Are there any actual bilingual Japanese (or bilingual enough) people who browse this board? Like, watch the raws for ZSZS and read all the kanji and understand everything perfectly types.

I speak Spanish.

If they exist, they would never reveal it here. They would become our henchmen instantly.

Why would you want to know?
>>
I speak Japanese... I could probably get away with watching raws, although I've never tried it (If I can read, I tune out the sound).

I know around 400 kanji. Unfortunately, that is nowhere near enough to be able to read fluently. Why they can't just write everything in hiragana, I will never understand.
>>
I want to know so someone can verify how accurate some fansubs are versus others and perhaps even versus official R1 subs. Like on a technical syntax or grammar level.
>>
>>10075859
The thing is, people who're truly fluent in Japanese don't need subs, so they don't have any idea what the fansubs are like.
>>
>>10075874

Yeah, I figured that would have been a problem.
>>
i speak Spanish, Italian and Romanian (and english). but not japanese. i'm the worst weeaboo ever.
>>
I can speak very poor French.
>>

because hirigana is more limiting than the roman alphabet.
Also I've found Kanji is easier to read than just all hirigana.
>>
I can translate the Hiragana. That's about it.

If you're talking about Zetsubou, you won't be led astray by a.f.k.'s translations. Even though I hear he's on a bit of a hiatus right now.
>>
Spanish, english (obviously) and japanese.
>>
>>10075859
each group's translator should have a rough idea of how perfectly they got it done and how good/bad other groups are. you could an anonymous fansub criticism forum for people to post proof and whatnot, it might attract useful participation

Yeah, why can't they just write everything in kanji, like the chinks.
