Why does /a/ hate Watamote and not Kuroswa, even tough they are practicilly the same thing?
Because Tomoko is a self centred prideful bitch who can't recognise any faults in herself.
Because Kurosawa tries to break the circle of social awkwardness, while Tomoko wallows in her own self sympathy and can't face reality.
Tomoko isn't supposed to though, that's her role in the manga, that's her character.
Both are likeable, but Kurosawa is more respectable as a socially awkward figure.
Because Kurosawa is legimately well written and Watamote is moe moe kyun otaku wish fullfilment self pity inducing piece of shit?
Because /v/ found watamote and started liking it.
Kurosawa is not a comedy
I'm sure they like Kurosawa as well.
Kurosawa develops quite a lot during the whole manga.
Tomoko is still stuck in the same personality she had in the first chapter.
Yes it is. Its a black comedy, but a comedy nevertheless.
That's not a black comedy, this is a black comedy.
Watamote is a black comedy as well.
The portrayal of a social akward person is accurate in both cases, so they are both well written. And Watamote is really not reliant on Moe appeal at all.
Because Kurosawa tried to better himself and became inspirational.
Did you type all that with a straight face? You couldn't possibly think that could you? Because it seems like you seriously just compared Kurosawa to Watamote and put them on equal terms - and that would be absurd. Watamote doesn't rely on more appeal? Ha! Are you kidding me? Please direct yourself to any discussion of Watamote, and you will see how 90% of it is people talking about "I'm in live! Tomoko is mai waifu!" or "lololol I can totally relate to her, are there girls like her in real life?!" or something along those lines. I like Watamote for what it is, but it is not nearly on the level of quality that something like Kurosawa is on and frankly it is completely insulting to even insinuate that
I don't what is with this talk of Tomoko of trying to better herself...she does. The intent is always good, but it comes out as akward, same as Kurosawa.
Never inspirtional tough.

Yeah not my fault people are like that. It's like Rei in Evangelion almost.
Kurosawa completed his journey for meaning of life.
Watamote is just about depressing shit happening so far.
