What is /a/'s opinion of S-Cry-Ed?
It was a pretty good show, probably one of my top 15.
Also had a good dub. This show did what many shonen couldn't do in 200 episodes, make a good rivalry and a way to end it.
This. Also had a great OP, and Straight Cougar
I was honestly hoping Kill la Kill would be S-CRY-Ed 2.0
The OP was awesome and hilarious at the same time since it reminded me of Ricky Martin's 'She Bangs'. Bretty gud shirizu
>Shogeki no fasuto burrito
Re-watched it a few times, it's one of those semi-mindless action shows that you really need sometimes.
why hasn't anyone put up the movies? I cant seem to find them.
>movie subs never
Dammit anons, unless the movie is just punching and punching harder
It is honestly one of the greatest shows in terms of not fucking anything up and actually laying down great character relationships and empathy. I mean from episode one you're just like, this Kazuma guy just punches shit but damn do I feel like hes doing more than punching every time he spends one of his bullet fins. It feels like hes carrying the dreams of an honest man who doesn't know any better.
It's funny how much better the series is than the manga. It is like adaption decay just removed the shitty bits.
Kanami won all the Kazumas
Best girl won because she was so best girl that MC didn't even acknowledge the existence of any other girl.
Best girl was so best girl when she was taken MC punched his way across a country, punching so hard he broke reality.
>Also had a good dub.
The manga was the adaptation in this case. Not all anime is adapted from something.
Really? I remember when the DVDs were released they contained a motion comic exclusive on the first volume with an issue from the end of the series.
>What's wrong, you can't find your little balls?
One of my favorite series of all time, and the last episode is still one of the best fights I've ever seen in anime. I need to watch the second compilation movie to see if they handled that any differently.
Man the stuff you miss when you first watch a show at age 10
Wow when I saw this thread I was expecting everyone to just shit all over the show. I guess I just assumed because it was something I watched on Cartoon Network as a kid it would be bad. Don't remember a goddamn thing about it though.
Is it worth rewatching then?
It isn't worth it if you hate fun
That's not "MY BALLS".
Do you want a series about a mutant with a powered arm punching the shit out of everybody for 26 episodes? That's what it is, but it's well-liked because it also actually has good writing, well-directed fights and nice pacing.
>Wow when I saw this thread I was expecting everyone to just shit all over the show.
It's a show about a guy who solves his problems by punching things, and when that doesn't work, he punches HARDER.
What's not to like?
Not to mention he has his own pet loli, and the story is pretty much built around the fact someone stole her from him so he needs to go punch things until he gets her back.
So anon believes in drastic myself?
AND SHINE BRIGHTER!
Weren't Alters blatant rip-offs of Stands?
"Moo" means "Moo" in Cow.
Isn't everything a blatant rip-off of stands?
Pretty much, but who cares?
Yes, is there a problem?
WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN POSTED YET
Fan-fucking-tastic final episode. All rival fights should be carried out this way after the main story of a series is wrapped up. I kinda get the feeling KLK will do the same.
But who was hand?
This! Cougar is so Awesome!!1
GOTTA GO FAST
Let me get this straight
>Scryed is anime
>Scryed is fun
>/a/ hates anime
>/a/ hates fun
>/a/ like Scryed
How does this shit work?
It must be the work of an enemy Alter.
Top tier OP.
Good night, sweet prince.
I know it's
but the man in front of me is the wall I must break.
I like the reverse evolution of Kazuma's forms. He starts off with a jet engine, then a propeller, and then he just jumps.
A s.CRY.ed thread and this one is not here? Shame on you!
"WHO'S THE MOTHERFUCKER THAT'S LAUGHING OUT OF THIS?!!!"
How I wanted Kazuma to kill that bastard...
So this is like the third s-CRY-ed thread I have seen this month. s-CRY-ed is one of my all time favorite series, and it is cool as shit to see anon actually like something.
I don't know if anyone else is as retarded about collecting all the shit about a series they like as I am, but I searched around and couldn't find all the special features from the DVD box set release of s-CRY-ed, so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in me digging out the DVDs ripping the special features and uploading them? If I remember correctly there are interviews, motion comics, featurettes on the making of the series and character errata.
I don't want to go to the trouble if no one wants it, but if at least one other person cares I will upload to nyaa.
Did "Mad Script" freak anyone else out the first time they saw it?
thanks for reminding me that i need to rewatch some shell bullet action
This shit has to be absolutely horrible.
There is NOTHING /a/ agrees on. If this show was good, there would be threads all the time talking about how bad it is.
He was too meta for his world, I like him if anything.
/a/non normally don't talk about good shows every now and then we get a good thread also it maybe due to the fact that S-cryed is more associated with /m/
Scryed is one of my favourite series (my most re-watched, at least) and Kazuma perhaps my favourite protagonist. I remember that feeling being cemented in one of the earlier episodes where Ballsguy (Tachibana?) asked Kazuma why he didn't retreat, and Kazuma said he didn't want to be one of those people who say "I'll try again tomorrow". That hit home. He was really no-nonsense in a fight.
Also, I liked how both leads' progression of power showed in their character; not just during a fight, but during their off-time as well. While both retained their core character, they became more grim, determined/obsessed, and their physical condition deteriorated as the series went on. It made me invested.
... damn, I think it's time to re-watch it again.
So happy to watch the Tao Quan movies and find out Cougar lived
So are the movies translated yet?
Son of a whore there were movies.
It was nice, but confirmation that Kanami wins the Kazuma was the pièce de résistance.
That perfect waifu. Patiently waiting to grow old enough for her husbando. Never wavering in her love and loyalty. Always taking care of the details because she knows how hard he works to keep everything going.
>You will never have a girl love you enough to wait for you to be able to love her.
More good shit on the movies:
>No Martin vs Ryuhou
>Cougar and Kazuma meeting
>Kimishima's death made more heartbreaking
>Kyoji dying in glorious Blu-ray quality
And it's not even one-sided, he's also waiting for her. For quite some ages in the manga
Fuck the Manga.
That is fucking love right there. When you care about the loli enough to wait for it not to be loli before you make sweet gentle tender love to her.
Yes, but Kazuma coming back from Dinosaur times was sweet.
>HE ISN'T SHOOTING BLANKS
>YOU GOT YOUR ROD
>AND MY BALLS ARE HERE TOO
Come on, show me your special power.
Jobber please go and stay go
I wish her being made into a mind broken sex slave and the guy she is head over heals in love with finding her and forgetting who she is was in the anime
But how can you hate the manga after the part where Kazuma punches somebody so hard that he causes the dinosaurs to go extinct and causes evolution
Pretty mediocre, I was glad it ended, when it did. And Kazama's final form looked shit.
Manga HOLY was a bitch the drama was cheap and the fact that Kazuma created the 'word of elvolution' via time paradox was stupid.
Cougar please go, stop bullying your brother just because he faster
I think Choryujin already did something like that.
Man, what the fuck is with Japan and destroying the dinosaurs.
Thank you. I was getting worried that there weren't any edgy tweens trying too hard to fit in.
Objectively better than Code Geass
How was my post edgy? I didn't even call it bad. Are you this frustrated that I didn't like a show you like?
Wasn't CG worked on by the same team as S-cry-ed?
> fiting in
Are you capable of forming a sentence without misusing buzzwords?
>Lloyd and Kyouji same VA
Assholes did sound the same
I for one would like that.
Wow, this is actually useful.
Best OP song.
Yes, Sunrise Studio 4/Iogi.
The movies had a remix version of it, with a whole new verse
Do you have a link?
Or google "Reckless Fire 2011".
Whoops, this one.
Isn't she mindfucked in the manga?
>Objectively better than Code Geass
Nah. It does some things better, others not. I like both though.
>Wasn't CG worked on by the same team as S-cry-ed?
Same director, different writer (Kuroda).
