Can someone please explain to me what the fuck happened to Nagi? What led to his disappearance in the first place, because I'm pretty sure it wasn't explained.
Also, Mahou Sensei Niggyma General
Tune in to UQ Holders and you might find out. In 5 years.
We'll never know. Tough luck OP
speculation, but it mightve been a run-in with one of the fate models. Either that, or he was in disguise hiding with the disguised queen.
>What led to his disappearance in the first place
If you kill the Life Mage you become the next host for the life mage, or something.
Jesus this was so long ago, fuck if I remember the details.
>If you kill the Life Mage you become the next host for the life mage, or something.
Though how he was able to save Negi when his village was attacked and then get sealed in Mahora's sub-basement was never explained.
But if that holds true, then wouldn't Negi or Asuna become the Life Mage?
>inb4 Touta fights Onion Mage in last twenty chapters.
Remember how they saved Nagi somehow, probably because Asuna had magic cancel. And Negi's last spell can kill immortal things.
It's sad Akamatsu's editors keep forcing him to write shit he doesn't like. It's clearly obvious half way thru Negima Akamatsu just did whatever the fuck he wanted to do and dropped the Harem shit.
Maybe one day his editors will let him write that police drama he's been wanting. He clearly doesn't like what he is currently doing.
The last spell was used to kill demons. Not sure about universe-creators.
It was mentioned as what Negi would have to resort to without Asuna in order to stop the Life-Maker. But maybe it failed and Negi got possessed and had to kill himself. Though since he's dead in UQ Holder (or is he?), he probably died from something else anyway.
Wait so is the manga still ongoing? I can't even remember when I dropped this it has been so long.
it was force ended and UQ holder is a sequel
You missed the shitstorm sometime ago when Akamatsu canned it and rushed the ending.
He's doing UQ Holder right now, a sort of sequel.
Akamatsu is going to ass-pull Negi into UQ Holder somehow. Give it a decade.
Wait he canned it himself?
It wasn't something to do with Jump and ratings for once?
What a fucking retard
I've still got my money set on different timeline in UQ Holder.
It probably had something to do with disagreements with publishers, a law that was set to pass allowing publishers stronger rights over his work and shit.
So it really looks like he did can it so his shitty publisher didn't get more rights over negima.
So in order to stop his publishers getting stronger rights over Negima, he destroyed Negima?
Not that it wasn't on the downswing in terms of quality anyway, but still
Sounds like a good plan, what can went wrong with it?
He's the final boss.
It was probably one of many reasons, but I can only speculate based on what was happening roughly around the time, and also with knowledge that Akamatsu probably wasn't on the best terms with his editor. Naturally, he wouldn't have wanted to be constantly buttfucked with a shitty contract.
Of course UQ Holder is still being published by Kodansha, the same publishers as Negima, so who knows? Maybe they let him do his thing after he abruptly ended Negima.
Yeah, I know. Its fair enough he wanted to end the manga on his terms, but I'm still just mad that he couldn't even end it on a high note.
The Magical World arc had a decent ending, even if it was a bit of a cluster fuck, but pretty much everything after that was shit.
I look forward to the plot holes as well.
