I just finished the second season and have no idea what to think of Kaiki. Was he a good guy all along, some kind of batman or what? Didn't expect him to die, the guys certainly had a charm, especially when he dealt with Karen.
Also, anyone knows the name of the music which is playing during his dialogue near the end of 25th episode?
Kaiki is what 8man wishes he was.
Why wasn't I born Japanese.
Also, why haven't I seen this website linked around here before?
Everyone loves him
Anyway, time for Monogatari
oh god damnit, not again.... not again...... this is the seventh time....
Whatever, I'm leaving it here. This is a Sentou thread now.
Why isn't Kaiki the main character?
He was whatever he wanted to be, but he did still end up being not a bad guy, although not intentionally.
Who /kaka/ here
People with shit taste.
He was a good guy, even if he wanted to pretend he wasn't.
look who's talking
>that visual symbolism
THANK YOU SHAFT
Kaiki replaces all of the characters in Kill la Kill, Kaiki la Kaiki
King of Strageness
Those're his three main themees.
He was never a good guy, he does love money and did do "bad" things. But he also cared for Senjoughara and did things in what could be considered altruistic. Awesome character.
Did Kaiki love Crab?
Did Crab love Kaiki?
Kaiki a best.
He is the hero we deserve, but not the one we need.
Yes, they are OTP.
>shit generic loli blonde vampire
>better than anyone
He's a good guy posing as a bad guy.
Or actually no, he's a bad guy to everyone except Senjougahara and Kanbaru. It just so happened that the arc foused on Senjougahara a bit, so we got good Kaiki. Or as close as he gets to good, which is basically the usual conman except with a purpose that isn't money.
Also he's not dead.
Close to mine.
did you forget who was telling the story.
Let alone he always lies, but... he was /telling/ the story.
Oops. Monkey should be just after Phoenix
He's not dead baka
I like Crab when she interacts with Kaiki, but with Ararararagi she's insufferable.
Kaiki is what every noire hero wishes to be.
bat >snake god > pheonix > snail >>> crab > cat > bee > monkey > snake
Neither loved the other. Crab thought she loved Kaiki but came to the realization that she was just greatful that he seemingly wanted to help her. Kaiki respects her because of her personality and diligence.
It's a mutual respect and nothing more.
Hanamonogatari fucking when
darkness > crab=cat > cuckoo > snail > shit > rest
>Or actually no, he's a bad guy to everyone except Senjougahara and Kanbaru.
Why? what made them special?
>Or as close as he gets to good, which is basically the usual conman except with a purpose that isn't money.
I guess focus on helping Senjougahara made him look like a good guy.
>Those're his three main themees.
He has three themes? I see only Imitation spammed everywhere.
WHO I'M LYING TO?! Shaft gonna milk monogatari to death.
Stop spoiling things please
Her conversations with Araragi are some of the most enjoyable parts of the show. Their exchanges are clever, witty, and do a fantastic job of displaying not only their personalities but also their affection for each other. Only Hachikuji's scenes with Araragi come close.
Allright faggots, who Shinobu GSC here.
Wait .. people still didn't realize Ougi is the darkness?
It was already announced for 2014
>He has three themes? I see only Imitation spammed everywhere.
I also see the theme ofgeneral misfortune, but that might just be the evil theme music...
It's not like he did anything dead serious to Karen.
He simply hypnotized her into having fever for a few days in order to stop her from bothering him.
The problem really is what he did to the children.
That was at least somewhat evil.
>Her conversations with Araragi are some of the most enjoyable parts of the show.
Says who? I get bored to death by their scenes and I'm glad there were close to none in S2. Her exchanges with Kaiki were great and I learned to like her again.
The rerelease? I'm a Crabfag but I love Shinobu and couldn't pass it up. Can't wait for June.
>Why? what made them special?
Senjougahara is explained all throughout the arc and in Nise. See >>100669059
Kanbaru wasn't directly explained. He loved Kanbaru's mom, Gaen's sister. She died. He feels he should take care of Kanbaru or some shit. That's why when discussing the terms of him helping Senjougahara, Kanbaru came up. He meets her in Hanamonogatari
Seeing how they treated S2 they prefer milking Meduka.
She appeared in like two episodes in total, dude. LN fags are the only ones spouting that shit.
Well they were kind of asking for it. Literally.
He just gave them what they wanted.
Karen would have kicked it if Araragi hadn't taken it onto himself.
Is he ded?
Shipperfag detected. Senjougahara is best when away from that faggot, Monogatari S2 was fresh air.
I think it is pretty obvious it is her.
just broken teeth
He has good intentions but poor execution. For example he saved Hitagi but doomed her mother
Kaiki said it was completely harmless on would disappear on its own.
There never was a wave of "infections" that killed thousands of people. It's all made up.
Of course Kaiki could be lying here, but considering Karen recovered just like that, I doubt that.
>just broken teeth
Money can fix that
Did you not see the episode where Hachikuji died?
Okay, that`s two of us.
As I said. Two episodes. No relation to the darkness whatsoever in those. We know she's up to no good, but the anime gives us no reason to suspect her of being the darkness.
It gives plenty, Araragi started his counterattack and Shinobu asks him when he started suspecting
She never shows her hands.
>canon couple from pretty much the start
Obviously it's subjective, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. But the scenes with her and Araragi are amongst my favorites. The only conversation involving Senjougahara that I didn't care was when she was discussing food with Hanekawa. At the time I was bored out of my skull. I get the point she was trying to make but it felt needlessly lengthy.
>, but the anime gives us no reason to suspect her of being the darkness
Her character design is primarily black and she talks with Araragi as if he knew about Hachikuji.
Her conversations with Araragi is simple tsukkomi>boke kind of stuff, with a lot of verbal abuse.
Not the guy you're talking to, but did you miss the bit where the darkness particle thing was playing in her eyes?
And more importantly, her comment about liars.
>Her exchanges with Kaiki were great and I learned to like her again.
It's funny because they are embezzled as fuck and you just see Senjougahara the way Kaiki wants you to.
Personally I liked their conversations a lot better before they started going out, but I'd have to agree that they're enjoyable.
Yeah. I missed that. I guess that's a big pointer.
However, the other actions are very similar to something Gaen could've done. That's why I was on the fence about saying it was obvious.
>Guy says he might embellish the story a little bit
>EVERYTHING IS A LIE!!
How am I a shipperfag? They've been dating since the fucking beginning. That isn't shipping, it's canon.
>I punish liars
Unless someone is retarded, that's enough.
Well, if it's worth anything, latest LNs are making the theory that Gaen and Ougi are in cahoots a lot more likely.
They made it pretty obvious in the anime if you were paying attention.
You're shit? Okay.
>implying that shipping a canon couple isn't shipping
>being this mad that some doesn't like your couple
She's not my favorite but after reading Kizu I don't see how anyone could hate her.
Dude, you`re on 4chan. If there are multiple interpretations to anything, anon will always pick up the simplest and run with it.
I stopped watching before the whole Kaiki arc thing. So how did he die? He gone forever?
Hitler was just misunderstood.
You clearly don't know what shipping means. Try lurking more before you post so your new isn't so obvious.
>i stopped right before the best arc
Sure bro, let us all spoonfeed you now...
Yeah, you're right, no chance in hell that Senjougahara being portrayed as a lot more insecure and fragile than usual and suggesting conflicted romantic feelings for him might be an intentional embezzlement on his part. It was probably all exactly like that.
But NISIO even likes it, as evidenced by its continuing existence.
Also, non-cannon would be the implication behind the word shipping...
Hitler at the very least wasn`t an universal evil; you can go from here yourself.
Im not sure if it was the arc before that, but I couldnt take it anymore after the nadeko medusa thing, I just found it retarded so I stopped there. How about you stop being a faggot and just answer a simple question?
I think we can all agree he did great things.
>Yeah, you're right, no chance in hell that Senjougahara being portrayed as a lot more insecure and fragile than usual
It's like you don't understand her character.
He caught a deadly Japanese cold, then was shot on his way to the hospital. It was pretty shitty, just like your tastes.
>embarrassed by his own shipping
I just find you retarded, brah.
Just watch it yourself!
>being so buttblasted
It's okay dude, you'll always have Bake 12.
>not liking medusa arc
It was glorious to see Nadeko taken down a few notches. She's a crazy bitch. Fuck Nadeko.
You're probably thinking something stupid. Like thinking embezzlement means an utter and complete lie and what happened was totally the opposite.
Kaka means shit in my language.
Get the fuck out, быдло.
Come on I didn't read anything besides kizu and I noticed, it it's not that hard.
You mean embellishment?
Hilarious seeing as you're using the wrong word.
I apparently missed something vital to the speculation, so I'm pulling out.
KAIKI DID NOT DIE
I don't know if it's been posted yet, but you will see in Hanamonogatari that he survived. He got his teeth replaced though.
Because he's the hero Senjougahara deserves, but not the one she needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.
Watch that dialogue that Ougi had with Araragi, I think it becomes pretty obvious that she's the darkness in that scene.
It was practically directly stated that she's the darkness though
Yeah, that. Not first language, sue me. Point stands.
Why so many batman references lately.
Is /a/ becoming normal.
No point if you can't even understand english. Her actions fit perfectly with her character, especially considering the circumstances. To think everything we saw was embellished is retarded. Especially when they act in line with their established character.
Welcome to two years ago?
u wot m8
Why is Kaiki so best?
/a/ always loves characters that are kinda like Batman.
PERFECTLY DEFINED PECS.
Max Payne without alcohol addiction.
Just trying hard to help you out. I can see where you're coming from, and some details may have been embellished. But I think most of it is accurate. The very fact that she was willing to seek out Kaiki's help shows she was out of options and at her wit's end. So it makes sense for her to act the way she did. She was desperate to keep Koyomi (and herself) alive and would do anything to make that happen.
>Just trying hard to help you out
Fucking autocorrect putting in extra words.
She would normally put up a dry act, especially in dealing with Kaiki. I think she lets her guard down a lot less than Kaiki leads us to believe, even if he can see through her mask. I really don't see how that is retarded or even farfetched, it fits both of them, fits the theme of the story, and even the OP hints at it.
I think the facts are accurate, but Kaiki paints a mellower Senjougahara than what she must really have acted like. That's all I'm saying, and it's relevant because it was in reply to someone saying he started liking her again after this arc. Maybe he wouldn't if the story was told by a different narrator.
Best music is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7avlmrsdLM
A true connoisseur.
>he still think Kaiki is dead
Kaiki's speech about being fake and the value of 'real' things was pretty damn awesome.
Also, this song
He didn't die
Kaiki da best
That OP was hilarious, it made you feel like it was a cheap romcomp about kaikixhitagi
Old man dies. Young woman lives.
I still remember the first time that song crept in on Nise. Seldom have a piece of music and a character fit each other so well.
