute window of opportunity. at least until he gets his wings.
Even then youre wasting a card and Jace presumably already got to brainstorm.
add a clause that makes you sac the token when Stiyl leaves the battlefield and this is golden.
I understand that the max level up accelerator is him after achieving level 6, and as such it's full power has never been shown. Manipulating vector in a bigger scale makes sense
I don't get why do Touma or imagine breaker makes you get life
after reading the other cards in that list, yeah, a lot of them are kinda wonky. they're good cards with good effects, but they don't seem to reflect the source very accurately to me.
Umm Ritsu, you forgot to reveal the equipment you tutored for with SFM.
Casual, modern scum detected
Also what's with the maindeck Explosives, Mugi?
Moat shits on plowshares, as amazing as plowshares is.
There's nothign wrong with maindecking Explosives, especially a one-of or when the meta gets really 2-cost or 1-cost heavy.
What I mean to say by this, is that Goyf is a real card, and when you yourself aren't running goyfs(shame on you, pleb; you run goyf, ya fuckfence), it can be a very effective sweeper.
It really doesn't. Moat is great, but it costs 4, and pretty much every playable 4cmc spell in Legacy needs to be game winning.
Also it does nothing against Delver. Meanwhile, StP is the most efficient and effective removal ever printed.
situational. moats useless against a decent goblin deck, where plowshares will instantly solve a problem like Siege Gang or Krenko.
of course, we could always just walk the path of the righteous and run both in the deck
>waifu casts JTMS
I ain't even mad nigga, I'm playing RDW.
Sure, but judging by the Geist it seems like Mugi was running an aggro-control or maybe even tempo deck.
Maindeck Explosives seems more appropriate for an outright control deck.
That being said, I've been out of the loop of the meta for awhile so I may be off.
I like to run 3/2 StP/PoE when I play white decks though because fuck delver
Okay, well since I have priority and you were antsy, I'll just +2 you to make sure you get the proper amount of land cards out of your deck.
Oh Jesus, where is that poster at? Sac State?
If you're playing RDW and they've gotten to the point of casting Jace, you've probably already lost.
>burning the PW
Just throw fire at your opponent's face until they die
Not necessarily, I've had matches against BUG control where they have both Lili and Jace out and I've gotten the win.
Geist in Legacy has really only ever been in Esper control decks.
Your moat is so adorable.
Honestly BUG control only has Jace and Deathrites as a reliable win condition, and red decks poop on BUG because of how fragile Deathrites are.
Stuffy doll decks are fun as shit in multiplayer.
Wouldn't Jarod shore that weakness up tho? His recursion potential is redonkey
Don't forget to bring your friends to the party.
If you put Jarod in your legacy deck, you're gonna learn real fast why Jace is the only 4 drop Planeswalker in legacy. Also putting a GGBB in the same deck as a 2BB is terrible.
stuffy doll is considered a win condition, right?
Uh, no. Blasphemous Act is your win condition in a stuffy deck.
Late response, Yata lock?
but with no stuffy doll, BA doesn't win.
hence my question. i was wondering which part of the combo signified the win condition. i thought it was stuffy, since stuffy could, in theory, kill a player without BA.
>Playing Belcher with LEDs
Why not just play the infinitely superior (and more fun) ANT?
you could still pull this off with that hand and 2 regular plains right? Making it legal?
You're right that it won't win without it, but if you're singling out a card from a combo you usually go with the card that you need the fewest of, and that's normally the trigger card i.e. BA.
Stuffy is actually pretty useless without the BA in practice, but in a stuffy deck you'll have more than just stuffy dolls to trigger the damage combo.
The problem with stuffy doll decks is that they either can deal with the stuffy doll, or they can deal with every other creature you have. Both aren't good scenarios. You would consider the BA as the win condition because you need to have it to win and there's a good guarantee that they can't stop you from casting it, unlike stuffy doll which will be on the board where it can be dealt with.
I turn mine 180 because of the way I like to draw.
Magic: the Inception
Was poor at the time, I wanted to get into legacy so I bought those LED cheap. Also I won many of my matches against people whop get greedy from Ad Nauseam
That's because most combo players are terrible at playing legacy. I mean, there's a reason that Show and Tell hasn't been banned despite having giant creatures, card advantage out the wazzoo, and turn 3 wins.
It's silly that you bought the most expensive part of ANT, though, so you could play something else.
>That's because most combo players are terrible at playing legacy.
Show and queer players are horrible most of the time, because
>Show and queer
Most storm, belcher, oops all spells, etc... players come in two variety new players that need money and "Him", "Him" also know as the combo player is a dude that just walks into the game and fucks your ass mercilessness after or while pointing every mistake you've made.
>It's silly that you bought the most expensive part of ANT, though, so you could play something else.
You're retarded, what are lands shitscrub?
I don't have that kind of money to buy Underground seas.
I don't even know how to begin replying to this, and last I checked LED costs more than any of the lands in ANT, except MAYBE underground sea.
Not that guy and not too versed in magic but yata lock is something we had in yugioh. He's talking some bullshit.
I'd suggest trying ANT out with proxies. Legacy is expensive, so proxies are a bit more accepted when it comes to playing it.
150 a pop. By lowest.
110 a pop highest.
Used to be around 30-40 a few years back, and Underground was always over the 100 a pop a few years back and I think even worse.
You're indeed fucking retarded.
Welp, ya got me. I'm a retard for say LEDs are one of the most expensive cards int eh deck.
Meh, I kinda quit the MtG game I really lost interest in it
That's a shame, but understandable. I haven't been playing it much either simply because everyone I played legacy with isn't around anymore.
yeah but you want to draw that cranial plating too
