>4kids has purchased the rights to your favorite anime
>What's been changed?
>What's been cut?
It's just Shinji in space talking about hamburgers
A bunch of rambunctious kids and they're crazy club adventures after school in a small town.
NOT a favourite but I would like to see their attempt on ep five anyway!
I refuse to believe any more than 5% of /a/ has watched anything before 2000.
4kids after dark special
Don't forget about the fiesta!
I want to see 4kids just release modoka without editing anything because they thought it was just a cute show.
Oh god it's so painful
my sides, MY FUCKING SIDES
also, if madoka was translated by 4kids kyubeey would actually be good and shit would last less episodes.
looks like an improvement if you ask me. mailing 4kids as we speak
Who are you quoting?
Who gives a shit about anime?
It's 2000 I am balls deep in the love of my life again.
You mean Shawn. And his friends Ashley and Rita. Ashley is Rei and Rita is Asuka of course. And his guardian Melissa drinks way too much soda so she totally has bad teeth!
A kids channel called ABC3 did this last year. It was hilarious. They cater to the under 12 demographic.
>It's 2000 I am balls deep in the love of my life again.
it was your mom mate. you're 8 years old.
provide a youtube link.
I have no idea how you can PG rate Utena.
Next time do you make fun about the black surprise box?
The only cartoons I watched prior to 2000 that I knew to be Japanese in origin were Speed Racer, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon.
No youtube link but here's the page they had.
for obvious reasons they stopped airing it.
weres Digimon on that list?
>YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE..... »
>a gURLs wURLd
But then wouldn't he before 13?
how on earth do you fuck up like that? didn't the japanese guys tell em not to or something?
my bad, i mistakenly thought it was 2008. i fucked up the joke.
Join our hero, John as he meets the mysterious, but alluring Natalie and their adventure is kicked off as they are chased around and out of Paris, California by the wicked Team Grant, featuring Mrs. Grant, Sam and Han. Eventually they find their way to the Nautilus and join Captain Nemo(Hurray for public domain) in his quest to stop the evil Dr. Faceless from unleashing his weapon upon the world that will steal everyone's faces from them.
Probably not considering Aniplex were still running the "it's a normal magic girl" promos for the English dub release.
Still, it's not as funny as say Dark Horse picking up Narutaru thinking it was a Pokemon-esque thing.
Ah shit, forgot to mention little Mary and Natalie's pet lion, President.
Think of it this way:
You're the Australian licence holder to a series.
The nation's public television corporation comes to you to put in on the air.
Are you going to talk them out of it?
>sued for racis because the nig dies
The black guy always dies first.
Silly Tabitha, you made such a mess!
Oh shit, how did I miss this
Explain to them that it isn't a childrens show and convince em not to target it at little girls, or else you know shit will horribly crash.
>shop a different character in her place
>they lazily shop her in every episode after that
That's pretty great haha
The portable tamagotchi like monster you could get quickly died after I figured out a cheat code that would always kill your opponent no matter what without fail every single time.
I can't account for you having shit taste as a child.
I actually would like too see it
i think it could work fine. it's not any more negative or upsetting for a child than various late 70's/80's shoujo series that were dubbed in lots of different european countries and attained great popularity
Not to mention ouran host club and vampire knight on Friday nights.
Abc was my favorite channel back In middle school/high school.
Bye for now, not forever!
;_; I'm still waiting
Nigger you watched pokemon, and you're telling me I have shit taste? Pokemon hasn't been good since the first season, and even then it was pretty bad.
>annoying orange on tv
>ABC3 confirmed for shit taste
Who the hell thought that was a good idea?
Sorry if babbies first NTR isn't my thing.
fucking crest of friendship
Apparently that's what the kids are into these days.
>Ashley is Rei and Rita is Asuka of course
>for obvious reasons they stopped airing it.
Do you have a citation that proves they didn't finish the whole run, but rather stopped early?
>kodomo no jikan
It's about a cute girl called Dana who learns about friendship with the school teachers, and enjoys plating with her friends after school.
Rhe show gets so popular among young girls, that mattel creates dolls;after a few months it starts selling far more than the barbies.
3rd Season of Digimon > First Season > Second Season > I can't remember anything else
Sorry, I didn't realize the tiny moment at the end speaking of how Taichi and Sora didn't end up together somehow magically ruined the entire show.
I don't have anything accurate apart from comments elsewhere but apparently they only screened one episode.
Rita also comes from Alaska, amd the scenes where americans ate seen in the original are removed.
>Mami is a nigger
>Sayaka is a fucking kebab
Maybe they...didn't stop?
According to their schedule they screened it all.
From memory they did show it all. But there was a several month gap between the first episode and the series airing. They did a test screening at the beginning of 2013 and started showing the series in June I think.
I remember reading about it on ANN.
sounds reasonable enough to me. i'm having trouble understanding why people think it's not suitable as a kids' show, people dying and things going badly isn't out of the ordinary for childrens' shows that have been popular in the past. why is madoka any different?
that's one way to brain wash kids into becoming /a/ members
please tell me this version exists on the internet
They'd be working at some amerifat localized restaurant, hamurgahs for everyone. Inami would just be really really shy instead of hitting people and Katanashi's injuries are a mystery as to how they occur, probably clumsy. The only big thing I think they would cut is maybe all the implied romance, too mature for kids!
How would they do Kill La Kill...senketsu is powered by will power?
They would have to cut half the scenes and 90% of the dialogue
>Texhnolyze becomes a 5 episode series
>It shows the overworld with almost no context and makes it look like a perfect world
>Sayaka's emotional breakup
>Scenes where kyubeey is the evil one
>Fucked up ethics that go against murrican ideas
>shit won't be appealing to boys
>it will make little girls cry
like we want more people here. especially shit kids.
yeah, sure, but it's not any worse than what's worked before. things going to shit constantly was pretty much the stardard mode for 70's and 80's series aimed at young girls for some reason, and a lot of those shows got exported and had no trouble at all getting airtime or popularity
Ran would be a cute high school girl who likes to spend time with her onii-chan, I mean big brother, Ichise.
The subject matter and execution easily puts it into PG13/14A territory. Compare it to a show like Beast Player Erin where the death is much more graphic, but the show treats the event much differently.
Shawn is a happy go lucky traveler that goes around town helping out people with his friends, Cassie the little girl and Jason the cyborg
A lot of PG13-14 rated American stuff usually gets the M rated symbol here.
I can top this. The two Madoka recap movies were rated G in Quebec. Now that I think about it, PG is what it got in Canada.
Australian ratings go straight from PG to M.
>Shawn is a happy go lucky traveler that goes around town helping out people with his friends
>automatically red right to left
>don't get it
>legitimately ponder for 30 seconds what is wrong
They aired the whole thing uncensored except for bleeping out 'shit' in one scene
There was no controversy.
Although I went to the forum section to see the kid's reactions and there was a girl talking about how it was boring and that Angel Beats was her favourite anime
Huh, I thought they cut out Sayaka's funtime train ride entirely.
Nope, they just bleeped the swears. After all, the scene is kinda sorta important
>a girl talking about how it was boring and that Angel Beats was her favourite anime
This is why Aussies are the worst posters.
Jonny's Wacky Adventure
bottom left corner looks like she's wearing a beard.
Did she take that from her dad after she killed him?
or does she have a fetish?
Doesn't really matter if kids can handle it or not, just if their parents will think they can.
mention one that has at least one magical girl die
I'm an Australian and I think that's one of the most fucking retarded opinions I've ever heard.
I'm pretty sure she was, like, 11 though so I don't really care
>the OP would have no wans or pans
Leo and his best friends Karen and Cece go out to try and stop the evil robots that are piloted by aliens.
Well then, let's see what's the fav anime of little brats in your country.
I remember watching Nadia on TV when I was like five, but I can't remember much other than that I liked it. I also remember watching Cat's Eye on TV back then.
But that was all back when German TV was, well, better than it's been for at least eight years.
This will be so weird to imagine Killua.
>Sayaka is a kebab
>Kyouko is a dyke
>Mami is a nigger
>Kyubey is a cube
Leon Kingsley discovers a note book that can send naughty children to the Shadow Realm. Coming to you this Christmas!
Worst girl becomes member of the worst people on the earth.
Seems about right.
But kebab isn't Mexican.
Rose of Versailles: Not much would change in the first half, 2nd half would have to be cut completely.
Turn A Gundam: Relatively ok, take out the nuclear war section and cut down on Politics.
Aria: Nothing would change. They may cut the episode with the ghost.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: They wouldn't even try to.
I'd like to imagine LoGH would only be 20 or so episodes long because they would cut out everything that wasn't a space battle
Also, everybody is on the same side and the real reason they're fighting against space pirates is to get a flu remedy for Kirchei- I mean, Chris.
They actually did screen the whole series. Just they did that a few months after the one episode test.
Hokuto no Ken becomes "RoboBash"
All innocent deaths are cut
All scenes of oppression are cut
Various dialogue inserted to describe the people Ken kills as "robots" or "androids" (which explains the white and black blood spurts seen throughout).
Every scene where someone's mean to Pell is cut.
The bag of rice seed they fight over in the Spade arc is described as "popcorn".
The Lin x Ken unrequited love thing is replaced by Lin just calling Ken "papa" or "uncle ken" from an early point.
This was pretty funny. I'm surprised it didn't get any complaints, but for reference...they've also shown Ouran on this station in the past.
Still...they even kept in the 'it's forbidden love' part.
They would turn it into GI Joe in space essentially, only showing parts where people beat up the Earth Cult.
>The Lin x Ken unrequited love thing is replaced by Lin just calling Ken "papa" or "uncle ken" from an early point.
That is creepy.
The battlesuits they wear aren't very child friendly though
And replacing the guns with tranquilizer guns or something would take a long time
>all the violence and blood
>all the alcohol and tobacco
>all the guns and weapons
>all the swears and profanity
>all the dark themes and edge
>all the sexy and fan service
All of it, gone.
Shit, they'd probably cut out my waifu entirely.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: They'd end it at Ep. 20 and insert the congratulations scene. "Good job, Shinji! That was the last Alien!"
Honey and Clover? I guess all the romance involving Hagu would be taken out.
GaoGaiGar: They'd cut the repeated shots of baby Mamoru-kun's dick. Otherwise I don't see them changing much. I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't try licensing this series.
In 2000 The Slayers was rated R18. 4kids would not touch it.
>"Hey sis, I got your toothbrush for you."
>"No prob sis. Remember to brush before you go to bed!"
>Cut to commercial break
>"Careful with that ice cream Picolo!"
>"Sorry Thomas! I dropped it, can you help me clean it up?"
>"Sure thing kid!"
I watched the whole series aired. They never cut it.
I watched pokeman and digiman but I didn't know they were jap.
They'd change "Hell and Heaven" too. Not sure to what, but you can rest assured they'd change it. The Zonder taking over he school ep would probably get cut entirely because of Columbine.
