IT GETS REAL
goddamn did the art improve.
I started reading this and... THIS is what you call edgy, gory or whatever?
Even Deadman Wonderland had more gore so far. Overall the manga is so stunningly bland and standard Shounen fare that I thought you guys were kidding when you said it was hyped.
Yeah really, it's particularly noticeable from their hairstyles
I assume it's just trolls with genuine idiots mixed in, it hasn't been hyped either, just some people trying to force it.
Look at MAL, ANN and the other shit boards. It's legitimately hyped.
Why should I care about MAL or ANN? here on /a/ it's just moderately popular
Just wait until the anime airs, /a/non.
God, this year is mixed bag.
On the one hand we have Yuasa's Ping Pong adaption, Jojo SC, Mushishi S2, but on the other hand we have Madhouse producing shit LN adaptions liek Mahouka or Mahou Sensou, SAO 2, FT restarting and series like this or the new manga by the Elfen lied author getting an adaption. Not to mention the other Dengeki Bunko LN shit.
How do people even eat all that shit up? After 2 seasons they should all know how repetitive, boring and dumb it is.
>it's just moderately popular
No, it's like one of the most, if not the most popular manga outside of weekly shit. It's much more popular than SnK originally was.
>I was not around during female titan manga arc
Should just admit it. AgK is nothing near what SnK was.
/a/ only likes it for the frost-hitler
Takahiro makes some good overpowered heroines. Esdese and Momoyo are both good.
>new manga by the Elfen lied author getting an adaption
I really wish it was that long ski jump manga instead. That trap is so cute.
Take your anime thread goggles off.
Outside of the bigger casual manga Akame ga Kiru is one of the most popular (manga) series on /a/.
Except I was. SnK only got one decent thread a month.
Pretty much. It's still leagues more popular.
>SnK only got one decent thread a month
Who are you trying to fool here? Or are you going to play on the "decent" thread bit to ignore all the threads except one.
I've been following both from around about the same time. I was in the threads when the first chapters of Akame was dumped.
There was one thread every month that would hit around 100-200 posts at best. If I missed it, that was pretty much it.
>Akame ga Kiru is one of the most popular (manga) series on /a/.
Nah, it's mediocre at best. It's popular because it copies Muv'-Luv's 'your waifu dies' tropes.
>Muv'-Luv's 'your waifu dies' trope
I would argue that although this is true Muv-Luv does it correctly and makes it work. I am, however, legitimately upset when I see people enjoying this manga. It's simply >opinions but I still cannot see why anyone anywhere at any time would find this series enjoyable.
