You are entrusted with making a revolutionary romance original anime, no adaptions allowed.
The romance anime to end all romance animes
How would you do it?
Childhood friend wins
woha there, let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.
Already happened in IS.
A harem of childhood friends.
Pokemon confirmed for best romance anime
It's about a woman in a love triangle with 2 men and in the end they go gay for each other.
Shit actually happens in the first 25 episodes.
Romance anime where there is no harem/ love triangle/ rival
The REC anime already did that.
Pity about the manga.
Awkward MC that has NOONE lusting for his dick
It starts with the lovers first sex and from that the show runs backwards in time till the moment where they get introduced to each other. The interest to keep on watching would be that things get mentioned in the show will only be shown and explained later. Like Irreversible, but less depressing.
By having the main characters being a couple from the very start and have the show focus on various relationship issues rather than them beating around the bush.
Do what most romances fail to do and have it focus on the actual relationship instead of the hook up.
What will these two characters romance be like after the initial flames of passion have died down?
Done to death.
Mostly routine. It's not that having a relationship is always boring, but you just get used to each other. Which is not a bad feeling at all, but I imagine it to be hard to show in a visual medium like anime.
something actually happens
UP THE ANTE
childhood megane wins
Like what? Giant robots?
Already done in Nisekoi.
If estranged counts.
megane fujoshit wins
Couldn't save Buddy Complex
Heroine - Delinquent girl - rebel without a cause style, absentee family lashes out at a system that chose to try and sweep her under the rung rather than help her.
Smokes, ignores adults, skips classes, gets into fights over nothing.
MC - Poor family standing caused him and single parent to be ostracized from society. Withdrawn from society as a coping mechanism to the point of Nihilism.
They get a grouped up a lot due to both being outcasted. Eventually learn that they share similarly bleak views and social opinions. A love born of hate.
Over time they help each other a lot finding something to live for in the other.
Delinquent girl gets threatened with expulsion due to general excessive increase in her acting out caused by the affirmation of MC, she feels right in doing it because "fuck the world".
They try to tone down their behavior but it is to unbearable to stop being the version of themselves that the other fell for.
They end up being separated once she gets expelled after some big finale type deal.
Who? When? What?
Is this guy serious?
What kind of faggot befriends girls as a kid? Is there no Japanese strain of cooties?
Start as Vanilla
End with NTR
Sounds like Aku no Hana
This is rather undeveloped, but I just had it.
It's a story that follows the lives of two people that would be perfect companions. Said persons, despite having comfortable living conditions, are unsatisfied with life due to having none to share it with. The closest thing you would get to an encounter, would one entering a shop as the other leaves or them having a conversation of the internet. The last scene would be them passing a each other at a railroad crossing, both turning back when it's too late.
Does anyone have that one picture?
Imagine a slice of life anime with a little kissing, hugging, hand-holding, cuddling, patting or scarf-sharing in each episode.
I couldn't do that. The best idea I had for a romance anime is a generic harem, except it's told from the perspective of the comedy relief male best friend. He'd struggle with feelings of jealousy and inadequacy as helps his bro navigate the swarm of pussy converging on him, and along the way falls in love with one of the girls interested in his friend, and doesn't know if he should go for it or not.
Start with NTR
Become loving couple
I like it.
Oh. I see.
Although just for a while. MC is still a huge fag. Second best grill wins in the end, though.
the Japanese "cooties" or "cootilopioustitus" was a usually fatal virus specifically targeted at children. The strain mutated in the early 19th century into whats known today as the "Japanese Cold", the most deadly virus in the country that affects all ages.
but way less rotoscoped though, right?
Much different MC and no "nice girl" option. And again, I cannot stress this enough, absolutely no potato face.
>doesn't know if he should go for it or not
What kind of doubt is that? Bro won't mind one less drop in his ocean.
It was manga first so if potato face is your biggest gripe then read it.
that explains a lot about the devastatings animu colds
Lots of characters. Love triangles and polygons at the start, but in the end everyone ends up with someone, or maybe just to mix it up the ones who end up alone actually move on with their lives.
The male characters have as much personality as the girls.
Includes gay and lesbian couples.
Includes high school and college-aged characters as well as adults.
I actually thought of something like that for a sitcom a while back. Where none of the main cast interact directly but a few secondary cast would at times inadvertently go between them.
I bet this could be very successful in the japanese couple demograp-OH SNAP
Someone post "the meaning of love", you know the one.
I see, and women are still the carriers because with no woman around to nurse someone back to health there's no cold subplot.
>done to death
Is this supposed to be the punchline?
Yeah shit like that, I feel it would take a lot of thinking to get a good story out of the idea though.
Galilei Donna with everything removed but the time travel incest romance.
Still a slut.
Every single point has already been done in Genshinken
>still dressing up like a slut in public
Women never change.
i like it. Every fag could find somebody to self-insert into.
Problem could be that introducing a wide range of distinguishable and different characters isn't that easy in a highly stylized medium like anime.
Hnng, but I know that image is reversed. Also it's a shame the artist isn't very good with anatomy, his girls stand like crabs.
A very light-hearted romcom set in a post-apocalyptic future, where the MC and his childhood friend go around adventuring, looking for ancient relics, and trying to discover the origins of their world.
We will all end up in 2D-land when we die anyways. Might as well get accustomed to wonky anatomy right away.
would be interesting if the harem center is your generic totally overpowered, center-of-the-world shounen/mecha MC, complete with "girl falls on his lap" while his bro is just a normal who can barely put up with all the shit that happens around MC
>men in black arrive
>"OH GOD. WHAT IS IT THIS TIME? ALIENS? INTERDIMENSIONAL INVADERS? YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DID TO ME LAST TIME!?"
>"huh? oh no, the president of A.U.R.A. is just coming to business dinner this evening. Sorry, don't have time. Can you do the study circle with the girls?"
He's basically managing harem for MC while they totally ignore him.
Could be a great comedy.
anime about a guy who just got out of college and has started a new job, and one of his coworkers is a christmas cake. They fall in love and have kids by the end of the show and no supernatural bullshit, and forced drama doesnt happen
Its a 4 part OVA, dont want to make it too long.
still looks like a whore
Just relationships without anything happening is boring. It is. Seriously. It really is.
That actually does sound funny.
And nerds could truly self-insert for once.
Reminds me of School Rumble.
I'd say "and that's why Genshiken is one of my favorite manga" but Genshiken has no lesbians and I doubt Hato will actually end up in a homosexual relationship.
It can be done for girls, so why not for boys too? Generic bland protagonists aren't used because it's impossible to write different male characters, you know.
Also, rather than self-inserting, I just don't want to see any character having their heart broken.
School Rumble still has a ton of unrequited loves by the end, and everyone is straight.
I'm still bitter about that ending.
This sounds pretty hilarious and I'd watch the shit out of that.
Yes, a happy end for everybody would be nice.
Even if it's just because it never happens in real life.
Yeah. I know. The idea was there though.
Was it much different from he series? I didn't mind the series but it was quite different in terms of characters and developments.
My attempt would consist of two people who love each other very much, doing things that make each other very happy, with no drama between them whatsoever.
For 12 episodes. I know I would watch it.
Voiced by KanaHana
>MC is average HS student
>heroines are childhood friend, sempai from sports club he attends, student council pres he somehow ended up helping
>first he pursue the president and manage to invite her on the date
>later he find her getting willingly fucked by teacher
>he says nothing and drifts away without confronting president
>later he goes after sempai and tells her about president
>sempai act all oneechan like and get him laid
>he man up and next day goes to confront president
>before entering he overhear sempai and president laughing at how pathetic he is and sempai tells pres how shitty he was in bad
>MC stops showing up at school
>childhood friend shows up and comfort him
>MC get his hopes up and ask her out
>"sorry MC-kun, i already have a boyfriend"
seo kouji was my inspiration
I can't say, I never watched the anime version because the potato face was too off-putting.
Yeah, devoting half your time to two separate stories leaves them both spread rather thin.
Following a couple from the moment they meet throughout their whole life/marriage/having children/becoming a widow tending to your spouse tomb then dying with your spouse photo in hand.
It would be a two-cour of course.
Kana Hana wins.
This seems like a gold mine of "well, shit" reaction images,
It's basically an adaption of Kassandra by Christa Wolf, but with more emphasis on the daily life inside Troy than on the war stuff and on Kassandras relationship with her priest chief, who gets to fuck her although she doesn't really like him. And Aeneas, with whom she is in love but who rarely is present.
In the end after the fall of troy, she refueses to flee with Aeneas because she knows that he will have to transform from the man that she loved into a "hero", a murderer and upholder of the patriarchalic-opressive society.
Number 1 on tumblr at least.
Not necessarily, it's more like they're interconnected stories without the two characters realizing it.
A romance anime about a guy whose girlfriend died a year before the story's start. He really loved his girlfriend, and he's still picking up the pieces. Then a new girl enters the picture, and she falls for MC.
It will be told like two separate stories; MC and his dead girlfriend's story would be told in flashbacks, and is a fairly typical fluffy romance. Present story is about new girl trying her damnedest to make MC fall for her. MC rebuffs her advances in the beginning, but his resistance slowly weakens. He never goes for a relationship with new girl though, cause he still can't get over his girlfriend's death.
there is a couple, one dies. the were both scientists or magicians, either works.
the story follows the living partner looking for a way to be reunited with the other. their relationship is shown through flash backs.
finally finds a potential way by tearing a whole through reality, has about an equal chance of ending the universe though.
Ends with flipping the witch or casting the spell, fuck it they do both its a science/magic synergy universe now.
Ends without revealing what the result was.
A genius psychologist created a book for males having "harem syndrome" (a syndrome where a male unconsciously create it's own harem) and try to struggle it's fate while finding his one true love.
Only to be NTR'd
>"I will do whatever it takes to bring him back"
>"Anything?", a bodyless, cold voice asked
>"Anything and everything"
Okay, so the main plots points of the above aren't romantic, but the romantic subplots are great.
A harem in which the protagonist isn't dense. However it avoids becoming porn due to him wanting to save himself for marriage.
He knocks before entering any bathroom or bedroom, and goes on dates with several of the girls as he tries to decide which one he should marry.
The one he chooses has a penis. In the OVA sequel he gets mindbroken and becomes a yandere for his husband.
A romance anime is only as good as its catchy title.
You all failed.
A girl that appears halfway through the series wins.
Yuri incest. Why hasn't this been done?
I like it!
Starts as NTR.
Ends with Oldboy-esque rampage by MC, slaughtering his way through the faceless old man organization.
I demand a full season of full-length episodes of yuri incest.
>thread about best Romance anime
>NTR-fags actually think this is a fitting setting for their fetish
I even like NTR sometimes, but you fags are fucking insufferable.
My Pet Monster
The point of romances is the chase and the eventual settling down.
WHY CANT THIS EVER HAPPEN?! FUCKING BETA MC JUST MANS THE FUCK UP AND KILLS EVERY FUCKING THING
What is Robotics;Notes
I love train
There are 40 people all in love with the person infront. And the MC is in love with the last guy in the train.
Just one big circle train of love
Show ends with everyone hooking up with school shooting
>Just one big circle train of love
But the other childhood friend also lost. And the one who won was a tsundere.
A kind of meta, slightly fourth wall series.
Basically, by accident, one of the girls "wins" very early on. However, this was not according to script, and she wasn't even the "Main girl". Now more and more girls keep getting introduce according to the original plot and the main girl still keeps trying to win to get things back on track because she feels cheated out of her role.
The manga is about the MC and the harem lead trying to date and develop a relationship while these factors try to interfere.
Pick your poison for what type of girl the MC is as long as it isn't the tsundere. The tsundere was the original intended main girl.
>she was his husband
