I just got around to watching Monogatari s2.
When I saw this at the end I raged so hard, please tell me i'm not the only one.
for the millionth time, he didn't die, he shows up in hana
I'm still mad
Don't get me wrong, Kaiki is/was a great character, but I've got another definition of "suffering".
Neko Shiro's ending was suffering for me, but the catharsis was almost worth it. But then I read the novel for it to see what I missed, and really, Hanekawa's life is pure suffering, do not pass GO do not collect 200 nekos. No loving family ever, rejected, never knowing your real parents. Too much suffering.
