She's going to die, right?
Iira and Rikka die together to save Mana.
And they live together in Precure Valhalla.
Fucking hell, seriously? There's two PreCure threads. >>>a/res/100719876
Captcha : oryans same
Yayoi a cute.
Fucking hell, seriously? There's two PreCure threads. >>>a/res/100719876
Too little, too late.
That's the Robinho thread.
Do you guys expect more fights, since the writer is from Yes 5?
Did Yes 5 have enough fights?
>I'd rather bump my own thread than support heteroshit
I'm hoping the generals will fight with their MotW a lot more often.
Keep trying, you'll get it eventually
Yeah, I liked that it made the Cures have a disadvantage with being distracted.
I miss the times when Magical Girls were created by women instead of male writers. The girls could show hints of humanity and even once in a while act like real girls instead of acting like pure waifu material
>I miss the times when Magical Girls were created by women instead of male writers.
>The girls could show hints of humanity and even once in a while act like real girls instead of acting like pure waifu material
Do you have a good example?
That's only for manga adaptations.
You mean back when it was filled with shoujo shit.
Remember when a show was Madoka before Madoka? But the art was shit.
>why a genre aimed to girls panders to girls instead of pandering to me?
If she is Jeanne's reincarnation why is she dressed like a Miko?
Madoka didn't really add to the genre though, no reason to pretend it's a standard.
Jeanne >>>>>> Madoka
Not saying it was a masterpiece or something but grimderp =/ better by default
The anime kinda ruined the twist; it was better for the fairy to be evil all along rather than just corrupted.
how until Bel dies?
Remember when Magical Girl Medabots?
Remember when magical girls were American sitcoms?
she has an evil grandma and a good grandma? I don't remember the plot in this show
I'm expecting him to live, humiliated by defeat and forced to be Mana's lackey.
>inb4 Mana is Queen Mirage
Remember when /pc/ talked about Precure?
>Sabrina The Teenage Witch anime remake never
>Winx anime remake never
Not really, no.
Isn't Winx still going on?
Also, I remember not liking Winx very much and only watched it occasionally because of the lewd transformations.
Remember when Magical Girls turned big when used her powers and had over-protective, pseudo-lesbian friends?
>Totally Spies: Magical Ops never
>you will never see the Doremis meet the Precures in the next crossover movie.
Strange, I don't remember overprotective lesbian friends. Maybe it passed over my head because I was young.
That anime was hilarious though.
Looking at the history of magical girls, most of them are aimed to male audiences.
ONE OF THESE IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS
>over protective pseudo lesbian friend
Not really. They had fanservice, but even the early idol anime was aimed for little girls.
Toei so good, Kawano the best.
Don't be like that. It's never too late hope. If not this crossover, then the next one!
I'm probably wrong, but I just can't see stuff like Minky Momo and the other Pierrot stuff as aimed to little girls; it's way too otaku driven.
I wish this artist would stop covering everything in sparkles.
>Season 6 premiered on September 29, 2013.
Got it move.
What about that ladybug thing? Did anything ever come of that?
So, Cures can survive in space. That alone implies they can survive
1) Lethal doses of cosmic radiation
2) Depressurization, and all the fun that goes with that
and 3) both extreme heat and extreme cold
All of which they shrug off with no side effects.
Precures are made of strong stuff.
I think the rationale was that little girls wanted to become idols when they grow up.
Full CG now.
Of course. They can take some heavy beatings and the worst thing that will happen is they get their clothes slightly dirty.
I'm not surprised by the conclusion, but the details are neat. I wonder which Cure has the strongest canon feats?
I am seriously upset by this.
Has any other Cure come closer than this to lava?
3 Freshes stopped a cruise ship, the Dokis and the heartcatches (maybe) can survive in space.
What other impressive feats have cures pulled off?
Where was that volcano, I want to figure out the average temperature where she is
In the Tump Kingdom.
You know thinking about it, Black and White weren't all that strong in their series. At least, not in comparison to shit like Infinity Silhouette.
They were scrappy as fuck though.
Does this change in Max Heart?
On the other hand, the Dokis seem pretty OP. Maybe it's Mana's aura/enthusiasm, but there wasn't a lot of tension in the finale. It's just the wiping out waves of Jikochuus like their farming in a MOBA, and making the generals look like idiots. Plus the whole breathing in space and lava thing.
Well, it only took two Dokis to push off a 100 story giant trying to step on them.
SS managed to cause the big bang.
What episode, I want to see what kind of volcano
From what I've heard, there will be a 3DCG prequel movie, and a traditionally animated 26 episode series. Baseless rumours?
This is so fucking good and it will never happen.
21. It was underground, not on a mountain, I think.
Those jikochuu were all first tier. They probably were all powered up by the presence of KJ, but I doubt any of them were as powerful as Leva and Gula's jikochu or the Blood ring guys.
Who drew this.
We already know number 3. The other 2 are hard to say because they were flying planes up there, so it can't be too high in the atmosphere.
I wouldn't trust anything if it's just hearsay.
I think the stratosphere is above the ozone layer, but I'm not a meteorologist.
Because the French don't know how to make money.
Just look at Wakfu. People have been begging for a season 3 or at least a short OVA, and it takes a damn Kikestarter for France3 to even consider it.
King Selfish would have won if he was alive.
It's from Mana's transformation, so the lead animation director probably.
The Lovely Pad was OP this episode. I don't think they could have helped.
It was underground, which makes it a totally different beast
Rosetta had to go up in a rocket jet, the others met her after she had been falling for a minute or so.
And looking at the episode, that's definitely at ISS height or higher.
Ozone layer is in the middle of the stratosphere
The rest of the Cures met her in a normal plane. So either they're a lot lower than they're portraying, or they're ignoring a lot of things for the sake of the show. Either way that list of things it implies doesn't hold.
>On the other hand, the Dokis seem pretty OP.
Of course. After all, Mana-sama's a Doki. :^)
/pc/ - Physics and Meteorology
It wasn't quite a normal plane, it was described as a Solar plane, which implies it's possibly capable of spaceflight.
Precure science is srs bisns
That's the latest I've heard on Tumblr. Someone emailed Zagtoon and they replied telling them that along with giving them some free art. Apparently it was meant to be a comic before Zagtoon picked it up but even with all that in mind Zagtoon seems to have the worst PR/marketing department in history so take even what might be an official's word with a grain of salt.
Oh and now Aeronautics.
They excel in raw physical strength, theoretically, but they never really demonstrate it. Their DBZ-ness is increased in Max Heart, but they still don't punch mountains in half or anything. Extreme Luminario Max is probably similar in power to the other top-tier beamspam moves.
It's definitely true that Precures have been undergoing power creep.
Well the Doki's also have about ten million power ups and items on their side. And they never really fought King Jikochu much directly.
I always thought that compared to the villains the team that came off as the strongest was Splash Star. And if we count super forms the Smile's would be up there too.
There was a Korean article which stated the 2D trailer was just to test the waters, and the 3DCG proved to get more positive feedback + the popularity of 3D in the market these days. Someone translated it on Tumblr, but you can see the original article here: http://www.groupwave.co.kr/e-DBrush_2012_12_lowres.pdf
>and the 3DCG proved to get more positive feedback
From fucking who?
Don't be cheeky. Solar plane describes how it's powered, not that it's possible to fly to the sun.
I agree that (compared to their villains) the Dokis are really strong. Even when Regina had just taken the spear, it seemed to me as if the Dokis could've taken her and the generals if they'd really wanted to.
>Someone emailed Zagtoon
Why did we never think of that? Goddammit I feel dumb now.
Remember, not a germ.
Calculations on thermal radiation are giving me that the lava pool underneath Heart is giving off about 2167.1 Kilowatts in just radiation, not taking into account other means of heat transfer.
That's pretty toasty.
Regina would have been so good as a regular character.
Eggs and Warfare was entertaining.
one episode until Regina be a Lancer
She still had more screentime than Alice.
To put that number in perspective, an average toaster puts out about 1000 watts
So Mana is sitting over about 2000 toasters.
All they needed was to make Doki about Mana/Regina/Aguri and ditch the other Cures.
Both Mana and Regina. Did Mana even break a sweat at all?
>willingly taking E Luck
If I were to guess, heating through convection would completely dominate the radiation heating.
This is such a perfect trailer. It looks great, sounds great, and swiftly conveys the whole setup and development of the heroes and villains without any need for dialogue or title cards. I want to watch this so much.
Magical girl Spiderman.
Better yet, it would have been good as
Since they're all relevant to the Trump Kingdom. Alice and Rikka would have been just another Waon and Seika.
And remember, it's not over the top of a toaster, it's over the inside
>Alice and Rikka would have been just another Waon and Seika
I'm just saying. we're lucky that we got them.
>another Waon and Seika.
Why would you wish that on anyone?
>Aguri over Rikka and Alice
By your measure you would have butchered almost entire casts of previous seasons.
In the future I believe Alice will be the most posted Doki.
I actually think Dokidoki would have been better recieved without Diamond and Rosetta. Maybe not a better show, but better-received.
As much as we hate this idea now, it's important to consider that our love for them would not exist to the same degree. In this alternate reality, Diamond and Rosetta would never exist in the first place, and Rikka and Alice would get much less screen time. Consequently, many fewer people would come to love Rikka and Alice, and those who did would do so as a side character, without significant expectations.
You could easily cut out ace/ aguri without affecting the plot.
Just make only regina ange's jikochu instead of that light and shadow thing and nobody will notice.
I can't imagine a reality in which this is true.
Then we would have to deal with the even more crushing sadness of MakoP getting shafted.
Being a MakoP fan is suffering.
If that much extra time became aailable and Toei still gave it all to Mana and Ange, I don't think I could bear it.
Yes 5 removed the unwanted cure on its own in GoGo.
Do you think that the kid that Joe gave a lovies to will show up next ep. or is he a forgotten character
MakoP and Aguri should have been the same character. They have the exact same fucking character arc.
RESPONSIBILITY VS LOVE
He's clearly not forgotten, he just appeared and got some lines. If there's an epilogue in which everyone gets back to their normal lives and so on, he'll definitely appear.
Waifufags might send death threats to Toei and, even worse, not buying figurearts
>Rikka becomes a secondary
>still has her co-dependency on Mana
>never gets to hear Mana's aishiteru
I couldn't handle it.
but MakoP has >MUH KINGDOM/PRINCESS thing
>Do you think that the kid that Joe gave a lovies to will show up next ep. or is he a forgotten character
Who are we talking about again?
I miss it too.
To be fair, most Cure seasons past Splash Star would have at least half of their Cures cut if we only needed plot critical ones.
FW: Focus was skewed, but both were important
MH: Why is Honoka here?
SS: Poor Mai
Y5: Pretty much everyone except Nozomi.
Fresh: Miki and Buki, who?
Heartcatch: Erika and Itsuki
Suite: Kanade was the only one that was irrelevant
Smile: Like y5, cut everyone except the pink, Miyuki.
Doki: Only Alice really. Rikka has the Ira redemption thing going on, and both MakoPi and Aguri provide background information.
You mean Jun? He already showed up, what are you talking about?
Well, At least we still like her.
I don't want to live in this world.
Are you implying that Mktn didn't make the whole show knpk?
Im talking about if he is ever going to use the Lovies he received and not just stand and cheering on the precures
You know, without the colors, it's really hard to tell the smiles from others.
Makopi could have easily replaced Sharuru as Mana's fairy and nothing plot-wise would have changed.
Rikka and the Ira redemption barely matters, and isn't really being explored anyway.
The nuances between them was important in the Ace vs Regina episode and the last episode, especially in the latter. The vassal forgiving the king for his transgressions was a very nice touch.
The doujin is a Selfish-proof charm, Joe said so.
No they don't. Neither of them struggle with responsibility vs. love at all, what are you saying?
MakoP's goes from single-minded devotion for Ange, basically self-centered, to being able to rely on and support others.
Aguri starts out being childish wanting to act grown-up and becomes more mature, gaining understanding; and her devotion is to the greater good of the Kingdom, ignoring individuals, until she becomes more accepting of slefishness.
They're complete opposites.
Erika was necessary for the character development of absolutely everyone. Without Erika, they wouldn't have approached Yuri in the first place.
Nobody give a rat's ass about Ira apart from the shippers
I'm only talking about plot. It's true that the shows with characters removed would be drastically different, but the plot wouldn't be.
Also, I'm pretty sure Erika wasn't important to Yuri.
Oh ok, I guess I didn't catch that part
That doesn't stop him from giving the lovies to one of the precures. If it did something else
He will use the lovies and join Joe to restore the Trump Kingdom army
So looking at all these comments about cutting characters in doki, the best solution would be;
-Cut ace/aguri and give all the plot relevance and background information she had to regina and makoP.
-make that whole Ira thing a subplot, move that episode somewhere earlier in season and Rikka is suddenly more plot relevant.
-move alice to the same school as the other dokis
By putting alice in a different school and never showing her school makes her more distant from the rest of the group.
It really depends what you mean with relevant. For instance, Nozomi would have failed multiple times without the other cures. Mana would probably have failed once without Ace, maybe once without Rikka/Aguri (but she recovered from the fever soon anyways) and that's about it.
I think that's what people mean when they say other Dokis aren't "relevant".
At the end of every other show, except maybe MH, you really feel the pink wouldn't have been able to get there without her friends. Though Doki's finale is trying to show that, it's a bit too late 47 episodes in.
That's the opposite of what people are saying. Cutting Ace would be terrible, cutting Diamond and Rosetta would work fine.
No, meeting Yuri was Erika's idea. They wouldn't have gone to talk to her if it wasn't for Erika. Erika always took the initiative, she is a necessary character.
While Mana didn't really need MakoPi, she felt like she needed Rikka and Alice. They were always by her side, supporting her no matter what insanity she got herself into. Even if Alice not being a Precure stuck, I would still feel that way.
Watch Y5 again. It had damn good balance. Nozomi got little more focus than the other characters.
Gogo, I see your point.
Yeah, but none of the focus of the other characters was plot related. I'm simply pointing out how silly it is to determine Precure relevance by plot importance.
Finally working my way through Dokidoki. Just finished 22 and the last half dozen eps have all been incredible. Cure Ace looks awesome (dat lipstick!) and I can't wait to see what happens with Regina
UMI DA~ related
Why would cutting ace be terrible.
When ace was introduced the viewer didn't know any shit about her and the only explanation at that time was "dunno, power of love".
Only at the last 10 episoded's it was revealed that ace/aguri was related to angie and the "light" of angie's heart.
Her whole backtory could easily have been given to just regina and the only important thing that would be missing would be the regina vs. Ace fight.
Ace's role of the (temporarily) drill sergeant could be given to makoP.
It would make more sense if makoto was the one training the doki's because she is supposed to be the veteran of the group and has personaly experimented the downfall of the trump kingdom.
Ace brought more problems than anything good with her.
Dokidoki pecure had already enought problems with balancing screentime and attention over it's characters and adding another character would make that even worse.
Ace was never needed other than being an extra toy.
That makes me wonder, how well didn ace sell?
How did all the little girls react to Ace and her introduction?
>and I can't wait to see what happens with Regina
captcha: daughter nciphow
She's so cute.
Such adorable optimism.
>I can't wait to see what happens with Regina
As of recent there's been some nice developments but for a lengthy period of time you're going to be disappointed
At least you like Ace. So sorry about Regina though.
It's totally plot-related. Just because it doesn't tie in SOLELY to destroying the big bad doesn't make it irrelevant.
You actually liked Ace after that introduction?
>I can't wait to see what happens with Regina
What will you do if חיים סבן releases Glitter Force?
So long as they don't make BakaBT take anything down, I don't really care.
i want to lick not-nagisa's salty eyebrows
Welcome my new Jew overlords.
I'm with you brother, I'm currently on ep40 and I don't know why these characters get so much hate.
Rikka fans are just butt hurt that she doesn't get enough screen time.
It's cold outside, better rub my hands together.
I really disliked Ace because she's an even bigger stick-in-the-mud than Rin. Fucking RIN.
But Rikka is my favorite character and I'm quite happy with the amount of time and development she gets.
I'm going to miss the entire cast but I'm going to miss Rikka the most. I don't want to let her go just yet.
Rikka the best.
Use this one, it's better.
Dokidoki is definitely the best-written Precure series. Every major character is fleshed out and developed. It's regrettable that some people can't see that just because of the format shift.
Most complex and ambitious, yes.
Best, optinions but I disagree.
>Every major character is fleshed out and developed
Now that's some bullshit right there.
I always find it really entertaining how all it takes to mindbreak a girl is to remove the lighting from the eyes
Every character gets the same amount of screentime (Mana aside), but only Rikka gets fleshed AND developed.
One thing I'm not going to miss is the eyes.
The lovely pad is one of the worst high-profile Precure toys in history.
Give them a break. They had to balance out the lesbianosity, so magic dildos like the last four seasons were ruled out.
Are you sure about that?
So it is. Good going Anon.
You're forgetting Ace's lipstick.
Oh yeah. Well, it's still better than giving one to Mana and company. Ace is the straightest Dokidoki.
Damn straight she is!
I haven't watched FW, what is it?
It's basically YOUR BESTMY BEST
And that's all you need to know.
It's a toy where two people see how much love they have for each other by pushing the buttons.
Would Doki have been better if it focused on a Mana/Regina/Rikka triangle?
Or if it really was a yuri harem?
No to both.
>"Y-You are w-w-what?"
I think Doki works a lot better weekly, rather than marathoning it.
I think it would've been better had they given all of the stuff Alice occasionally did to Rikka so they could have a more equal focus on character.
Speculation was fun, but overall I disagree. Doki is less formulaic than other seasons, so it's the best for marathoning.
Maybe if you were a little grill who got it as a present you would appreciate it more. Because it's a toy. For girls. Now I'm sad.
Well, we'll know if this is true by next year.
I disagree, I wish they had given Alice more time outside of flashbacks. It seemed like all her development came from flashbacks.
I liked the rich girl Batman with gadgets thing. I think it would have been cool too if she had put off actually becoming a Cure longer and played "manager" to them for a while.
Honestly I think a lot could be improved with slightly longer character arcs, instead of resolving things in one episode.
>Honestly I think a lot could be improved with slightly longer character arcs, instead of resolving things in one episode.
If the girls has solved their issues in a single arc then they would become irrelevant the rest of the series, this time I prefer the one character episodes.
Doki had good ideas and story. Just not good time management.
As things are right now Rikka had more focus than Alice, unless you're talking about the gadgets and stuff, but I wouldn't call that "focus".
>I think it would have been cool too if she had put off actually becoming a Cure longer and played "manager" to them for a while.
How is that supposed to sell toys? You are fired.
What if Alice was the main character of Doki
Every time Alice and Sebastian debut a new gadget, Toei makes a toy of it.
Alice doesn't have any toys that Mana / Rikka / MakoP don't. Manager Alice could let them use the Curemobile more often, and they could sell that.
Budget would be 300% better because Yellow.
Y(otsuba)Pad and Y(otsuba)Phone. Includes varied data about the girls and shit.
A sad story of a girl who turned into a magical girl together with her friends.
Her friends are at a different school and a soon as the populair idol and fellow precure makoto becomes their friend and moves to their school, alice becomes more distant of her friends.
Despite al that alice will keep on smiling and support her friends.
It's not just the main toy line. It's also the licensed merch, collection cards, etc. Yellows are popular.
I'm sad now, thanks.
For being themed after a deck of cards, Dokidoki sure had more iShit/tablets and beamspam than an actual deck of cards
Staying manager for longer doesn't hurt her merch potential that much, as long as she still becomes a Cure eventually. Just around episode 10 instead of 3, that's all I ask.
Imagine an epilogue.
10 years pass. Mana gets together with that one dude. Rikka with purified Ira. Makoto returns to Trump Kingdom, continues to sing for her beloved princess(es). Ai/Regina/Aguri grew up and now all fight over Joe. Alice marries a manager from her company to keep the money in family.
Rikka is the staff's favorite because she lets them sell Karuta cards.
>Ai/Regina/Aguri grew up and now all fight over Joe
That sounds so adorable.
Did they really do Precure Karuta? Do they use the catchphrases instead of waka poems or something?
Can't have that in christian anime.
3 days for the Manageddon
The day in which we'll all suck Mana's cock for the last time in her series
MY STAND YOUR STAND
Seems to be the case!
The most terrible Precure will finally be over then.
Would you like it more if Cure Ace remained small?
It's all Decade's fault for hogging all the cards.
>Not recognizing the best girl when you see her
Will the finale manage to outwank the other episodes or did we exhaust most of the Mana wanking by now?
Decade is willing to share.
People will stop bitching then? Who am I kidding?
> Will the finale manage to outwank the other episodes or did we exhaust most of the Mana wanking by now?
She gets a new tranformation so yes.
And I said it half-jokingly. Sasuga Jewei.
Man, I'm in a pinch, help me /pc/.
I want to watch Doki but I'm still stuck at GoGo. Should I watch two series at once PLUS an ongoing season?
Why did Toei decided to make Aguri grow once she transforms? There was never a real reason nor explanation
No one wants old hags in their little girls show
it's hard to call doki ongoing by the time you'd get into it
Max Heart ended 8 years ago.
I'm going to be royally pissed if she's really the only one to get a new form. I mean, I don't think the odds of that happening are that big but who knows.
I want to see more Yuri getting healed.
No, I'm considering Doki as finished already.
With ongoing, I meant HaCha, as I'm obviously going to watch that too.
Is there even a batch for Doki? I'd hate having to download everything individually.
Aikatsu has them too.
What are the names of the other two Cures?
Can someone translte the cards?
I'm a pretty big Chihayafuru fan and I liked the (tiny) part where Rikka was interested in Karuta.
Cure Gilgamesh and Cure Quetzalcoatl
There WAS and "explanation". And it makes more sense for her to have the "5 minutes limit" this way.
There is het shipping in precure, I think it was a reverse harem yurishit fom watching the first episodes. Was I mistaken ?
Also Rikka best girl...
Swaying in the Seabreaze
A Full-Moon Flower
Here we Go!
It's pretty easy Japanese, man. It's for kids, written all hiragana and katakana. Get your shit together.
Foreshadowing. So she'd look more like Ange.
Why a two/third god from Sumerian mythology and a full on flying-snake-god from Aztec mythology?
I do not see a connection. It's stupid.
She is the only one to get a new form.
>No one wants old hags in their little girls show
Oh shut up you colossal faggot.
Who Double-J here?
一輪の花 means one flower.
One of them is obviously Ange. I wish we could have found out about the blue one, though. She looks cool.
Beavis and Butthead.
Just wait till it's over and a batch appears. Finish GoGo first and also pick up HaCha.
In the preview.
I know that 一輪 can mean flower and 花 means flower. I thought "One flower's flower" sounded stupid and went with full moon instead. Guess you learn something new every day, thanks for the info.
It's her catchphrase anyway. Everyone who can't read marine's catchphrase is jsut a dirty casual anyway.
There is a very possible couple, and a "maybe it will happen" couple.
How is that Ange?
So that's why the kana in the Doki cards didn't match the pictures. It was karuta cards and the letter was from the phrase in the back. It all makes sense now!
more precure should be blonde since is the color of justice
All the other characters die, allowing Mana to transform. Her new form is omnipotent and she restores everything.
The red one totally looks like Ange but with a bow.
It might be an ancestor or something, though.
Oh shit, I remember that. We assumed they were flashcards for learning kana.
In retro magical girl, they did turn older when they transformed (Gigi, Creamy, Emi.)
It's very appealing for real little girls (in adult form you can do a lot of shit, while when you're just a child you have to consult your parents for everything),
But of course neckbeards won't like it. The will to appeal to that audience is also why the magical girls shows are less fun nowadays.
I realize it's a one-off henshin sequence and we'll never see it again, but I wish the Dokis looked this nice in their group poses.
Bandai wanted to sell lipstick and make up set toys. They want to be 'otona poi' and mine the fantasy of being a grown up girl. That's what Ace is.
This guy has the right idea.
Sounds about right. She'll also bring back Ange without sacrificing the three parts and everyone will live happily ever after besides Bell.
I can't be I never noticed her erotic shoulders
An ancestor would make sense, sure. Empress and company are from ten thousand years ago.
Yes, because Ace is just fun incarnate.
The animator was having a bit of fun with her design. Normally it doesn't go that low.
>lean, mean, sexy fighting machines
Not all bigger friends are neckbeards, luckily. I love me some nostalgia. It's most of why I'm still watching hero shows at this age.
She's right 95% of the time and everybody listen to her, it's easy to see why a little girl would like to be like her. Plus she enjoys sweets all the time and later learns to have fun more easily.
What are you talking about? That's not England.
I wished they hadn't used that little girl with the crayons for the new group pose that included Ace.
>She's right 95% of the time and everybody listen to her
Hardy har har!
>People will stop bitching
R E N I
>She's right 95% of the time
Except, you know. All the time. But other than that, sure, 95%.
Kawano is doing her best with the crayons.
>She's right 95% of the time
This is Rikka's future once DokiDoki is over. Forever.
Regardless, they should have left it to the other fellows.
Or commissioned haruyama.
Seriously though, watching Rikka come to terms with eventually losing Mana is really goddamn sad. Every time it comes up, you can hear the pain in her voice. Her words say that she can handle it, but her voice always disagrees.
I'm only telling the truth.
>How many times
Not that many actually, compared with the times she fixed everyone's issues.
Is this a "she's mean, so everything she says is wrong" kinda thing?
So what's the current status of precure?
Did doki ruin it? Will hacha ruin it?
Would Mana really let her waifu go? I hope not.
Neither. It's stronger than ever and quickly moving into a new era.
Don't worry Rikka, I will take care of you after Mana has bored of you!
Ratings pretty low. Money making pretty high.
Mana will strip Rikka of her Cure powers and give them to Regina. Regina will happily agree becuse muh manah. She will be consigned to waving a miracle light forever, dying a little on the inside each time.
She seems to have largely accepted it, but that doesn't mean she isn't sad about it.
I was disappointed they didn't go full Sailor Moon.
I wasn't sure If I would like to have Precure costumes so identical between each other but I guess it's necessary considering the costume transformations.
Are they "low" or "low for a little kids show"?
Low compared to previous seasons of the same show.
I feel like if Toei ever bites the bullet and decides to do a short mini-series or movie after story for any of the seasons, Doki would have the best material set up for one.
>Mana and Rikka going to two different universities and dealing with long distance friendship
>Makopi still doing her idol thing
>Aguri is the new seitokaichou of Oogai
>Alice being about as much of a wallflower as she was before, but older I guess
>Rikka and Ira on and off dating
Low historically, but still in the top 10 rank for animated shows in general.
Lower than what they were at their peak, but much higher than competing shows like Aikatsu and Jewelpey.
Low as in "only in the top ten of animated shows"
How did Yuri's life progress? Has she gotten over what happened?
Was going to space a silly childhood dream or something she'll actually try for?
Nah, she'll be Queen Mirage and we'll all suck her dick for being the best villianess ever.
>New cast of Precures
>Aguri with a new transformation that makes her look her age.
>Alice is actually their manager this time.
>The rest of the girls make guest appearances every now and then.
Maybe they'll do that type of thing when Cures are no longer obligated to appear in crossover movies.
Futaba and Daaku (who for some reason is very young).
They're saving Futaba for when Precure is failing and they need to bust out the big guns. MAX Heartcatch Precure.
>5-7ish year time skip
>Tsubomi, Erika, and Itsuki are all away in college
>Yuri is a newly employed office lady in [unspecified big city that is far away, maybe America or some shit]
>The Heart Tree has grown, given birth to new fairies
>insert generic new villain threat attacking that only city/town as if it's the only place that exists in the world
>Futaba and her grade school munchkin butt buddies become new Cures
>it's pretty much Doremi with less big friend jokes
The veteran HC girls can even show up during their time off from school, which just so happens to work out perfectly. Summer and Winter breaks almost always coincide with the midseason climax and finale, along with Spring break being around the end of the first cour.
>>it's pretty much Doremi
I could deal with HaCha failing terribly if I could get Doremi Precure as a result. Especially with occasional visits from the adult Heartcatches. By having young main characters we can keep the threat level lower, justifying why the veteran cures don't just step in and solve anything. They might want the younger cures to try for themselves, and maybe help them from the shadows once or twice if things seem to be getting out of hand.
They didn't need to outright kill her particularly. Just the fact that she turns up fine at the end with no real explanation really irked me.
Plus it didn't take them long to get better in SM.
And Mana was to busy feeling up Regina to even notice she came back.
>keep the threat level lower
If you mean more Wolfrun, Akaoni, and Majorina, then sign me the fuck up.
To be fair, Mana didn't know Rikka turned into a popsicle. Not that it would matter because LEGINUH
And yeah, that's what I meant. Enemies that are non-threatening enough that the veteran cures would feel confident in letting the younger cures handle things mostly on their own.
Smiles villains were great as long as you don't go in with the wrong expectations.
It's how you could tell Rikka wasn't in any real danger. Mana would have felt Rikka's sacrifice in her heart or some such bollocks.
>Yotsuba Corp made a contract with the JSDF to start the artificial commune program
Trump Kingdom GATE
>Yotsuba Corp performs a series of mysterious experiments on the Jikochuu goo
mana is a gir she doesnt have a cock
> girls don't have cocks
Why doesn't Toei take those popularity polls from the movies and make a new season with the top five?
It's a terrible idea and they just might do it.
Why is Mana so fucking stupid?
Shut up Miyuki. That's a terrible idea, Jesus Christ.
Not after MH and GoGo.
They wouldn't do any sort of sequel again.
There's no need to be mean to her.
I genuinely thought I was looking at some Aikatsu stuff there. All the pink and sparkles in my head are merging into one horrible mess.
>Mana as the sixth Cure
Why do you care so much about a chinese cartppm fpr little girls? I could understand it if you spent your time circlejerking or something, but you actually seem to discuss the shows more or less 24/7. Why?
Because I don't have any other joys in life.
It's damn serious business.
Because it rocks?
Because we are not insecure little /b/tards like you?
> /a/ discussing precure
But we are little girls, too.
Why are you even on /a/ if you have issues with "chinese cartoons"?
>implying we don't circlejerk
But really it's no different than /m/'s Sentai and Rider generals. In fact, I'm pretty sure a good portion of us big friends are cross-posters from those threads. At the very least, we don't always talk about Precure. Much to people's chagrin, it feels more like a Toei and little girl cartoon general than a Precure general, at times.
There's just more discussion about the actual show right now since the finale is coming up and the new season is starting.
I maybe was a bit more confrontational than I intended. Most other generals tend to degrade into circlejerking or imagedumping. You seem to actually discuss the show a lot, and at a first glance the show doesn't seem deep enough to have material for very much discussion.
It's serious fucking business.
Why is Tsubomi not an astronaut?
It's not deep, but there is a lot of it to talk about.
It's funny how cartoons intended for children in general are made by actually old people. I just can't picture these people talking most seriously about Kyua Happi and the likes in real life.
Raildex, aikatsu, sailor moon, and more get their threads/generals as well, it's the same thing.
You /b/ored or something?
There's nearly 10 years worth of stuff to discuss, not to say that we don't get offtopic sometimes, but being a weekly show helps with that.
Where is Muse ?
>Most other generals
Probably because we get new material constantly, week after week. Most other generals talk about shows who finished airing and doesn't get new material, strike witches etc.
not every little girl can be what they want to be.
Maybe she has a weak bowel, and purges under high pressure? Not having 20/20 vision is also probably a handicap.
As long as there is someone with different tastes than mine I will never stop arguing against them.
Obligatory serious Nozomi.
Most generals don't have ten iterations to talk about either. That and a lot of us know we're talking about little girl cartoons and don't hold and pretenses about doing so.
She has to carry on with the flower shop, too, ya know.
Muse came late in the show and those were probably sold mid season.
I personally imagine that every year they hold a staff-wide lottery for which staff member's daughter or son they'll use as a basis for a Cure that year.
But what about the Mars Terraforming Project?
behind Hibiki (not pictured)
Serious fucking business
They don't. They talk seriously about "The pink one".
And next, you are going to tell me that Kamen Rider isn't made by 12 year old boys either?
>discussion about the current week's episode
>people marathoning older seasons and posting their reactions, thus sparking discussion on those
>art dumps #basedharuyama
>the usual off topic banter
There's always at least something to talk about, though if it wasn't the transition week(s) for the seasons, the thread would be all but dead at this time of the week.
She can't be in two places at once.
And they probably didn't feel like designing an astronaut getup for her.
that sounds brilliant. Miyuki could occupy Mana's ambitions, Yayoi would pander to big friends and Setsuna, White and Black could just continue being best
Having sex with Souta (not pictured).
Maybe not the producers, but the directors I imagine are as bad as we are when it comes to the characters.
It would explain Decade's plot.
Precure always cheers me up, even when times are rough.
I'd rather see a massive cross over series but the cast feels too big even for 52 episodes.
>art dumps #basedharuyamaandotherpixivnips
> precure names follow a common theme
> another precure appears mid season
> her name is completely different
My precum belongs to only one man. I will not cheat on my Lord.
her poor hair
all dem cosmic rays have to be bad for unprotected hair
I hope you're not implying that Setsuna is one such cure.
Tarte best fairy
>not knowing passionfruit
>precure names follow a common theme
>another precure appears midseason
>her name also follows the theme
Who are you talking about, Anon?
haruyama rules, but he's not alone
>not knowing about the passion fruit
Precure can finally go back to being good.
> looks lika a ferret
> speaks kansai dialect
totally original and never done before
That looks disgusting.
I think he's referring to their last names
Momozono -> Peach/Pink
Aono -> Blue
Yamabuki -> Japanese Yellow Rose
Higashi -> East
Pretty Cure has never been especially original.
You've really never eaten a passion fruit? They're delicious.
Which ones speak kansai dialect?
TL note: Higashi means East
>Higashi -> east
After a year of being excellent it's only natural to go down a little.
I don't eat healthy foods. Sorry. Only proteins and carbs. If I start eating fruits and vegetables now, I might end up exercising or going to a gym. If that happens, there's less time to watch Precure.
> not watching precure in the gym
step it up
Does HC even have a naming theme?
Not really related to flowers, but related to one another at least.
Erika carves her own path.
it's hard to gauge the power levels of beam spam and attack, but in terms of raw physical power Black and White are the strongest.
Favorite scene in All Stars NS1, there's that big runaway ship about to crash into the city, and the entire team of Suite and the entire team of Smile were trying to hold it back but weren't strong enough. But then Black, White, and Luminous show up and just stop it dead in its tracks.
Erica would buck any trend just to stand out.
The only way precure could get good again is if HaCha flops and they went back to actual fighting.
Marine because flowers need water.
How do you know Happiness charge won't have actual fighting
Be fair now, she just made up a name she thought sounded cool. How was she supposed to know she was supposed to fit in with a greater thematic structure?
And people were complaining that Erika wasn't important.
Because they are obviously trying to have less fighting since Smile, they almost entirely removed it with Doki, and nothing really happened to change their minds. Yet.
Looks like it's from /g/ this time.
I will enjoy HaCha's dance-fights and so will you.
Actually when I thing about it, Sunshine, Marine and Moonlight would be the stuff that "nurture" the Blossom. So it can become a Flower.
But until I do, I will act like it will be the end of precure as we know it.
What do flowers need moonlight for?
>it will be the end of precure as we know it
It actually might be, because THIRD IMPACTO err I mean third era of PreCure.
>Tsubomi becomes Kaoruko
She could finally have the man of her dreams.
It actually is the end of precure as we know it. It doesn't mean the new precure will be ass though.
There are several flowers that bloom only at night.
Pretty sure that if you give sea water to a flower you are going to kill it.
>There are several flowers that bloom only at night.
If you know what I mea~nya.
I can't help but have dirty thoughts whenever the freshs start waving their cure sticku around.
I can't help but have dirty thoughts whenever the freshs start waving their cure sticku around.
They're more about being connected through their catchprhases.
Now that's what I call circlejerking
I fucking knew there was crossboarding between /a/ and /g/.
Please do not sexualize the cures
No, I'm just an internet detective.
Why else do you think /a/ flips out when you post a vlcsnap?
Are you kidding, that's common knowledge for years.
I think he's talking about Kero from CCS.
I don't go to /g/. I do use Arch linux though, so whenever I post my desktop everyone always assumes that I do for some reason
Not him, but it was really fucking hard to not stare and Berry's midriff the entire span of Fresh.
There's better Freshes than Berry.
> belly not visible
5/10 would still fuq while imagining it was Berry
It's spreading. If we wait too long it'll become unstoppable. We have to act before it's too late.
What about collarbones?
I know that much I'm a Passion man myself but when it comes to bare skin Berry's on top. Also that ZR.
Flowers need fucking sunlight to grow. I'm pretty sure that there are certain flowers who need moonlight to grow too but that's me pulling stuff out of my ass.
Moon flowers nigger
hym. is there any more pics of cures with their costumes swapped?
Wasn't the selling point of Precure that it was basically a show with hot-blooded shounen-like fighting, but for girls?
Now it's just a generic magical girl show
Fresh costumes were all about thighs of course.
It's more like Doremi's successor and something big enough to fill in the slot of Super Hero Time.
is there a tag on pixiv or similiar I can search fo?
It wasn't a good selling point to begin with. They are transitioning to a more remunerative one.
You won't even recognize precure in a couple of years.
>Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
>You won't even recognize precure in a couple of years.
>implying you'll ever forget "YOUR BEST, MY BEST."
I cherish the fact that I discovered Precure.
Am I the only one that didn't like what they did with Passion's leggings in her Angel form?
Precure 10th Anniversary Book !!
Makes every picture hilarious.
Truthfully, outside of sakuga episodes the fight choreography in Futari wa/Splash Star was pretty bad and I don't miss the emphasis on physical combat. Instead of real shounen-style martial arts it was a lot of ridiculous flipping and flopping and spinning and goofy acrobatics and flying around with jet plane sound effects just to land simple kicks and punches. Good concept, but dissatisfying execution.
>Ace's and Makoπ's pose
>Instead of real shounen-style martial arts it was a lot of ridiculous flipping and flopping and spinning and goofy acrobatics and flying around with jet plane sound effects just to land simple kicks and punches
But that's fun as fuck.
>Rikka just staring off into space
Suite (which I'm 3 episodes from finishing) has great fight choreography. Coming from MH as the last one I finished, even ignoring the art and animation differences Suite has far better storyboarding for the most part.
Mana has two loops that look like rabbit ears. Alice has two loops like teddy bear ears. Rikka has downward loop bangs like dog ears.
So, /pc/, how did you encounter these threads?
Anyone of experienced it back in 2008?
I was sort of interested in Precure, but I had no idea what it was. (I had the idea that it was pre-cure, as in "Cure aspirant"). I managed to see the thread on the front page just after the Smile relay-race episode had aired. When DokiDoki started I began watching Precure.
I think she's looking at Megumi with the intention of making her into her own personal Mana.
My girlfriend made me watch Smile with her while it was airing and the bright colors, happy music, and fun times were like fucking cocaine.
Last year I came across an Aikatsu thread back when SHiN used a trip. They eventually ended up mentioning Precure and I gave it a try. It was around episode 16 of Doki when I found it.
Precure threads were much more sparse and not a continious thing when I started watching Suite and precure in general.
Where did all that time go? Dokidoki felt pretty fucking new.
I came across a Suite thread when that was airing and was surprised to see how many people watched something that almost never showed up on /a/. When Smile came around I forgot but picked it up a month or so in. It's been a wild ride since.
When heartcatch was airing and I saw the gifs on /a/.
First time I came here it was a Fresh livestream thread. I remember it had the earthquake alert on at some point, must have been one of the last 10 episodes or so. But then I only found/visited the thread randomly during HC and stopped completely at Suite I think. I came back towards the end of Smile if I recall correctly.
I'm a longtime fan but I only started participating in these threads recently because I wanted people to fanboy over HaCha with.
Saw a couple almost at the end of HeartCatch, then I didn't watch Suite nor Smile until I couple od days ago when I started watching DokiDoki. Now I'm excited as fuck to watch Happiness Charge with the rest of /a/.
Imagine if somebody from /a/ is wearing this.
Bonus points if you're /fit/.
So, is aikatsu any good?
>new image of Honey's form change
somehow it kills me even more now that it's not a two piece.
First season had its ups and downs but I'd recommend it. Second season I've stopped following because of the changes, though some people like it.
Quite. It's cute girls doing cute idol things and it's mostly fun, with drama still present but at a bare minimum.
I prefer Pretty Rythm, a dramatic show for heterosexual people such as myself.
Two forms for pink and blue. Shows only one for Honey. I'm irate.
They have something surprising planned and don't want to spoil it?
She joins later, right?
So maybe she gets a power up later, too.
She's a Yellow, she will get focus
Fuck, Pretty Rhythm is on it's 4th season. I gotta start watching that
Pretty Cure has 10 seasons, you'll be fine.
5th season is starting soon. It's called Happiness Charge.
I dropped the first season, the 3D girls were put me off.
The colors are pretty solid and I'm surprised March got a figure.
These threads go by fast.
>Her item is the Triple Dance Honey Baton. It has three forms: baton, ribbon, and maracas.
So, kind of like the Miracle Beltier?
Meh. If I had the money I'd buy CM's Gutto-Kurus instead.
I was upset they didn't show the maraca form when the other two had all their forms in display.
We aren't getting Fortune merch either, just gotta wait.
Looking forward to some kamikaze kaito jeanne action
Sasuga Buki. Aishiteru
>She's a Yellow, she will get focus
Isn't that right Buki and Rosetta?
Yes, that is if you like mad pos vibes
Worst fairy names?
My vote goes to Moop and Foop.
Moop and Foop sound so fucking Lewd.
Pride, Lust and Xerxes
HANDSOME CHANGE PRETTY SURE
I hope HaCha has good mothers
I wonder what type of mother we'll have next.
I hope HaCha has good doujins
Page 10 and I'm drunk.
I just want to let all of you know that some times when I think about the fact that there will never be a Smile sequel, I cry. I'm in love with Akane. I can't stand the thought of never seeing her in new material again. All I have is her few focus episodes and in two of them she's too busy fawning over Brian and it gets me so mad that she likes him and not me.
Please tell me there's hope for us?
>a smile sequel
I have similar feelings for Miyuki.
>Not wanting a sequel to the second best Precure series
Don't be dismissive now that anon has shared his honest feelings with us.
I'm sorry anon, but you're probably right about sequels. I guess you can hope for a future not-Akane .
Where will we lick not-Akane?
Get into NTR. It's amazing.
>Wanting Toei sequels
I want to marry not-Akane's kansai-ben.
Every Doremi sequel was top-tier.
