Is Crunchyroll worth it? I mean sometimes after I get out of work I just wanna sit back, relax and watch anime without having to find the newest releases and wait for the download. Is it worth to watch the simulcast?
No, get a RSS
> without having to find the newest releases and wait for the download
This is why RSS is a thing.
It's alright. My roommate has it, so if he really wants to show me something we'll watch it on his laptop. I still prefer downloading for archiving and choice of subs, but crunchyroll is basically an anime version of netflix.
Only more shitty quality.
You realize it is possible to stream in 720 and 1080p now right?
It doesn't matter. It still looks inferior to TV rips.
yes crunchyroll is worth it
its only not worth it if you are living with your parents, mooching electricity and the internet off them because you're too poor to afford the convenience of streaming animu on demand.
is netflix worth it? no, because they have a shit catalog. you didn't ask about that, but it makes a nice comparison.
Will we ever get consistent manga rips? Why is HorribleScans so shit?
No 10 bit color depth == crap.
Daiz told me so.
>Shitroll advertising thread
Fuck off CR devs.
It's possible to breathe air in space, you should go do that. Packet based streaming will never be as good as downloaded episodes, even if you had a quantum connection it wouldn't matter because it still isn't capable of the same quality as reading from a disk is.
>crunchyroll's bitstarved 720p is just as good as a 720p TV rip
It took me about 30mins to set up an RSS for all these and I'm pretty slow at this kind of stuff.
>There are people who actually spend money on anime
But I only have a few GBs to store my animu
Samfag CR faggot
These threads always worded in such a way that makes them feel like viral marketing. They should be deleted and the OP banned.
please teach how-to!!!
nope, fuck off faggot.
Oh shit I need that
just downlode rss.exe!!!
>paying for anime
>paying for a stream
HS just rips everything CR streams anyway, you are a complete fool for paying anything.
Instructions are on nyaa, dumbfuck.
But I am legitimately trying to wonder if its worth it, or else I'd like to learn how to RSS
Be care,you're summoning Daiz
>having disposable income and supporting figuring suppliers... I mean, anime production companies.
No it's not fucking worth it. If you can't manage torrents, there's always ddlsite out there that upload the rips immediately.
>wait for the download
30s-1min is not really that long to wait.
>find the newest releases
RSS and/or aniChart+Nyaa, not really hard unless you're new to PC or something.
I use crunchyroll for Naruto/Bleach though because for those shows I don't give a shit about the quality.
Nah, he wouldn't come to such a shitty thread.
You do know that quite a few "HDTV" rips are actually just CR re-encodes? Commie, FFF, Vivid and others are known to do it.
What the fuck are you doing?
You can just keep making new account and there is a Reddit page dedicated to giving people 14 day trials.
guys are just spouting off the same old repeated message without much to back it up with anymore.
>Over the internet
The very architecture of the internet means that that is impossible to do feasibly. Packets are addressed and not actual true streams, it's impossible for it to work.
Yes, lets make it so nobody drops any money on anime so that it dies out in a couple years due to not making any money...
just leave this thread and let it die.
How about Funimation's subscription service, is that worth it? Back-catalog looks pretty decent.
>people legitimately think they are supporting anime companies by buying CR
Stop being delusional retard. If you really wanted to support them, you would buy merch.
No,this shit is even worse than CR
Their simulcasts are bloated and hardsubbed. I hate even downloading the HSrips.
>going to leddit
Can you really not see the difference between shitty CR stream and glorious Hi10p? Are you blind?
Alright folks, show's over, confirmed troll thread.
1/10 too obvious
No they're fucking not. They use TV rips as a source. The only thing they take from CR is the script.
It's nice for watching stuff that I don't want to download (like Gintama or Kaasan) or for when I want to watch anime and don't have access to my computer.
The uneducated masses can spend their money for me.
*Slightly tips fedora*
But muh miniscule licensing fees that give absolutely nothing to the actual industry and no residual income. Don't you want to support the downfall of the industry as well as get shit quality flash objects all over your hard drive and pay for it while getting piss poor quality video playback?
Don't be so sure about that
It's worth it for buyfags, you have to wait, but with free shipping, and some of the daily deals, I've gotten some of the cheapest prices all with free shipping.
The shipping is really what makes it cheaper, it sucks to wait longer than the release window though, but you do get them. Also, the prepay sucks, but it's whatever, they are American based so you can dispute easily.
>Yes, lets make it so nobody drops any money on anime so that it dies out in a couple years due to not making any money...
Problem is, Crunchyroll pays barely anything for streaming rights -- basically they ask studios, would you rather get nothing from fansubbers, or a pittance from us?
If the studios make any significant revenue off CR, it is likely from the figurines and other item goods that are being sold on the site.
Why are you even here? Oh right, you get payed to viral marked don't you CR dev.
I feel sorry for the people who think like this. Buying a CR subscription means you give 1% of that money to publishers, and that's only publishers. Not to mention CR used to be a free fansub site, that are scummy as fuck. Just buy BDs/DVDs, source material and merch. That's what anime aim to make you do.
>B-but my supporting the animu industry!
Don't believe me? Go ask some encoder from one of those groups, or just compare screens.
then buy more GBs poorfag
Most of you faggots are just gonna download HS anyways. Might as well save harddrive space.
Yes they fucking do. Underwater are doing it now for KLK. Notice the lack of a station watermark on some commie and other releases
