What do you think of the top-selling anime /a/?
I'm sad KyoAni aren't as STRONK as I wanted them to be.
Why do you people care about sales rankings, anyway?
>MSG and MSGZ both in top 5
I don't much but they do indicate if "adaptation you like has a higher chance of getting more adapted if popular"
Are you ready for Origin to take its rightful place at the top?
That's why I said sales RANKINGS. That is, sales of shows ranked against each other.
Good shows in general in the top 10
I'm just posting information
Back then: selling 10k copies was a really big deal
Now: selling 30k copies is a really big deal
How times change.
left has many great and classic shows
right has a ton of shit, sasuga nippon taste
I want Kizu and its 200K.
Mania didn't do movies and OVAs iirc, though.
So what else is going to be up there aside from mahouka?
How much we looking at, 40k, 50k?
KanColle and SHAFT's vocaloid show.
>girls and tanks
>SEED & Destiny
Proof that sales =/= quality.
00 was better than both SEED and Destiny actually.
And it sold worse. Still valid.
How did Bakemonogatari sell so well in the first place?
Because it was great? Its first volume sold like 80K if I remember correctly.
and yet nobody can outsell Evangelion.
>1999 and before
>All that Sunrise
Good times, good times.
Mania RIP ;_;
None of those are to my taste (except GuP, but I'd defend it least after Free!, which was a flat average sports/cleanish fanservice show), but I can agree with most of their placements.
Why is that, even? Rereleases? 90s Japan zeitgest that attracted a stupidly large number of people? Even if Evangelion were as good as hyped, there's no way quality alone would double Monogatari.
How does it feel to have shit taste?
>'99 and before
>GT is 3rd
>to heart is even mentioned
I'm truly surprised
'00 and on I'm surprised by nothing
