This is how Princess Tutu should have ended.
It did end that way, kinda.
I only began watching it, but that guy there is a total failure, so not sure why anyone would want this ending.
He becomes awesome.
Actually, about 2 days after the final scene, Fakir writes for Ahiru becomes human again
trust me, you will not think that when you are finished.
Fakir can make it end any way he wants.
But Ahiru would hate that. It would make Fakir just another Drosselmayer, playing with reality to please his desires.
But he won't, because he is not Drosselmayer.
you're talking to yourself again
but Ahiru would forgive him, as he accepted that a duck is fine too.
And we lived happily ever after. in my bed
Because it's a glory ending, they got want they wanted at a price.
Ahiru is a duck who turned into a human to help Mytho, being a duck is who she really is. Fakir knew that keeping her human makes him the same as Drosselmeyer.
It IS the best ending and that was a very gutsy move for the writers instead of giving it a bullshit shoujo ending.
>Fakir knew that keeping her human makes him the same as Drosselmeyer.
Didn't he go straight to writing at the end?
Anyone who thinks Tutu could have ended any way other than it did was not paying enough attention.
No. TRAGIC ending is as cliched as a happy ending.
Bad end was bad
I say the same about Gurren-Lagann's ending.
Well, the town couldn't survive without someone writing for it. Fakir basically had put things back in order of sorts and it wasn't writing for himself but for the townspeople.
yeah, he was writing the words "And the duck becomes a human once again"
don't ever taint a tutu thread with gurren-lagann.
Except this was not a BAD END. If you seriously think it was a bad ending, you disregarded the whole POINT of the second half: which was that they had to beat Drosselmeyer by overcome their roles that he assigned for them.
this thread needs more dueling guitar ninjas
Yes it did
however, that does not exclude the possibility of a happy ending after what had happened for Fakir/Ahiru.
Who was Ahiru's VA? Cause she was great.
What do you mean? They were happy in their own way.
That happiness would last a few days at best
who the fuck are you people???
But if Fakir did change Ahiru into a human again, it would defeat the whole purpose of why they fought Drosselmeyer in the first place because he did for his own desire JUST LIKE DROSSELMEYER DID.
That's why it's a glory ending, it's not completely happy and it's the best ending for this series.
though if she wanted it, it would be for her desire.
Fakir already changed the end so it wasn't a bullshit tragedy. It wouldn't take much to make it perfect.
But Ahiru didn't and that was the point. She was happy enough to be a duck and near Fakir.
Drosselmeyer reveled in other people's despair. He wrote his stories such that everyone in them suffered as much as possible because that made him happy. I fail to see how Fakir writing a mutually beneficial end for him and Ahiru would put him on the same level as Drosselmeyer.
The end was open. You can make what you want of it basically. If you want it to be a happy ending, it's a happy ending. If you want to make it a bittersweet ending, it's a bittersweet ending.
God, I fucking hated his voice. Only downside to Princess Tutu is that it didn't end with Fakir beamspamming across dimensions and raping Drosselmayer with his h4x writing skillz.
Only mind-hive idiots enjoy Princess Tutu and not Gurren-Lagann.
Because Fakir wouldn't stop there. What if destiny killed Ahiru by accident? What if he got an incurable illness? Would he change the world just to get a perfect life?
>>Drosselmeyer reveled in other people's despair. He wrote his stories such that everyone in them suffered as much as possible because that made him happy. I fail to see how Fakir writing a mutually beneficial end for him and Ahiru would put him on the same level as Drosselmeyer.
You basically answered yourself. What Drosselmeyer did was bend reality to his needs. Fakir changing Ahiru WOULD BE THE SAME FUCKING THING. Ahiru is a duck who only turned human to save Mytho but she supposed to have confessed her love and disappear. She overcame that tragic end by saving Mytho by restoring his heart, which cost her only way to be human (that was though his heart's shard).
Fakir had to stop Drosselmeyer's meddling with reality and restore it to what it was (you even noticed that the furries changed back into animals aka the Cat Dance Teacher became a actual cat). Ahiru as a duck was her REAL form. If Fakir wrote in that Ahiru can be human again, he's bending reality to his means, meaning he's no different from Drosselmeyer.
What makes you think he wouldn't write himself a perfect life? What do you think he's writing about at the end?
Maybe it's a bad end in disguise, and he's already falling down the path to becoming like Drosselmeyer.
The fact Ahiru remains a duck tells you that he's not writing for himself.
Fuck you, his voice was awesome.
meh, we could argue all night, and nothing would be resolved. The ending was left open. You can make whatever you want of it.
No, the ending was pretty much wrapped up.
Only because you have preconceived notions about Fakir's personality.
My prince, you belong to me what happened.
