Commie is catching up and kigs everywhere edition.
I want to go to JP McDonalds now.
>You'll never get precure goods at your local McDonald.
Feels pretty bad man, even though I never go to McDonald to begin with.
Precure Budokai Tenkaichi when?
>you will never get a Precure coloring book from McDonald's
The translator being a hardcore Manafag could explain it. 5 more episodes until he catches up to Doremi. If he manages to be done with 48 before the last episode airs, his victory is pretty much assured.
If by "victory" you mean "releasing before Doremi", I wouldn't say that Sunday is the cutoff. If Commie gets 49 out before HaCha, that'll be enough to win, I expect.
Doremi tends to be late, but not that late.
Whoever wins we win.
I suspect a tie.
So, /pc/, before this thread goes quiet again, what are your speculations for the final episode aside from Super Bel?
I want to thank Doremi Fansubs for all their hard work in subbing Precure and (especially) Ojamajo Doremi.
WATASHI TACHI NO CHIKARA WO CURE HEART NO MOTOHE!
Bel is going to die for real, no purification nonsense, just vaporized.
Mammo and Ira are going to survive. Maybe lose the wings and hair colour, maybe not.
The boy who recognized Mana isn't going to have any lines at all.
Ange is going to stay dead.
The Trump Kingdom is going to stay dead.
It's not going to happen, but a full Wind Waker ending where the King ends up burying Trump Kingdom for "the hope of the future" would be something.
Regina, Aguri and Ai stay seperate, Joe is sad, but understands its for the best.
Rikka teaches Ira what love is.
Mana is given an award for best Seitokaichou of all time.
MakoPi continues her Idol career
Nothing really happens with Alice.
>Going to Mc Donald's when they don't have Mighty Wings anymore
>Nothing really happens with Alice.
She starts a Natto Gyouza business with Akane.
>episode ends with the viewer being taken down deep underground into Yotsuba Corp's secret labs
>on a pedistal in the center of a vault on the lowest level sits a piece of black goo
And we have a winner!
Time to watch while reading /pc/'s version and then complain about them.
In all likelihood if Commie really bum rushes Doki Doki we'll lose on episode 49.
But hey, it's finally almost over.
Do you have a .ass for the raw too?
As usual to you and Lad, thanks for all the hard work.
You sound unhappy. Cheer up! No need to get fluttered!
Do you hate Dokidoki as much as we do?
To what end?
You're not speaking for all of us.
I don't hate Doki, I just felt that Toei dragged the plot to far too many places within its airing timeframe. It feels like something that can go for 2 seasons rather than 1. While the main theme, "family" was decent enough, how Toei decided to reveal it was way too convoluted.
Smile Precure I felt had a much more simple and concise plot with a theme that anyone could understand and enjoy.
>stop not having fun
Such inferior philosophy. I subscribe to ruthless no fun allowed instead. Mana should learn from best Pink.
Never though I'd say this, but I'm with Mana on this one.
We all had the point when we were younger where we wanted access to all the 'mature' edgy stuff
So how come now that I'm at that age all I want to do is watch Chinese girl cartoons?
You lost me at plot.
Do you ever intend to release a v2 of dd47?
>Precure will never be this good again.
Are you kidding?
I'm the biggest machild. I watch all kinds of shounen, or stuff like Yu-Gi-Oh., Battle Spirits, Build Fighters and of course cute girls doing cute things.
I don't neglect anything because of how poorly people think of it.
Besides, those kind of shows never fail to be a "guilty" pleasure.
As much as I enjoyed smile, the plot was nonexistent.
>So how come now that I'm at that age all I want to do is watch Chinese girl cartoons?
You use to want to be a grown-up. Now that you actually can compare, you realized that being a kid was the best part of your life.
I just never stopped being a kid. I liked girl chinese cartoons back then and still do.
I also liked chinese girl cartoons when I was a kid. Specifically the Swedish dub of Sailor Moon. Back then however, I couldn't even admit it to myself. I think I'd convinced myself I was watching it ironically.
I am sure there will be better precure in the future, but probably none is going to look better.
I think I'm compensating for my shitty taste as a kid. For example, I skipped out on Sailor Moon but watched Naruto and 4kids One Piece
I even genuinely enjoyed Shrek the first time I saw it
Shrek's not that bad of a movie for the time.
Do you have the rest of these?
May I ask how you feel about Suite?
The only part I didn't like about Doki is that there isn't enough Rikka.
Suite Precure had a GOAT beginning, decent middle, and GOAT ending.
It also has the best and the most bling transformations in all of Precure. Also, DUAL WIELDING ITEMS.
Honestly, I don't think this is true. I mean, I hear this so much, but I would much rather watch precure now than when I was a kid.
The best part of your life is being an adult who can freely choose to do adult or childish things.
That is the answer I was looking for.
Eh, this has better res.
I would always be excited when they say "LET'S PLAY! PRECURE, MODULATION!" in perfect synch.
It mirrors Fresh Precure's transformation, as you know they're serious.
I want Ira and Rikka to combine their powers
Please 4chan let me post the best looking cures, I'm not asking much.
>Rikka - deredere
>Alice - dandere
>Makopi - tsundere
>Aguri - ???
>Regina - mayadere
Help me complete Mana's harem.
Whenever I see this picture I think moot deleted the post, because it looks way grayer than any other picture in the thread
The wonders of .jpg.
I hated the first few episodes where Hibiki and Kanade kept fighting over the most trivial things
I mean, if they have a such a fragile relationship why make them Precure in the first place?
Once it got past that point it was great though. Ami Koshimizu's sexy voice is reason enough to watch it
Yet better res.
That's not a wondrous looking jpg at all.
It looks like ass.
Thanks a ton for these.
Though I am I tad peeved they decided to put Happy and Peace in the same picture instead on being on their own like the rest.
>if they have a such a fragile relationship why make them Precure in the first place?
Real friendships are never easy to make or keep always in perfect harmony. It was a more down to earth take on a duo. Real friends argue all the time, but that only strenghtens their bonds.
This episode is still great the third time through.
I have a soft spot for Doremi's peculiar balancing act. It always makes me laugh.
Dat KJ face
Looks like KJ is takin a bitching selfie.
Welp, I should really delete lower res versions of images I already have.
HaCha will have a kissu. I'm all but certain.
KJ is getting all pumped up and serious.
I like how they decided to lit lance from below. Looks so creepy.
Why is this giving me a boner?
They went a bit too far with the "sexy" pose. It really stands out even compered to the other pictures of the set.
Regina is the coolest not-cure.
Because you're a healthy young boy.
Poor KJ will get one hell of a throat ache.
>A character so bland the only thing they bothered to do to show she switched sides is a recolor
Now compare to the true coolest non-cure, who even shows up on "favorite cure" polls and the like.
Regina will be forgotten as soon as HaCha starts.
Totto to oji no kairinasai!
And the city remains leveled.
For whatever reason. It wasn't this bad a few seconds ago.
MakoP a cute.
Regina is a not-cure. Milky Rose is a non-cure. There's no need for an argument.
>two little girls carrying an old man
>the adult guy clad in plate armor stands there, doing nothing
It's okay, shit will be fine when Hyper Bel dies. Or Alice and Reina will get their parents to rebuild it.
This is Joe we're talking about. He can hardly move as it is in that suit. Leave it to the super-girls.
She got a henshin, a cool name and toy upgrades. She's a cure. Or a totally-not-a-cure if you prefer.
>a cool name
One that doesn't include the word "Cure".
>Man of Steel.jpg
How hard will Bel fail?
Because she's totally not a cure.
This episode was pretty sicke
Truly, the wait was worth it for these quality totally-not-speedsubs.
Maybe if Regina had a massive forehead she would have become a non-Cure.
Very. He'll try to draw out Mana's selfish desires for power and it'll backfire because he'll end up drawing Mana's true power or something.
The forehead was foreshadowing. Dokidoki is too deep.
Precisely the word I thought that instant.
Mana's true power is her selfish ambition. It's a deconstruction of the selfish genre. Using the power of the bad guys against them. It's first episode Rider reference all over again, full circle.
Doki references in Futari wa?
>Smile Precure I felt had a much more simple and concise plot with a theme that anyone could understand and enjoy.
This man knows what's what.
In trying to turn Mana evil, he accidentally turns himself good due to a lack of dark energy.
It honestly would fit the series. Selfish charity, if you will.
Look at that cocky grin, holy shit.
Toei total bros.
Toei status: Bros
>Bel realizes that Mana is the real strongest Jikochuu.
>As he fades away, he begs Mana to let him become her Yes man so he can learn from the best.
Why is Mana such a poorly written character with completely one-dimensional characterization?
Why ask why when you know
Nigga when its your time to go, You go
It's because she's from a children's cartoon.
hey guys I'm wondering if you could help me out with some research
I'm making a otome VN where a magical girl must team up with one of her villains in order to defeat a greater evil and they make love and shit.
First off, I was wondering if there are any magical girl villains that look like pic related, I don't really want bishie guys as the love choices because it's over done.
Second what are some of the best magical girl designs you've seen.
>I don't really want bishie guys
Ah, too bad, we could've hooked you up with a very moe one.
>willingly choosing to be E rank luck
He climbed a mountain didn't he? Fucker is just being lazy.
>First off, I was wondering if there are any magical girl villains that look like this magical girl villain
That is a magical girl villain.
Someone post Muscle Bel
Second, I really like Symphogear's designs as well as Gen'ei's
I wish Genei wasn't so damn edgy. The designs were great, the premise was great, the OP was my favorite from that season, but it felt like it was just trying way to hard to be a dark mahou shoujo, and I ended up dropping it around episode 3 or 4.
I can't think of anyone quite so mechanical, but there's Kintolesky.
I don't really like otome games but I'd love to play one with Joker, or any of the other bishie villains, but mostly Joker.
>one of the Splash Stars making love with a golden Polish /fit/izen
I tried googling muscle bel
is it the demon looking thing
Happinesscharge Precure chewing gum
My heart doesn't go doki doki anymore; I just want my happiness charged.
i want to lick not-nagisa's salty eyebrows
Imagine if the precure voice actors came onto /a/ and read what we wrote about their characters.
"Why does he want to lick my eyebrows?"
Honestly I'm surprised that there haven't been more poorly-conceived zero-budget Madoka wannabes in the past three years. The way imouto stuff took off after Oreimo you'd think that "dark mahou shoujo" would be its own thriving subgenre too by now.
>"Why does he want to lick my eyebrows?"
As a relative newcomer, I wouldn't mind knowing as well. Lurking has got me nowhere in this regard.
They can go to 2ch and read more bizarre things.
I always assumed it was us copying a 2ch meme
Symphogear looked like one, but it went all super robot. I suppose Vividred had not-Homura.
>Why do they keep wanting my Honey?
>Why do they call me a Bitch?
We seem to do that quite a bit.
>why do they keep calling me a bitch?
Oh come on, that's a no-brainer.
I always assumed that it was just self-evident that Saki's thick, bushy, expressive eyebrows looked salty and delicious.
I found it goes back to 2008 even.
VRO was Takamura's Strike Witches x Mahou Shoujo love child and I loved how awful it was.
Which reminds me I need to get the BDs for my underage nipples.
>/a/ at the ripe age of 10 million posts
>Fresh Pretty Cure was airing back then
Is that corn on the top left?
Oh look they have a .gif of the scene I wanted a .gif of. Thanks old /a/.
If only they knew how long they'd have to wait for subs
special Regina-edition Happy Meal.
That has to be a surreal kind of feel.
>some of these anons are dead
Come now, cheer up.
They've gone to a far better place and are at peace with their waifu's.
I want Mana to stir up my insides with her cock.
>They missed out on HaCha
I want to castrate Mana.
HaCha rooms available.
>1 final episode left
We've made it this far.
I can't read moon.
Do they provide a girl in a Precure costume for you?
Is that what this is, a hotel?
Nevermind, answered my own question.
Actually that's death. They're opposites.
Precure is everywhere here.
>that feeling when you have no interest in Precure and you live in Nippon
I want to have a lot of sex in that room.
>Precure will never end in your lifetime
Life is life
>i want to stay in those rooms
>the only other people who've likely stayed in there before me are fat otaku
God dammit, that really kills my boner.
Smile PreCure Room
>That part where the older sister pushes the younger one down
sasuga best ED of precure of all eternity
S.H.Figuarts Cure March orders start!
I want to hotglue that March.
Time to buy my first PreCure figure.
>Missed out on Mewtwo and the Gen 1 starters
>they're like $100+ at my hobby shop now
>Lucario looks better than them because the dark colors mask the joints
Didn't want to waste money, but that catalog is tempting.
Haha! Has any other Precure has blown her cover as Mana just did?
Fresh girls did. And way better done.
Are figuarts any good? I might just get all the precure figures I can get if they aren't shit.
It wasn't better done
Fresh did a rather dramatic reveal near the end, but because they were going to another world without knowing if they'd be able to defeat Moebius and his cronies, especially since he already had Mugen no Memory.
Fresh, but they just felt guilty that they were rushing off to their deaths without at least telling their parents about it.
The two reveals are completely different in execution and intent. Mana was probably trying to intimidate KJ.
I need to download fresh then, as well as futari wa and splash star to finally have all the seasons
Yes. Our Lord and Savior Mana being there automatically makes it better.
It beats the hell out of suddenly yelling it to the four winds as a boast.
>Mana was probably trying to intimidate KJ.
Do you have any idea how dumb that sounds?
They're not bad. The joints stand out on some of them, usually lighter colored pieces (like flesh/skin tones). They're cheap enough where I don't mind buying them if the only other option for some characters are super expensive statues.
It was a lame addition of unnecessary drama that went nowhere.
Almost singlehandedly redeemed Doki for me. Almost. I'm surprised they decided to do something with it at all and not just pretend it never existed. They really tried to make up for never using it. When I heard "BALLOON" I jumped out of my bed screaming "It's finally happening! FUUUCK" Alice finally got her moment. All is well.
That's exactly why it's more awe-inspiring.
That's just how prideful Mana is. Either that or reassure her friends.
Perhaps, but I thought it was simply a kind thing to do. At the very least, the parents would know how you disappeared.
ugh, tamashii nations again like Beauty. I hate this shit because it doubles the price since I have to go through an intermediary.
Did anyone order and get their SH Figuarts Cure Beauty yet? I put in with an intermediary and it was supposed to release on Jan 10 but I have no idea what's going on with that.
She had tons of moments. It's a bit fragile, but Alice's shield is the most useful shield in the franchise.
>That's exactly why it's more awe-inspiring.
That shit was laughable, that was the intention. Just like pretty much anything that Mana fucks up, it's meant to be like a joke you can laugh at.
QUICK! DO YOU LIKE OR HATE MANA?
Can't it be both at the same time?
I like her, not as much as other pinks, but I don't think she's bad.
Mana is shit
She is my waifu
Mana is so divisive I can't even tell if I like her or dislike her.
Probably my favorite pink.
The only Cure I hate.
I like her because of the hate she stirs up.
Yo Alice, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but Mint has the most useful shield in the franchise.
everyone loves Mana
I hated her but now I don't even know anymore, primarily because of >>100697329
I want that calendar.
UNLIMITED JIKOCHUU WORKS
Toei-Bandai single-handedly responsible for saving Japan's GDP.
Toei remembering Nadja? Well I'll be.
>that faggot obviously-not-the-final-boss Subaru right in the middle
I would have had trouble picking a favorite up through smile, and just default to Honoka, but now that Doki is over i'll say Mana is my favorite precure.
More like Gate of Jikochuu
Like, not love though.
Also the retards claiming she's one dimensional have not even watched the show.
I think it was just Sunshine who had the shield that breaks if a mosquito lands on it. Mint and Rosetta both have reliable shields.
Mana as a character has done nothing but save the day with ease and chasing after Regina. You can't even pretend there's depth.
I agree with this anon, once Cure Sunshine's shields were broken, they were useless.
Rosetta's shields are ok!
This.........does things to me.
Alice's shield's entire existence during the 2nd and 3rd cours was nothing but breaking, outside of her focus episodes.
I loved Majokko Megu-chan, back in the days.
Just contemplate the eyes of this Greek goddess
I moisted my underwear and I'm not even a gril
Why is her neck so long?
>picked up close to 20 shows this season
>"why is everything trying to hard to be deep or serious?"
>drop most it
>end up watching more Precure
I see now. This is how it ends. I have become a slave to Toei's marketing. All I can think of is what season I want to watch next between Precure, Rider, and Sentai. I am but a cog in Toei's corporate machine. A filthy toy slut that'll swallow all of Toei's slimy toy commercials.
You don't have to just stick to Toei's stuff, you can watch any children's anime that advertises the other stuff Bandai wants to sell. I've started watching Battle Spirits and Aikatsu because of that.
>"why is everything trying to hard to be deep or serious?"
>lesbians defying physics
>no pantsu mahjong
>softcore imouto comedy
>alien love comedy
>more love comedy
What season are you even watching?
Now what the hell kind of weird-
Other than that, Mana blew her secret in a spectacular way this episode. I wonder how many pants were shat when everyone found out? And Bel, at this point he's just embarrassing, number 1 or not.
>Room = /pc/
>Girl = Precure fans
>Boy = Super sentai fags
Of course it does.
Ellen is a universal object of sexual desire.
>I wonder how many pants were shat when everyone found out?
Stream chat was in a fervor. No one had a chance to breathe as it was one "oh shit" after another.
>Makopi death flag
>Alice passing out and falling from the sky
This is a good season and I don't care what anyone thinks.
I've yet to even look at what's airing, if this is all it is I guess I'll finally get around to starting Aikatsu and some Heisei Rider
Why is Milky Rose so beautiful
Sekai Seifuku and Seki-kun are good. Chuu2Ren is, but not as enjoyable as the first season.
It's a pretty weak season, where the best stuff is all rollovers from the Fall.
One of the greatest non-finales in Precure
It makes her even MANalier :^)
The best stuff is always rollovers.
Just looked them up, they sound pretty good. Thanks anon.
At least you're not contemplating One Piece and Toriko. When I think of the several years of OP I have to catch up on and the entirety of Toriko, even this hardened Toei fiend feels a little inadequate to the task.
But since I have no Precure left to watch, what other choice do I have?
I wish I could hate you to death
Oh great, it seems like this thread won't let me sleep.
One might even call it a selfiesh.
The problem with Mana is that we don't really know what makes her click. She just does awesome things because she's the student council president. That's it. Nothing more or less.
Now if her reason for helping people and her being all forgiving was due to her grandmother being a badass and her wanting to walk in her footsteps, then she'd be a little more interesting.
She's powered by ambition.
She wants to be the Prime Minister, so she's doing everything in her power to help people (thus get her name out there) and shake hands while introducing herself.
She never misses an opportunity for self-promotion or for selfless hard-work, and she tends to make them go together in a way that's actually pretty natural.
She's the only cure I hate.
Is it just me or did one of them yell Mana's name instead?
Yes, it has something to do with her grandma, if the movie spoilers I read were right.
I would personally reason that, while she may be hyper-capable, it's because she's actually as dumb as a sack of bricks and therefor never questions why she does the things she does.
As expected of grandmothers.
best precure artist
Mana is quite a megalomaniac, but her wearing her heart on the sleeve and being a heroic protagonist somehow makes it seem latent.
I think you mean benign, and yeah, she does seem benign. She wants to be the ideal benign dictator, the happy prince who creates a happy state even after she's gone.
On the subject of the happy prince, anyone else pleased at Toei going full-on metaphor and having Rikka freeze herself solid then close her eyes? This was such a fucking great episode.
This is all assumption. We've had monologues of Rikka, Makoto, Aguri and Alice's mindsets. But we never know what goes on in Mana's head.
I found something interesting in Google. What kind of book is this? It looks official.
Spoiler'd because 2lewd4u.
>Mana: So, Nikaidou-kun, is there someone you love?
>Nikaidou: W-Who do I love is none of your business! Let's get outta here, Momota!
>Mana: What's up with you, Nikaidou-kun?
>Makoto: Don't give too much thought on it.
It's an assessment based on her actions rather than on her self-monologue.
She relentlessly helps others, relentlessly promotes herself, and otherwise she's a normal "alpha" bitch who bullies her friends in the usual ways an alpha asserts dominance.
It's the book for the movie.
Post more Mana.
That's for the movie.
To me the episode somewhat screamed, "look at all the things we could do, want to do, but can't really do on a regular basis!"
Reminds me of those promotional booklets that they'd always do for Pokemon movies where they'd essentially take scenes from the movie and convert them into a semi-digestible picture book.
I've been trying to limit myself to once per day
Thanks for the answers. Now I want it even more.
Have some NikaMomo as my token of gratitude.
Asshole Mana is best Mana.
I want to protect these smiles.
I want to protect these smiles.
Doing what once per day, onii-san?
I need more...MORE
Great, now I want to see Ellen battle a giant crab.
Professing my love for Mana
I really hate her guitar.
Hi- Hi- Hibiki
I'm out, you win this time.
Everyone is dressed as themselves.
Truly, its a thing of beauty.
If this is not a love confession then I don't know what this is.
Also, it took him 45 episodes to remember that he's supposed to call her by her name.
It took him that many episodes to get more lines.
>Shirakaba Resort Family Land amusement park .
I think this is a family friendly thing, and not a dirty sex thing. Especially since they have special children discount pricing.
I'm just happy that she got a proper shield, instead the original palm sized micro shields.
Also glad that they finally stopped having her use her stock footage to activate the shield half way through the show. I know they have to sell the toy but it was ridiculous! An attack would come, and she would still take like 30 seconds to pull out her toy and activate the shield. If the beam was that slow they could easily dodge it.
>special children discount is for families
can these things only be bought at the NS3 movie? I want that bag and picture book.
Joe reminds me of Rance. That grin, that breastplate
Dammit Dokidoki. That episode could have been really really great with only a few minor changes. I was really hyped about halfway through but then it all just kind of died. It's like a microcosm for the series.
Sengoku Joe when?
He travels throughout the land, conquering every Cure. One by one.
I'd be willing to bet there'd be sweaty, fat otaku who would book out the room.
Lottery of a convenience store.
How do I get Erika to stop milking me for semen?
Its too late to stop her once she gets started.
You can't, Anon. She's going to pump you dry.
I would post that image, but I never save it. It sickens me.
I swear to God I'm not new but... what image? Can someone else post it?
King still made conscious choice: daughter over kingdom. Is it ok to teach little girls that you can do anything for love? Was pushing Bran out of the window legitimate action?
He turned into the villain after doing so. That's the whole point.
And yes. Jaime had way too much to lose by letting the boy live, and no real obligation to the Starks anyway.
Thank you god. Now I can finally have the two Smiles I give a fuck about.
God, I'm so happy. I literally just woke-up to these news. My day couldn't start any better.
>Man Point Infinity Lesson
What does it mean?
my very first thing I thought upon seeing Happy in this thread
>He turned into the villain after doing so. That's the whole point.
And yet precures advocate this deed which made him villain. Thus they advocate villain and are against him at the same time.
Not really. They're drawing a line between the Burger King and King Selfish. If not for the existence of the black goop, the Trump King would have done nothing wrong; therefore, all the fault is on the black goop. This way, they get to follow both the new-Precure style of purifying / redeeming the boss and the old-Precure style of vaporizing the boss at the same time.
Things really don't change that much, do they?
My favourite part was the Michiru and Kaoru complaint.
>my future fucktoy is a super-heroine!
Some of the complaints in those threads seem really really silly. I bet that's what it will be like looking at Doki threads 4 years from now.
They do change a bit.
>Why is Heartcatch Precure so good?
>Why does it have to end? ;_;
>I'll miss you Itsuki, Erika, Yuri, Tsubomi, Kumojacky, Dark Precure, Cobraja, Sasorina, Kaoruko and Coupe ;_;
>At least we have Suite Precure to look forward to. ;_;
>It won't be the same, but I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
>It's the best show of 2010 and the best Precure since Splash Star
Who is whose fucktoy?
My reaction: >>100706114
If not for the existence of the black goop, there would be no doki.
Same goes for white goop.
>you will never impregnate Makopi
Yeah that is the mystery of ying yang
God, I lost it the first time. especially that "EEEHHHHHH?" afterwards.
She gives no fucks.
Thats actually true but... wasn't the movie non canon or an illusion, or something? Mana cant betray her harem that easy.
You don't betray harem by adding another piece into it
>Mana ramming him like
She took the opportunity to promote herself when she had the eyes of the world upon her. Now she'll be prime minister for certain.
>mfw I just realize this
Mana plan this shit from the start, right after she met Sharururu.
I can't still understand why she didn't kill her after that.
Please dont ruin Mana with hetero shit.
Shes the best Pink so far.
Toei is not going to give her a happy end with Ira, I bet.
The single most infuriating thing about the latest episode is her sitting around at the end like nothing happened. Jesus Christ.
She friendzoned him with power of ice
Shut up, robinho.
Hibiki is best pink, followed closely by Mana.
>best any cure
>not the worst cure
But she presented him with the largest Diamond known to man. That's like the biggest proposal ever.
>That Gainax-like music
>That ominous footsteps
"My name is Aida Mana, and I am resigning from the office of the Prime Minster of Japan. I just got a job offer from the USA, so I'm going to be their leader now."
you mean UN chairman
Is Rosetta Balloon the strongest individual attack in Precure history?
She would destroy the reason of /pol/'s existence
And Pope, as a side job.
You mean supreme leader of the world and all planets around it within a radius of half a universe.
No, hugging the villain is.
By "individual attack", do you mean "one attack", or "attack by one person"? Maybe the latter, but not even close to the former.
Would sell my Android phone and get an Iphone for this app
Sounds like a part of Dark Rosetta's scheme to depose Mana.
>She would destroy the reason of /pol/'s existence
I wonder how /pol/ would feel about her.
>good social/communication skills
>strong leadership and strive for a better society
>Capable of fighting or convincing the enemy with love
Oh the glorious leader Mana. Her reign can surpass even speed of light!
"Furthermore, my good friend and CEO of Yotsuba Corp just purchased the nations of Russia and China. I'm sure that this will bring a new era of world peace and prosperity."
>I wonder how /pol/ would feel about her.
let's ask them and link this thread
Those subtitles are ridiculous.
"Alfred, buy some china, I'm hungry."
You have the models already, Toei. Just put them in a good game. Please.
They will blame jews for brainwashing us with girl cartoons for sure.
Wouldn't /ayn/ hate the fact that Selfishness is portrayed as evil?
But it's not. The Trump King is super selfish, but still a good guy. Mana is super selfish, but still the best. And Regina is extra-selfish, but still the canon love interest.
Now I don't know what selfishness is.
Dokidoki is truly the most complex and intellectually challenging Precure.
The point is that selfishness is often the catalyst that makes people make bad and dangerous decisions.
Im about 30 episodes into Dokidoki right now.
Does Aguri/Ace eventually become likable or is she just pure fap material?
Aguri = NO FUN LOLI
Pure fap. Both are biggest bitches in Precure history.
She never changes much.
You can by marrying this new piece. I've yet to watch the movie, though. But I hope Toei doesn't get any ideas about "official male love interest" just because this dude is tsundere for Mana.
Aguri/Ace a shit for the entire time she's on screen.
She does get a bit better, but then she gets worse again.
She's a cunt and she's kind of boring.
It's a ruse.
Or so I've heard.
haruyama Sharuruururururu is best Sharuruururururu, though she still seems like a lesser Mana
especially when drawn alongside his best depiction of Mana ZR
Let's talk about mana's ass, thighs, hips, and legs.
I am waiting for a Sharuru doujin
This is no time for talking, it's time for action! *Lupin dive*
I'm hoping for one where Lance rapes her.
Mana's face looks pretty ugly to be honest.
Stop making me want to watch that.
I swear every gif of Sun Vulcan is pure gold
Why the fuck aren't you?
god that thread got me thinking, now that we've effectively seen 8 different Precure series, I want to ask: out of all the Pink 'leader' characters which one has been the least effective protagonist?
As much as I love the character I've gotta say Tsubomi, every other leader character seems to be in some way or another the glue that holds the others together, whether they be a mary sue-esque character (Mana) or a bumbling idiot with a heart of gold and a smile to match (Miyuki)
Every other leader character was given some sort of emphasis on their character or a role of heightened importance to the other characters, except Tsubomi. Hell every series movie outside the original 2 series Fw and SS involved the main character getting their own exclusive movie only power up... except Heartcatch's movie.
Maybe Heartcatch was a better series due to less influence of a dominant main character, but Tsubomi clearly was the least effective out of all of them.
That's because Tsubomi wasn't a one dimensional character and actually had an arc.
Miyuki was easily the least effective protagonist, in more ways than just being a bumbling idiot. Being a bumbling idiot is fine. Nozomi did that quite well. The difference is that Miyuki shows absolutely zero growth or progress toward her goals in her bumbling.
Nozomi discovers that she enjoys the idea of teaching, helping people generically, and all of this as an extension of her theme of wanting to make dreams come true.
Miyuki on the other hand had an opportunity to have some sort of problem solving through picture book-like solutions to problems, and entirely blew it. She also didn't even show a shred of seriousness towards the idea of making something out of her interest. She was way more interested in consumption than production, and this was honestly kind of a first for the franchise.
Lastly, I was entirely unconvinced by her leadership. She was cute and all, but I don't remember her doing anything in particular to hold the group together. The only evidence of leadership is the fact of the group sticking together. Her methods were inconsequential.
The writers of Smile chose to take the show away from a format where progress is made in any capacity. That's fine. But it definitely makes the impact of the protagonist excessively weak.
Tsubomi got a finale-exclusive powerup. That's similar. Some of the movie-"exclusive" powerups appear in the finale anyway.
Don't get me wrong, Tsubomi's growth as a person over the course of the series is one of my favourites aspects of Heartcatch, but did Tsubomi as the end of the series show any sort of leadership qualities?
>Miyuki on the other hand had an opportunity to have some sort of problem solving through picture book-like solutions to problems, and entirely blew it.
But, like the Suite girls, she intended on being an entertainer.
She wants to make picture books that everyone can enjoy.
That would have been acceptable if even once it showed her trying to do that.
Actually, I think they did, but far too late.
>Lastly, I was entirely unconvinced by her leadership.
I'm sure everyone was. For most of the show, the girls just stuck together because plot, not because Miyuki actually reeled them in.
anybody have that rizon packetlist for the xdcc bots with all of the subbed precure eps & movies?
I lost it when my previous HDD died the other day.
You can't really "lead" the heartcatch team anyway.
It's composed of an unstable crazy girl, a depressed lone wolf, and a transgendered superwoman.
Tsubomi never had a chance.
Realistically, Miyuki is the best kind of leads; Mana on the other hand with her I will do whatever I want no explanation you just follow me attitude is the worst kind of leads.
You've got it quite backwards. Mana has drive, ambition, and commands respect of others. Why would leaders be needed if explanations could get everyone on board with something? Charisma and confidence are very important aspects of leadership. It seems like you're trying to redefine what makes a leader around a definition that makes Mana look like a bad one.
If you can't convince your followers you fail. In the show Mana can because, well duh everyone loves Mana, but her kind of attitude doesn't actually work.
Oh, and also, I answered giving your shitty oversimplification of Mana's leadership style the benefit of the doubt.
It's really not even slightly like you describe.
I don't think it's the right thing to do to equate "worst leader" with "least effective protagonist". The protagonist's role is not just to lead the characters, but to lead the story. Tsubomi's development was an adequate impetus for the progression of Heartcatch's story, which was centered around overcoming your weakness and fears.
Tsubomi would have to be Mana since you put it that way.
Reading this >>100711543 again made me realize Moonlight really was pretty damn op. Being unstable was the only thing holding her back.
Then explain me how Mana convince her friends why Regina is very important to her.
You don't find this kind of eloquence just anywhere.
In a team based show, leadership is protagonism. Plain and simple. Failing that, they should at least drive the story in some way. They need to have intentions that they wish to carry out. Otherwise the story is just the main characters waiting for something to happen. This is again, fine in non-story driven shows, like Smile. It suits the show. But it definitely weakens the protagonist to an extreme degree.
That's a very very stupid thing to have to explain. It's painfully obvious to anyone with a shred of empathy.
It's perfect for breeding material.
when it comes down to it Miyuki and Tsubomi usually come up when the who the weakness 'leader' cure question is asked, and while I would say that Tsubomi definitely at the end of Heartcatch was a stronger cure than Happy at the end of Smile, when it comes down to who was the better leader, and therefore who was the more effective protagonist, Cure Happy beats her.
However I feel this is more due to the nature of the partners they had around them. Miyuki with the exception of possibly Cure Beauty had teammates who were effectively about as clueless as she was and all of them in some way or another felt as though they were indebted to her for keeping the team together (seriously listen to all of them gush over her in the Smile movie), whilst Tsubomi had very little luck in that area at all. She started out with a partner who is implied from the beginning to be stronger than her, than she got another Cure who was more mature than the two of them and swiftly took over the leadership responsibilities, who herself was then replaced by arguably the most powerful main Cure in the franchise once she regained her powers.
Tsubomi being the least effective leader is more to due with the nature of Heartcatch's story itself rather than any glaring fault in the character, however it doesn't negate the fact that she is still, in my opinion, the least effective protagonist in the franchise.
It's not obvious at all because everybody especially Makoto is strongly against the idea of making friends with Regina.
The biggest difference between Miyuki's and Tsubomi's characterization as a leader is growth and serious effort. Tsubomi's story and development as a leader or at least central figure had both. Miyuki's had neither.
Tsubomi went from negative to positive and displayed effort in doing so.
Miyuki went from 0 to 0, and maybe to 1 at the end of the show.
>In a team based show, leadership is protagonism. Plain and simple.
I can't agree with that. I don't see how it follows at all.
For example, Ikari Shinji is a great protagonist, but he's not a leader of the Eva team in any sense. He also doesn't drive the plot, and lacks motivation for most of the show. He doesn't have to have those qualities in order to be the protagonist. They're unrelated.
I'm gonna laugh a bit if in last episode suddenly Mana will be shown to date him in some future epilogue scene...
48 episodes of Mana wanting Regina and then one short scene at the end to show she's not a yuri girl but a normal young girl who is paired with a boy properly.
At which point in the show are you referring to specifically? Early on when Mana was also unsure, but willing to give Regina a chance?
After Regina had betrayed them a few times, but despite that was making progress?
After Mana had proven that she did have the potential to be a good friend, but lost that due to brainwashing?
At all of these points there were at least compelling reasons to go along with Mana, or at least not start drama over it.
Eva isn't really that much of a team based show. They are assembled in a team, yes, but it's far more formal than in precure, and none of them is designated a leader by the group that made them a team. Shinji is an effective protagonist because the story is as much about his growth and struggle as it is about teamwork, and way more than it is about leadership.
When Regina first appears and wants to make friends with Mana. Makoto then leaves their group, so obviously there's a very big conflict between the members that requires the leader's ability. What does Mana do? She doesn't do anything.
That would crush me
I agree, the fact is one of my biggest arguments against Smile was it's lack of character development and growth over the course of the series, hell I've argued with people on this board over that very fact. In terms of character growth, Tsubomi beats Miyuki by a country mile and you would be hard pressed to find anyone who'd disagree with that.
However, the problem is while Miyuki didn't grow as a character, neither really did anyone else in her team, you'd be hard press to find any serious lasting character growth in Akane, Yayoi, Nao or Reika. All 5 of them really had very static characteristics throughout the show that never evolved and as much, Miyuki was just as much the best leader for the group at the end of the show as she was at the beginning.
Heartcatch's narrative was likely an attempt to break an establish trend of the defined 'leader' character in the franchise by creating a character who effectively was the polar opposite of all the other Pink characters up to that point. By having a uncertain, shy, wallflower of a main character they gave Tsubomi something to work toward as the series went on, and as I said I feel that is one of the series greatest strength.
Tsubomi is also not designated a leader. While her growth and struggles as a character are not as significant as Shinji's, true, they are much more notable in her case than for any other Pink. Eva is not a story about leadership, but neither is Precure, a series founded on co-dependence.
It might not be a perfect comparison, but the idea is the same: you don't have to be a leader to be a protagonist.
I think Mana makes up with Mako over a jikochu battle? And convinces the others as well as they were also questioning Mana's desire to persist in befriending Regina. But she otherwise does nothing like a leader to pull the group together.
I want Mana to beat Tony Abbott in a fight and become Prime Minister of Australia
She does. She makes her feelings clear to the others over a jikochu battle to convince them.
Always with the feelings and doing it over battles of all times. Sasuga Precure.
I'm sorry, I was unclear.
Shinji was explicitly denoted as the leader of nothing. He was little more than a very necessary cog in the wheel of the system. There was already an organizational structure in place, and he was never intended to be a leader in it.
Tsubomi was one of four girls selected semi-randomly to be superheroes. They had very little guidance or structure comparatively, but unless the group works as a perfect team already, there is room for someone to step into a position of leadership. Tsubomi tried to fill that role at times, and so did Erika at others. Regardless, in her case there was definitely room for leadership, whereas in Shinji's case it would have actually been bad for him to step into a leadership role.
That would devastate the otaku
And ill be massively butthurt as well, hopefully Toei wont do something like that.
She convinces her more loyal followers to go convince Makoto, and sends them with a bag of food. Delegating tasks to followers is exactly a leadership task.
Then she saves their asses by leading the fight again.
Then she demonstrated sincerity and honesty with Regina, setting down some ground rules and limitations. Makoto saw that she wasn't being blind to Regina's faults, and respected her again.
You have no point. Mana displayed leadership in that episode too.
Reika had a bit of CD
Mana wants Regina so all girls have to like her too now.
But such way of thinking and forcing her opinion on others will make Mana perfect prime minister.
I bet her reveal too will help her in future elections.
"I'm the Mana girl who saved Japan from KJ in the past, vote for me!"
There isn't a single true word in this post.
Nice pecs Mana
Goddamn it, how you got me thinking of the Murdoch press running a smear campaign against Mana to keep Abbott in government.
'Did you know our would-be next Prime Minister was once a member of a misandrist super hero group known as Precure. Andrew Bolt asks why was there never any male Precures?'
>Delegating tasks to followers is exactly a leadership task
One thing that Mana fails at her student council job. Rikka is more like the real leader than Mana there.
> saves their asses
Like she does, always.
So do Regina and Makoto learn to deal with each other at the end of the episode even if they don't like each other? Nope, the problem is not actually solved.
Well, it would have been bad for Shinji to lead because he's a twat. No one minds when Asuka shouts orders at Shinji and Rei.
But I understand your point. You're right; Eva is not really the same kind of "team". I can't think of a better comparison, however. Maybe Sakurada Jun, from Rozen Maiden? Or Arita Haruyuki, of Accel World? Neither of those are really on Shinji's level as characters, but anime has pretty slim pickings when it comes to well-written and developed leads.
Anyway, I think we understand each other.
That was not the conflict and you know it. Or maybe you actually don't.
> no Sailor Moon anywhere in sight
It's nice being part of this fanbase. There's always something amusing or gloriously ridiculous to read.
You could totally dodge the question by shifting responsibility to Trump Kingdom. Alternatively you can say that her group was actively developing measures to counter the gender imbalance and talk about the artificial commune program.
>You could totally dodge the question by shifting responsibility to Trump Kingdom. Alternatively you can say that her group was actively developing measures to counter the gender imbalance and talk about the artificial commune program.
Hahahaha, this is now getting interesting.
Most of the characters had some sort of character development over the series in various episodes but at the end of those episodes it always returned to the norm established at the beginning of the series. Even Reika's acceptance of what 'her path' was never really changed her character in any real significant way. The same could be said for Yayoi during her father episode. The character did have some character development, but it was never everlasting and the characters never really grew from them, just accepted them and went back to their established norm.
The conflict is between Makoto and Regina. They don't like each other.
Mana as the leader has to take measures to make them work together even if they don't like each other, not just trust me I will make everything perfect by myself.
No male Precures? Are Australians not familiar with the meaning of "King"?
Jun was only really ever expected to be a battery. It's a team, but a different kind of team. I'd describe Shinku as more of a leader by the end than Shinji.
I didn't watch Accel world because I hated the setting and artstyle, not even because of the fatness so I can't comment.
Most "team" shows I watch are sports teams. Girls und Panzer, for instance. The main character of this one definitely progresses the story by advancing and maturing as a leader. Most sports anime follow a similar pattern, unless they are like One Outs, in that they don't focus on team dynamic at all.
My original point was that if there's a team dynamic, it either needs to be pretty well rounded and effective on its own, or the leader has to actually lead it, and that makes up a majority of the development of the leader's character.
>Delegating tasks to followers is exactly a leadership task
>One thing that Mana fails at her student council job. Rikka is more like the real leader than Mana there.
The rest of the student council does things offscreen. Mana just likes to take the lead where it will score her more "public relations" points. And other unrelated (I think) stuff altogether, such as helping out sports teams.
You're getting way too ahead of yourself in regards to the Murdoch press here, in terms of Australian politics what you said is likely something Mana would say on the ABC (Australia's public broadcaster) and then the Murdoch press would get all up in arms about how biased the ABC was in their reporting, whilst still demanding an explanation about the severe gender imbalance of the Precure regime (while unironically ignoring the gender imbalance of the Abbott government) and demanding the ABC be privatised.
An then they'd just go back to their original complaint and ignore any explanation ad nauseam.
It's explained in the first episode that Mana does EVERYTHING.
No, please. too soon.
If you fused Dokidoki and HaCha, you'd get Kyoryuger. Discuss.
> /pc/ -- Spindoctors
Complete bullshit. Not a single correct statement.
The conflict was that Makoto thought Regina was a bad person due to her affiliation and that she should not be given a chance at friendship. She tried to attack her alone. Then Makoto completely ignored Mana's explanation and started acting unreasonable.
It was only to a very small degree about the conflict between Regina and Makoto.
Regina wasn't on the team at all yet. Mana had no reason to try and make them work together. All she wanted was to give Regina a fair chance to be her friend. All she needed to do was make Makoto understand that this wasn't that bad of an idea, and she succeeded.
>Andrew Bolt asks why was there never any male Precures?
Haru was the main protag, but never the leader.
Also, he was a faggot.
She didn't. Makoto only says that she's still Mana's friend whatever happens, never anything about agreeing to the idea of Mana befriending Regina.
That was the point, yeah. I was trying to think of protagonists who were in teams but weren't leaders, because I don't understand the "good Pink = good leader" line that some people ascribe to.
Oh. I forgot I guess.
So what do the others do? Fap to her?
>Alternatively you can say that her group was actively developing measures to counter the gender imbalance and talk about the artificial commune program
Alternatively they'd fall back on their old standby of pandering to misplaced nationalism to turn this into a negative.
'Did you know would-be Prime minister is planning of launching an artificial commune program with her good buddies in the Yotsuba corporation. This 'deal' with lead to thousands of job being moved away from Australian shores to profit an international corporation at the expense of those at the coal face who could expect to loose... (start up random number generator)
10000 JOBS, how could such a heartless person do this to the poor Australian people.
All I really want is for Johnny Howard to come back
That was the goal. Period. Get Makoto to go along with it. You're adding conditions that were never stated in the show and are completely unnecessary. In fact, you've strengthened Mana's position as a good leader. She now has a follower that doesn't agree with her decision and goes along with it. That IS what a good leader does. Unless you actually think that everyone in politics that works together actually agree with each other.
Makoto is going along with her as a friend not because of her leadership. We are talking about leadership here and Makoto is still against the idea of whatever Mana wants to do.
Andrew Bolt needs to die.
You're being thick headed.
Makoto does not have to agree.
She just has to follow.
The fact that she does not agree and follows anyway is proof of good leadership.
A leader doesn't need to care why his subjects are listening to him. All that matters is that his actions cause people to follow him. They can have whatever reasons they like - as long as those are consequent of the leader's actions, then he's doing good leadership.
If she were just following because she was a friend, she would have never left in the first place. There would not have been conflict in the episode. The friendship was irrelevant to her choosing to accept mana's decision.
You are thick.
When there's conflicting ideas in the group, it's the leader's job to solve it and Mana never does.
It's not a good team when conflicts are obvious.
She got better.
>When there's conflicting ideas in the group, it's the leader's job to solve it
Utterly and totally wrong.
When have you ever seen a team with unanimous opinions?
The leader's job is to weigh the options, choose one, stick to it, and get everyone to do their part to stick to that choice.
Watch Star Trek or something, it has dozens of good examples of this.
Well that's what Makoto says, I don't agree with you but I'm still your friend.
So basically nothing happens.
It was an excellent episode overall, but this was indeed a bullshit point. They could have dedicated a one-second cut to showing the ice melting and her eyes opening when the great pink love wave thingy was going on. It wouldn't have been that hard.
Solving conflict means solving conflict. It doesn't necessarily require changing people's opinions.
They really did cram a lot into one episode. And reasonably they'll have to beat Bel in <10 minutes next episode.
She went from "I don't agree with you, I'm going to do things my own way" to "I don't agree with you, but you might have a point and you've convinced me to at least not go against the group"
That is progress. You're just covering your ears and pretending the episode was bullshit. It was pretty well fleshed out. I wonder if you're one of the people who were talking about loose plot threads just days before they pretty much all got tied up.
Tsubomi succeeds at being a character that awkward young girls can identify with, aka, girls who would watch anime and Precure in the first place. Self insert, yadda yadda.
Right, my point exactly.
A leader has one task in the end: Get the job done.
Followers are means to an end, not an end themselves. They could think what you're having them do is completely evil. But if they actually do it, you've led them. It is technically more effective to get someone to agree with their task, and that is optimal, but not a necessary part of being a leader.
I hope you're not implying that being able to identify with a character means that the character is just there for self-insert.
Well duh because everybody loves Mana at the end of the day.
Mana herself doesn't present the quality of leadership; in fact her very way of causing conflict in the group because she sticks to her mind disregarding others disqualifies her leadership.
No, of course not, her character also drives the idea of changing. But she succeeds at it the most from what I've seen of Tsubomi fans and who they are, and how they see her.
Mana will die.
See, you're adding conditions to the qualifications of a leader that don't actually exist.
I don't think you know what a leader does. And
>in fact her very way of causing conflict in the group because she sticks to her mind disregarding others disqualifies her leadership.
Is just plain 100% wrong.
I might as well be arguing against someone who is denying that Mana was even in the show. You present as much factual information as such a person.
Where will her soul chose to go?
I'm sure after a couple of days of wacky hijinks in the afterlife she's return to us and rise again a couple of days later
>she sticks to her mind
Ignores the objection of her friends and continues befriending Regina.
She doesn't disregard others. She actively gets them to see things her way, or if she can't, to at least consider her way as a justifiable alternative to their own.
If she were the one being convinced, instead of doing the convincing, she wouldn't be the leader. But that's not how it is.
It does not disqualify her from being a leader. Not in the slightest. Your comprehension really sucks honestly.
So causing the group to split is now also a quality of leadership?
This is a funny universe you are living in.
She'll become a fairy, just like Ange
>people eat the cake
>she is now in the people
>leaves via defecation
>spreads to the earth then plants and animals
>returns to people
>she is now Gaia
>birth of the Four Heroes of Light 25,000 years later to stop Garland
Dammit, now I'm hungry.
I want Mana cake.
If there were never any problems, she wouldn't be able to show her leadership qualities at all. The quality of a leader isn't "not causing problems", it's "resolving problems that arise". Like how courage isn't the absence of fear, but the ability to overcome fear. Being afraid doesn't make you not courageous, and causing problems doesn't make you not a good leader.
Mana will die.
But her soul will chose to go back in time, the the time when she was happiest, and she will be at cour 1 first episode.
Rikka who loves Mana want to be with her too and want to be in a time when Mana'd love her, but since she already loves Regina she'll go back in time before Mana is born, and became her mother.
>"resolving problems that arise"
What makes a good leader is to think before you act, avoid conflict before it even arises. Mana could have done much better than just letting conflicts happen.
>"resolving problems that arise"
What's better is to think before you act, avoid conflict before it even arises. Mana could have done much better than just letting conflicts happen.
If anything your point proves that Mana isn't infallible nor a perfect leader. Which is a good thing anyway.
>she repeatedly lives her life over and over again
>No one will ever figure out how she's so successful in everything
So, what's up with masked bishonen in HaCha again? With the whole dancing thing, it's like a tribute to Nadja or something.
Yeah sure, a tribute to a flopping one-season only franchise.
Isn't the botanical garden in HC a lot like the Mahou-dou in Sharp?
I think it has recurring staff from it, if I heard correctly.
The biggest leader thing Tsubomi did stopped was stop Yuri from her suicide attack against Dune.
And thank God for that. It has no reason to have more than one. The story's over already.
Unless, of course, the sequel's about Nadja trying to stop Rosemary from starting WW2.
>Precures don't need to breather
ROSETTA IN SPACE!
Why would Nadja have needed to be more than one season?
I just want more Rosemary.
Not with a ten foot pole
>there's a sequel CD drama with Rosemary in it
>no one's translating it
>can't find the last part
I remember this one, the twist at the end was hilarious
